Reducing profound metaphysical systems to "game modes" is a clever but superficial attempt to commodify ancient wisdom for the digital age. It prioritizes relatability over the actual depth required to understand these complex traditions.

16 Indian Philosophies Explained Like Strategies in a Game REACTIONAdded:
Namaste friends. My wonderful member Abishek Vi requested a video I'm very intrigued about. It is called 16 Indian philosophies explained like a strategies in a game from the YouTube channel India in pixels by Ash. my buddies from Stay Spiritual reacted to it and I thought I'm going to check it out too because this YouTube channel is all about Satan Dharma and Barat and if you want to support it just like Abishek um check out the membership section and also Patreon I have more reactions on there at the moment I'm watching Star Plus Mahabarat as a time code watch along feel free to check it out and I hope to see some of you there I'm not exactly sure what awaits me in this video but I shall look forward to it and hit the like button and let's go.
>> Before we dive right into the heart of it all, let's take a step back and think about what is Indian philosophy in general. You must have heard that land of seekers, not a land of believers.
>> Desh, we have always sought for something. Sought for what exactly?
Well, you know the usual fun stuff. Ways to reduce suffering, finding the meaning of life, attain enlightenment. Society affluent. Then he climbs up the Maslo's pyramid and we move to doing all this deep about life and all that stuff.
And because time Indian civilization you know had 25% of the world's GDP it had enough time and energy to experiment with all the deeper questions of life and approaches to life strategies to plan how life should be like playing a game of PUBG uh BGMI sorry different players have different strategies to win some prefer closerange combat while others like sniping from a distance defensively.
Yeah, you can drop into Pochinki and wage an allout war. The goal is the same to emerge victorious, but the paths to get there are multiple.
>> So there is a natural analogy to how you play a game and how you live your life.
Okay, another disclaimer. All of this isn't good fun. So don't take it too seriously. If you're easily offended, maybe grab like a chai or something and come back when you're feeling [laughter] a little >> Exactly. Let's start with the first category, the easy [laughter] mode. This is the easy mode where we are just playing the game casually. The strategies in this mode are beginner friendly. They are easy to understand and get started with, but that does not mean that they are necessarily easy to master. That is also why they are the most popular of all the strategies in this chart. Gaming terms though it is tough to get a high score using these strategies. But so let's start with the first strategy.
BIT is the most democratic strategy out there. The Sanskrit word for devotion.
Bhakti is all about surrendering yourself to the game creator. In bacti, you use your emotions to please the creator, worship the creator and basically dedicate yourself to him, hoping that along the path, he will be impressed with your devotion and also maybe help you out. Bakti strategy may you don't imagine God as some mysterious abstract force in the sky. Instead, you give him a form, often an idol or an image. And not just that, you see him like a person, like a friend, a child, a master, or a lover. You basically humanize the creator. Now, if you're not the emotional kind, you might find all of this kind [laughter] of sweet, but also a little bit cringy. I mean, these guys are playing the game more from their hearts than their minds. You could also say that since Bakti folks primarily operate through emotion, new Bakti players can easily get corrupted.
They might end up following all sorts of cults, becoming excessively obsessed or even getting lost in the theatrics of it all and also get exploited in the process. But well, because of its raw appeal, bti is incredibly popular and not just in India but everywhere. You could also say that bacti is like the gateway drug of religion. It's often the first step that people take towards exploring their spiritual sight. Whether you're a casual player or a hardcore devotey, bacti offers a way to connect with the divine on a very deeply personal level.
>> Mhm. Moving on, the Puran strategy. The Puran players are the second most popular players of the game. Puran or Purana, however you want to pronounce it, literally means old or ancient stories. If you are a Purana player, you are basically the ultimate lore nerd of the game. You know everything about the game's mythology, the stories of the top players, the many gods and demons, heroes, side heroes, all of that.
Technically, the Purans are the collection of 18 major texts, each focusing on different aspects of the game lord. Some like the Bhagwat puran are all about the avatars of Vishnu which are also popular among the bhakti players. Bhagat puram starts where Mahabharatam ends. It elaborates about the end of Mahabharatam and its aftermath. It talks about the history of Parikhit Maharaja, start of Kalyugum and how it would unfold. Bhagavatapuram also elaborates the account of the conversation between Udhava and Vidura.
