There are certain things that I was doing to an extent, and you just helped me do it better. Like explaining like, "Look, like this is going to be an undulating linear progression. You're going to come in at an eight on week one, and then I'm going to get you down to a two, maybe a zero. And you're going to come in at a six, and we're going to get down to a two, maybe a zero. You're going to come in at a four, and you're going to come in, I'm going to get you down to like a zero, maybe a one. And then eventually, you're going to come in and there's going to be a week where you didn't have any pain. And you're going to be like ecstatic. And I'm going to say, "Cool, I'll see you in two weeks."
And you're going to be expecting to go.
And the reason why we can't do that is because we have the injury cycle. And you're stuck in a compensation pattern still. Your body's not having pain anymore, but within 14 days, you're going to call me and say, "Hey, I hurt myself again." Or the pain came back.
So, we have to make sure that we taper out.
