I Found A Shocking Treasure Trove To ResellHinzugefügt:
Good morning everyone. It's a beautiful, beautiful day in Cleveland, Ohio. Check out that shimmering lake and the towering downtown skyline. It's time for some garage sales. People are emerging from their houses, setting up their yards full of stuff that they're going to sell to me and to other people, but mainly to me. Also, we've got critters emerging. We've got birds flying around, chirping. We've got insects coming to life. And we've got some groundhogs, too, guys. I got groundhogs in my yard.
I've been videotaping them >> there. You can see we had the whole family back there. And they make a whistling noise. Did you guys know that? It's sort of like a loud high-pitched chirping.
>> And for that reason, they also go by the name whistle pigs. It's true.
>> Look at my Look at my Look at my whistle pig.
When they go into hibernation, their heart rate slows to almost imperceptible levels. Those freaking whistle pigs, man. Call me crazy. I think they're cool. I think they're cute. And guys, this is just a part of the video where if I find something cool in nature, I'm going to talk about it. I'm going to share it with you. We're just going to go ahead and call this cool nature. Not to be confused with naughty by nature, which is a totally different thing. This is cool nature. It's time to go to some garage sales. Okay, let's go.
How much uh you asking for the little leash here?
>> Three bucks.
>> Three bucks. Yeah. No, sitting and take a look.
Yeah, it's definitely >> Look at this chest set. That's interesting.
>> Okay, first purchases of the day.
Retractable dog leash made in I know it's I know it's desirable because it says made in Germany. It's flexi. $3.
Also, I got two signs. These were 25 for both of them. Bicycles must be locked and licensed. Very cool. City of Cleveland broke the seal on the first couple purchases. Let's see what we got here, y'all.
Oh man, people are going to want to buy your brand new mower.
>> Oh yeah, I guarantee it. Everyone's going to be like, "Wait a minute.
How about the mower?" I will take the um Starbucks mug there. Little Starbucks mug. 25 cents.
This one looks good.
Yeah. What do you want for that?
>> Five bucks.
>> Or make me an offer. I'm open to suggestion.
>> Give it to you for four bucks. How about that?
>> Sure.
>> Oh, how cool.
All right, we've got a brand new Weber uh charcoal chimney that was $4. What are you guys asking for the on the Ninja?
>> 20 bucks.
>> Is it an air fryer?
>> It's an air fryer.
>> I can maybe do these glasses cases.
Three glasses cases.
the Ferragamo and two coaches.
$3 for all three.
>> Hey, how are you?
Guys, check this out. He threw in the hanger, too. And I saw the made in Italy. Um, and it's got the new with tags. This is definitely old. Ivano Bagi Sportsear.
It's got a price tag of 3.89.
Brand new. Um, definitely old. Um, and he threw in the I paid him $12 for both of these things. So that that plus Old School Cleveland Indians on the Cotton Deluxe made in the USA 2X tag.
Let's keep it going, y'all.
>> How much you asking on the bag that's that's over there? Uh, the one that's on the tabletop here, the new one.
>> Five bucks. How about on the shirts or the jackets and stuff up here? Like they got this car heart and this marmet.
>> Oh, I don't know. Three bucks.
>> Yeah, you just do even 10. Cool with that.
>> Yeah, why not?
>> Okay, so it was 10 bucks for all this stuff. It's got like a gardening barebones gardening harvest bag, men's marmet jacket, size medium, carart vest.
Look, this is some these are some cool knives.
>> Yeah, thank you. Switch blades.
>> Yeah, >> all kinds of >> you switch blades at home.
>> Whoa.
>> Nice little pocket knife.
>> That's awesome.
>> I don't know a ton about blades. What are you asking on the switch blades?
>> Uh, this is 125. um a room that has become these are it's got all these built in. There is a 75. It's a very special knife. This is $100.
>> It is a great basket. I >> have a matching cold 45 on this >> bullet.
Wow, >> that's awesome.
>> Pearl handle.
>> Yeah, he's a fruit knife from early 1900.
>> You came in on it, huh?
That was one of those situations that was really interesting. He had all these old knives. I don't know if you guys were able to see that. Tons of switchblades. One that caught my eye that was relatively cheap. And it was an old school, super old little novelty knife. This is a little tiny Snap-On brand. It's got a Kershaw blade on it, which I feel like could be cool. He wanted 25 for it. Got it for 20. And then this awesome piece of burl wood.
