So, you can see where my hesitation is about wanting to do this, but I for my own peace of mind, I feel like this is needs to be done. That's why I wanted to come and talk to you. Sometimes we perform what's called discovery, where each person has the ability to access each other's financial documents and statements. Make sure nobody's hiding any money.

[00:01:28]>> And so, we can go to mediation. If you guys don't resolve that amicably there, then of course we'll go before the judge and have a final trial. But for your case, Mr. Williams, it sounds like it could be relatively easy and simple.

[00:01:43]Not not a whole lot of dragging on stuff, you know, just get over with and move on with our lives.

[00:01:56]>> Uh if anything you want to fill me on, I mean, I don't know how long it's going to take what I have to do from this point on since this is our first meeting. I guess what I consider a consultation.

[00:02:14]>> Absolutely. So, what I'll uh have my assistant do is send you um what's called a retainer agreement. So, you're going to pay um the funds to the firm.

[00:02:22]That will be on your trust account um and I will bill at my hourly rate as I am working on your case. Again, the first step is to draft that complaint for divorce, let the judge know what's going on. We are going to get her served. Um so, we have a private process server to get uh your wife served if she is at home or she's on the job. Um and then we'll move forward from there. We will have another strategy call um that I'll go more in depth um you know, once she sign that that um contract so that we can create the attorney-client relationship and you pay your funds, you'd officially be a client of the firm.