>> Others like the Shv Puran are a little more abstract and delve into the mysteries of the universe. Shiva puranum illustrates the origins of Shiva in the form of Agni Tambhham the conflict between Sri Mahavishnu and Brahma talks about the sacred rituals of Shivalingum.
It talks about the Shiva Tatwam the philosophy of Shiva.
>> Then there's the scandap puran the longest puran actually which is about kartika the son of Shiva scandap puranam. It is the largest of all the 18 puranas. Almost every sacred place in Bharat has a place in scandap purana.
But the purans aren't a bunch of dusty old stories only. They're also packed with practical advice and spiritual wisdom. They teach players about enlightenment, the nature of karma, reincarnation, all of which help you level up in the game. Puran shouldn't be confused [laughter] with its although they are often mentioned together side by side. and purans and nihas together are considered to be the fifth va or v fifth v for players who love to l [laughter] or liveaction roleplay or imagine themselves as the great heroes the purans and offer a wealth of inspiration these epic tales provide a framework for understanding the world and your place in it and enact yourself as maradapuram or dhapitama bhishma or the clever shakuni or the strong >> clever shakuni >> so if you're ready to geek out on some ancient Indian Lord, grab a copy of your favorite Quran and dive in. Just be warned, you might end up spending more time reading than actually playing the game. And if you don't understand the symbolism, you might take things literally and then be confused with all the conspiracy. And but hey, that's the life [laughter] of a true Buran fan.
Next, we move to the smartest strategy or as an Australian would say, Smarta, cuz it claims to be the smartest strategy.
The smartha strategy is the jack of all trades strategy. It is all about bringing together the best bits of Hinduism into one package. The founder of smartaism was Adi Shankarachara Gi who was kind of like the Steve Jobs of Hinduism. He looked at the different philosophies and [laughter] practices spread all over India and he thought to himself hey we can simplify this for everyone. So he took the Vanta philosophy mixed in a bit of yoga and then blended it all with a chutki of bhti traditions [laughter] and this was born a streamlined user friendly version of Hinduism that anyone could get into.
The smartas are known for their punchyatna puja which is kind of like having a all-star team of daties. You have got vishno shiva shakti surya and ganesha. In some smarta tradition there is even a sixth abstract and impersonal dity to represent the ultimate reality.
And if you were in South India, you might see even Kartika join the party too. But here's the thing. Smartas believe that all these dies are just different ways to connect with permatma.
It's like having multiple paths leading to the same destination. You can choose one that resonates with you the most, but ultimately they all lead to the same place. Today most Hindus including you have a bit of smartm in you even if you don't realize it.
Then you see multiple gods and goddesses mortis. They all come from the efforts of adishankar.
Next on, karma yoga. Karma yogis are the unsung heroes of the spiritual world.
They are like the best supporting actors who sadly never get an award for it.
Karma yoga is all about doing your duty without making a fuss about it or without expecting any kind of rewards.
It's the ultimate just do it mentality.
As we [laughter] all know in the Bhagat Gita, Krishna famously tells Jun, >> "Yo, Parth, you've got a job to do, my man. [laughter] Just do it, bro. Just do it."
>> Uh, all right. There's a slight chance that Krishna didn't say that but well you get the vibe right yoga is one of the four main paths to enlightenment in Hinduism. It's often seen as the easiest path because it does not require any special skills or knowledge. All you need is a willingness to work hard and have a sense of duty. Indians have long been karm yogis. I think at a time when some countries would resort to violence and destroy their culture. Our parents and grandparents were masters at showing up to work every single day. and putting in the noack for accepting whatever life threw at them with a smile hoping to be good parents for us. In a way, this attitude has helped India weather many storms and emerge stronger today. However, it's also important to remember that being a karma yogi does not mean to be a pushover. Sometimes all that selfless action can lead to people taking advantage of your good nature. And if you're not careful, you might find yourself stuck in a dead-end job or a stagnant situation. And because you are so detached from the end results, there is less incentive for you to innovate. I feel sometimes you do need obsession and attachment to give your 100%. But well, those are just my thoughts. Who am I to argue with Krishna?
>> Exactly.
>> If you have been liking this video, please do like and hit the subscribe button.
>> I like it. I love it. This is epic >> ch. Let's now move on to the hard mode.
These strategies are definitely not for the beginners. They require us to carefully understand a new framework to look at reality. And all these strategies involve breaking down reality into smaller fundamental components.
