Ebola patients are transported in specialized ISOPOD units that create a sealed environment allowing patients to breathe while preventing the escape of biological agents and viruses; these units feature glove ports for medical staff to provide care, diaper systems for waste management, and suction systems for vomiting, with the entire unit being burned after use to ensure complete decontamination.

Transport of Ebola Infected Americans in Claustrophobic ISOPOD & Why They Can’t Return to USAAdded:
So, what the flip is this? This thing right here, I looked up because I didn't know what it was made of. So, it's made of some stuff that can really like it really like seals you in. Okay, it's called the isopod, but it really seals you in. I've never saw one up close.
I've never seen one up close, right? But it does seal in the human and the biological agents and the viruses and stuff that the human has inside this this coffin-like isopod, right? Um, they can breathe. the um the patient can breathe. Fresh air goes in um but no air can come out. And there are these like glove ports and stuff where the where the doctors and the nurses can work on them if need be while they're be while they're in transport. Okay. Now, here's the question that I had about the whole can they get out to use the bathroom?
Absolutely not. So, um traveling short distances is the best. Okay. You don't want to have to travel like 24-hour flight or nothing like that because I mean it's going to be poop everywhere.
But like they have um they have they wearing diapers. So if they have to urinate, defecate, they can do it. Um but they they cannot exit.
They can't exit that isopod. They in there. Once they in there, they claustrophobic or not claustrophobic, you're in there. If you're claustrophobic, I guess they're going to give you some medication. Okay. It make you drowsy, make you sleepy, make you just whatever. But you're in there. You can't get out until you get to your next destination. Okay. If you're vomiting, I guess they I mean you have I think they have something in there where they can vomit in and the the doctors and the nurses, they can adjust the patient if they're vomiting, hold their head up, do whatever they need to do so they won't choke. Um but yeah, they can be they can work on the patient and everything like that. I think they some of them have a suction.
Some of them isopods have a suction. I mean they it's really really Yeah. So that nobody around you will get sick. So with what you got. So yeah, that's how they're treating the um Ebola patients right now. So when you think about them being transported to Europe from Africa, the doctors um being transported, that's how they were transported. They put they had on a diaper um they were able to care for them within that isopod and they were able to breathe and everything like that. So yeah, and I don't know how they clean up the mess.
I don't know how to clean up the mess because I mean they got to get him out of the isopod eventually.
I don't know how to I know I know that that after the patient is out of the isopod they burn this thing. Okay. So I'm assuming they're all rolled up and you know the PPE personal protective equipment but they burn it. It's in center it's gone.
Okay. It's gone. So when you think about that that's what's actually going on. So it's not an easy route for the patient.
I mean the patient has to do some stuff they never ever ever have done before like sit in there urinate and you know use bathroom all themselves and it's it's a bunch. Okay. So yeah again pray for the people who are going through this. The second doctor isn't having any symptoms. The one that went to um not not Germany the first one the first one actually is diagnosed with Ebola. The second one has been exposed, however, has not tested positive for Ebola. So now the question is, why aren't the the American doctors going back to the United States of America in these isopods? Cuz the White House administration won't let them.
That's why. Um, but Germany, Europe has, from what I was looking at, Europe has some of the best high quality isolation methods in the world. So they know what the flip they're doing. They know. So they're in they're actually the public the general public over there is in great hands. Um and um the doctors and nurses and everything over there are in great hands. Um when it comes to the isolation methods that they have over in Europe in different parts of Europe. I'm not sure if it's it's widespread across Europe, but in different part I know Germany is one with one of the best isolation methods. Okay. Um but yeah, the White House absolutely not. That's absolutely not.
Yeah, they didn't think it was safe.
They didn't think it was safe for them to come over over here. So, I don't know the details of it, but yeah, they didn't think it was safe for them to come over here, but they did think it was safe for them to um get out of the World Health Organization and stop us aid.
Like how that work? How that run out? So you don't want the virus to come over here understandably because I definitely don't. But why would you pull us a so the virus can be everywhere else?
See, that's what I'm saying. Stuff don't make sense. They got Looney Tunes.
Looney Tunes in office. Looney Tunes.
