What even is a CLI?

[00:00:00]So, you hear people talk about CLIs just in the middle of the sentence and you're like, "Okay, but what is a CLI?" Welcome to Cloud Concepts episode 1. I created this series because it's so easy to get wrapped up in building things in Cloud Code or in Cloud Co-work. You're using all of these tools, you're downloading these shiny plugins, and you're really just automating everything. But, when we're doing this, many times we actually don't see that we don't have the foundations down. And so, I started this series to go through each of the very basic Cloud and AI concepts so that you can actually know what you're building.

[00:00:33]So, what is a CLI that you keep hearing everywhere like it's the most common word ever. A CLI is basically a window where you type commands instead of clicking buttons. So, it has been around forever for developers, but for years it was the place that non-technical people they would be scared of and wouldn't even want to touch. So, when you're using Cloud Code, Cloud actually put a really powerful AI behind this CLI. So, now you don't actually need to know commands, you just type what you want in plain English and Cloud does the work for you. The reason Cloud lives in the CLI and not the actual agent window is because this is how it can actually get to your folders and files and a simple chat window wouldn't be able to do that.
