And I am so tired of treating SIBO. So, why did we start a company whose whole foundation is to treat SIBO? It is because this condition is so common.
It's estimated that up to 1 billion people in the world suffer from IBS. Out of that 1 billion, anywhere from 20% to 60% Some studies even estimate 70% of these IBS patients have SIBO.
SIBO, I still hear from my patients, is considered rare. So, their gastroenterologist or primary care physician didn't test them for it. Well, anything is rare if you're not testing for it, and I'm so tired of patients suffering from a treatable condition that just doesn't need to be the norm anymore.
