One day, while the father was propping up the last of the structure, the iron doll ate the main support beam.

He searched and saw a bright light on a distant mountaintop. He climbed through the storm and found the iron doll standing motionless. The fire in his chest extinguished by the rain. He had run to the mountain to burn himself out alone so he would never endanger his father again. The father knelt beside him and began to blow on the flame.
