>> Good morning everyone. Can you all hear me?
Good morning Mike. Yes Mike, I hear you.
Okay, good. Please tell others to join up so that we can start the class.

You can see me. You can see my slide.
Kindly send a yes into the chat room.
If you can see me, if you can see [clears throat] my slide, and you can hear my voice, send a yes into the chat room.
Good. So, we are good to go.
Good. So, once once again, you're welcome to this course, CHM 102 / CHM 121.
Normally, we're supposed to have a form of an introduction section, which should be taken by Dr. Abayomi, the course coordinator.
And of course, this aspect as well is usually taken by Professor Luche. So, I am taking this part on her behalf.
And in the course of this aspect, you'll be learning about the introduction to organic chemistry and allotropes of carbon. That is the aspect that I'll be taking.
At the end of each lecture, you would also be having some exercise.
Today, uh it's going to be an open question.
So, I want as many that will participate in the class should do.
Don't bother sending in your name and matric number in the chat room.
I have another method of taking your attendance.
All I want you to do is listen and take as much notes as you can. And if you have a bothering question, you can send in or raise your hand and I'll allow you access to ask your question.
The material also will be available to you at the end of the lecture.
The material will be available to you.
If you need um some practice question, I'll also give so that you get yourself conversant with each of the topics.
The learning objective, I'm sure you can still see the next slide. Can you see the next slide, please?
Yes, ma'am.
Good.
I'm sure most of you will have this information. The learning objective, the first one is to have an information on the history of organic chemistry, brief history.
To understand the carbon allotropes with a focus on fullerenes, we'll be looking at that in the course of the lecture. We'll also be able to explore the applications of fullerenes in nanochemistry.
But for this morning, we'll focus on the brief history of organic chemistry. I'll also look at a typical question on how this particular one is being assessed in the course of any test or exam.
Please hold on. Um >> Mhm.
>> Please.
Um Is it true that you have CHM, we have another course at this period because the timetable I have is from 9:00 to 10:00.
Can anyone respond to that, please? Yes, ma'am. The time we meant to ask CHM order to is 10:00 to 11:00, not 9:00 because there's another class going on right now.
Online as well?
Yes, ma'am.
Uh, okay. I guess we have to cancel this section.
And then we convene at 10:00.
Is that okay?
Yes, ma'am. So that you can focus on the other one.
All right, ma'am.
Thank you, ma'am.
Thank you, ma'am.