This is kind of like looking under the game and tinkering directly with the code yourself. You won't find many casual gamers talking about these strategies at parties. But the true geeks, the ones who are hardcore nerds about the Vedas and the opanishads will find a way to these strategies. All right, let's begin. Naya. Nya is all about logic and epistemology, the study of truth. It's like Sherlock Holmes of Hindu philosophy using deductive [laughter] reasoning to solve the mysteries of the universe. NI players have an algorithm developed to infer at universal truths the nature of knowledge and even the existence of God. NI players were the first to develop logical axioms like inference. For example, all humans are mortal. Shah Rukh Khan is a human and therefore Shah Rukh Khan is immortal. This kind of way of thinking was the innovation of the Naya people. So you can imagine the Naya players as the detective debaters of the Hindu world. Next is Vashika. Vashika is the atomic theory of Hindu philosophy.
If naya deals with epistemology, vashika deals with ontology. Rather than an abstract truth, vashika looks at the physical existence of reality. It breaks down reality into its smallest components which it calls permanu. And then vashika players try to understand how these permanus combine to create the world that we experience. It's kind of like playing a philosophical Minecraft building up complex structures with simple building blocks. Vashikas have also come up with the concept of new entities forming from the combination of basic entities which they call some yoke. Kind of like how in Minecraft combining a stick and a coal gives us a torch. Vashikas believe that everything in the world is built with such combination of building blocks. Blocks like Dravia, Gon, K, Samana, Vish and somewhere. Next in line is Sananka.
Sananka is the dualistic philosophy that sees the world as an interplay between Purusha and priti. Purusha is consciousness and procriti is matter.
Sanankas believed that procriti is made up of satwa, rajas and tamas which are the three abstract qualities out of which everything is made up of. Pracriti is drawn to purusha like iron to magnet.
And from this interaction of purusha and prcarriti buddhi or intelligence is created. From this intelligence ahankar or identity emerges and then from this ahankar 23 tatwas come into existence.
San believe that the world is real and cause and effect are tied together in one unit. Excellent description of the game mechanics I must say. Finally comes mimmansa. Mimmansa folks are the most conservative intellectuals of this tire.
They focus a lot on vic interpretation.
It's all about understanding the deeper meaning behind the rituals and the hymns of the Vedas. Mimmanza philosophers have developed complex rules of interpretation. Kind of like a secret code for unlocking the wisdom of the ancient rituals in the Vedas. So yeah, there you have it. The hardcore mode of Hindu philosophy. These strategies may not be for everyone, but for those who are willing to put in the work and the effort and the time, this tire offers a deep and rewarding path to understanding the nature of reality.
>> Amazing. Okay, let's now move.
>> Game over. Hacker mode.
>> Welcome to the hacker mode. [laughter] >> Look who decided to venture into the dark underbelly of Indian philosophy.
The hacker mode.
>> The place where the rules are bent, the boundaries are blurred and the mind is pushed to the end limits. If you thought the hard mode was intense, you haven't seen anything at all, my dear friend.
Let's start, shall we?
>> Incredible. You know what?
>> Buddhism.
>> I'm going to stop here. Sorry, guys. I'm going to split this into two. Abishek, this is one of the best recommendations ever. I absolutely love this video. It can't get more creative than this. And no, I'm not offended with uh jokes like that. I know the intention is good. The intention is, you know, to uh learn more about all these philosophies and bring it closer in a in a humorous way.
I can't believe how amazing this video is. So mind-blowing. So we have here the easy mode and I can totally see why bakti is in the piranha smart and karm yoga. So I'm mostly familiar with bakti and karm yoga. Um yes bakti yeah basically surrender to the lord right. I mean it's you don't need anti any any you don't need to be intellectual. You don't need to understand anything really. Um it's if you have the merit for bacti, it is [clears throat] effortless, right? It is in you and you're basically focusing on the Lord.
You you give yourself to the Lord. There is not much to understand. um the way I practice it at least uh maybe there's I don't know bakti that is more elaborate um etc but that's like I think the essence of bakti is very simple right so everything you do you you do it as an offering etc and then karma yoga is also um karma yoga I heard actually first time in uh Buddhist centers that I volunteered they called it karma yoga uh volunteering there um voluntary work. So because it's not about you, it's like it's about uh offering service. So in this sense, I think uh you offer service, you know, you do everything um for the lord, for other sensient beings, for society, etc. Um you perform your actions but surrender the result. You perform your actions selflessly. I don't know uh much to I don't know anything to say about um Hurana and Smarty at this point. Um so let's So this was the easy mode and then I loved how uh Project Chibboham was in there. Of course, one of the most amazing channels out there, extremely knowledgeable.
