Aduhan, Ekhor-Niduolu Communities Celebrate End Of Boundary CrisisAdded:
A major step towards lasting peace was taken on Thursday as palace chiefs from Benin royal palace officially demarcated the boundary between Aduwa and Ehor mid-water communities in Owan local government area. The exercise was led by Chief Emovon Igbe-Mudia and witnessed by community leaders, elders, youth, and residents from both communities who gathered in large numbers to observe the historic process.
Community leaders and residents expressed appreciation to the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare the second, for his intervention, describing the resolution as timely and historic after years of dispute.
This moat has now stand as the boundary between Ehor mid-water and Aduwa. So, this side of it of this moat belongs to Ehor, while the other belongs to Aduwa. The palace has done the needful.
Instead of us sitting down to kill ourselves over land matters, the palace came in in good time and set to us amicably.
>> In the history of the palace, they always stand for the truth. As he came after [clears throat] a long time of disagreement on that very particular place to come and do amicable settlement among us. And at the end, both parties were all singing hallelujah, hallelujah to thank God for what they have done.
The successful resolution is expected to strengthen peaceful coexistence and pave the way for improved social and economic activities within the two neighboring communities.