Okay, where's the next? Oh yeah, we have the hard mode.
Shashika, Samia, and Mimza.
Okay, I actually never heard of any of these except of Samia, which is uh the dualistic approach. Now, if I say anything wrong here, please just correct me. I'm not offended. I'm not claiming to understand anything. Um, I'm just sharing where I'm at right now. Oh, I'm so so riled up. How about we look into the comment section? Maybe there is more discussion there because I'm I'm not sure. I think everything was said there very very well and I have nothing more to add really.
Yes, at least every Indian should watch this video once. I'll make sure that yes, maybe more people who have not come across this video will watch it.
Absolutely. This is fantastic.
I love creativity.
I love when people really nail it. I don't understand how people can even call Hinduism as paganism.
It has so many philosophies and also I can't understand how can Indian even convert into Abrahamic religions. Oh, which literally has nothing to offer you compared to what India has given. H isn't this the best video on YouTube? I was born into a Christian family. But when I studied Adva vidanta madamaka Buddhism and Kashmir shaverism, it just blew my mind. When I look into Indian religions and their deep meaning, my Christianity just felt like a bunch of fairy tales to me. Fairy tales honestly like for me personally when I learned about Sanatan Dharma, uh Christianity did not feel like fairy tales anymore, but it made complete and utter sense. Um Jesus made sense to me all of a sudden and the saints too. So Jesus and the saints I see simply as realized beings, liberated beings, yogis, masters, sages, however you want to name them. And um yeah, Jesus was a realized master just like all the Christian saints. Um it it doesn't ma but yeah, maybe he means like whatever is around it, but I don't know. I don't know. I I think they can still complement each other. [clears throat] Not the Christians so much, [laughter] but but you know, the realized realized beings, the Christian mystics they call them. Bro, dropped the dopest video on Hinduism and thought we wouldn't and thought we wouldn't notice it. Yes, please. It needs to be pushed more. More people need to see this. This is fantastic. casually explaining complex Indian philosophy with gaming strategies. Yeah, this is amazing. I'm not a gamer myself. I played Super Mario on the Game Boy as a child and uh on the PlayStation as a child and I played the Harry Potter video games and Harry Potter Legacy a couple years ago. That's it. That's all my gaming history.
[laughter] But I can still appreciate a video like that. I'm a Jane in the morning, Advea during the day, and Charvaka in the night. Please explain this to me. I have no idea what this means. As a western Zen Buddhist with a blooming interest in Adveda and Indian philosophy, spirituality in general, I found this fun and informative. Thank you. Yes, absolutely. Me, too. I'm a Buddhist from Sri Lanka. This is so freaking cool.
Yes, absolutely. Everybody can benefit from this. [clears throat] This deserves an award. I'm not Indian and I found this video so insightful. Definitely gave me a new understanding and appreciation for Hindu culture and philosophy. Yes, as an American walking in with no frame of reference, you've helped me find not answers, but at least the question I should start asking about how other people see and do things.
Thank you. Yes. Yes. Maybe that's even the most important message um in this video. There are many different paths to the same goal and at different times um in our life we're drawn to different paths and uh the paths can change they can intertwine uh they can complement each other but in the end they don't have to contradict each other and uh if one of your friends is more drawn to the path of bakti and the other one more drawn to I don't know the path of meditation etc. It's it's all good. There is no in my opinion right or wrong path uh that leads to the divine, to God, to liberation, to moka, to enlightenment, to navana.
The most important is that we live virtuously and that we focus our minds on performing uh virtuous actions and uh yes on the lord with our body speech and mind. It's important those three that they are surrendered to the lord they are surrender. So in every path spir path there's always you know a focus. So then automatically there is some surrender because yeah you you give yourself [snorts] to something virtuous instead of nonverirtuous.
You could be choosing both but um if we always choose the virtuous path it is all always the dharmic path. So stray from adharma to dharma and we will reach the goal in this lifetime or the next.
Unless you're Asho follower and there is no goal but it's okay.
Okay, let's see you on the second