This like crazy piece of burl wood that has two little holes in it for like candles or something. Um, he wanted 15 on it, so I got 30 for both of these items right here.
All right, so that was interesting. That person actually had a lot of stuff inside the house. But this is cool.
There's a lot of sales here in this little area. I don't know. I'm digging it. I don't know how many of them I hit so far. I feel like I've got to I've got to have hit most of them by this point.
But this is fun, guys. This is really fun.
>> Hello How much on the bag?
>> 10.
>> 10.
>> Yeah.
>> All right, guys. Well, that was $7 for a vintage Coach bag.
That's kind of crazy. There's a deer.
Look at this deer.
Is it that deer right there?
Cool nature, guys. Cool nature.
And that was I just spent $80. $80.
Um I don't know. I don't know, guys. I just saw I know postcards can do well.
So I just saw all these postcards. See, they got all these different, you know, collectible postcards and stuff, right?
Got a whole collection of stuff. I know some of them like these ones that have like the tourist photos can do really well. So I offered them a deal on the whole box. So I bought the whole box.
And then, would you be interested in some old Playboys? Like, sure, why not?
Uh, three boxes. So, just a gigantic collection of old Playboys. I made him a deal for all the Playboys and all the postcards for $80.
Didn't think I'd be going home with like three boxes full of old Playboys. He said that they're like '9s era Playboys up to 2012. I think he said like n like like mid9s through 2012. I just took a chance on them. I don't know. We're gonna have to explore this. What do you guys think about that? So, all in all, today I took out $100 in cash to start the day. Spent all the $100 in cash. Um, and I just Venmoed him 80. So, I spent $180 today on all this stuff. What do you guys think? How did we do? That's going to wrap up the garage selling for today. I think that was good. This right here. First item up here isn't going to shock anybody. the new inbox Lego creator. It's like a carousel. $2.7 at Goodwill. It sold for $14. Five of that was shipping. After so after shipping and fees, I'm netting $3.67.
Again, not going to knock the pants off you. This is a vintage Korean brass litted rice bowl with a lot of etched artwork on it. Very cool looking. Bought it for $7.44 at Goodwill. Sold for $42.
Uh, by the way, on this one, I did flat rate shipping and my shipping because of the location actually came in a little under the $10 flat rate shipping at around $7. So, I'm netting $20.17 on this little brass bowl. It's a beautiful day to get outside and go thrifting. Try to find some treasures that we can buy at a low price, sell them online for a higher price, and use the extra money to pay off my credit card debt because it's a sizable credit card debt, right? I told you guys this. $25,000. Trying to get it down to zero. Goose egg, baby.
We've been grinding lately. We've definitely been grinding lately. Listen, every day we're taking cracks at it.
Every day we're getting out. Every day we're coming in with a with a positive mindset. Not every day, actually. I I'll adjust that. Not every day we're coming in with a positive mindset. Some days you don't want it. Some days it's a little harder. Um but the thing that does keep me going is the fact that I'm going to look both ways before I cross the street. Okay, it's safe.
The thing that does keep me going is being able to share this journey with all of you guys and having you come along with me. Um, so I can kind of show you guys what I'm finding. I got some people out there. We're on this flight together, this debt elimination mission.
Welcome aboard, guys. Strap in. Cinch that seat belt way down because it might get bumpy, okay?
But I'm hoping to make this as smooth as possible for all of us. Hi guys. Let's do this.
Okay, here we are in the electronics.
See if there's anything good in the electronic section. Looks like it's pretty loaded up.
We've got a digital photo converter.
You guys know that the sound bars can do well, but that's a Sony soundbar.
So, here's a little Sony Dream Machine.
I don't know about that one. That looks kind of dirty.
>> Lava lamps do well.
Check this out, guys. We've got a lava lamp here. It's 6:55 and looks like it works. The original lava lamp. Definitely going to get that. Been trying to keep in mind people talk about taking the item uh and multiplying it by three. So, in this case, it's we'll say $7. So, we'll say $21 is roughly what you have to be able to sell the item for in order to double your money. So, you take the price that you're going to buy it for, multiply it by three, and if you can sell it for that price on eBay or more, obviously, then your margins are pretty good. It's one thing to hear about it, it's another thing to implement it. Okay, let's keep looking, though. But I sold a like a gooseeneck um water kettle like this for like $90 or something. I don't know if that brand is good though. In used condition, 37 used Kosari kettles. Let's filter that by how many have sold in the last 90 days. 41. And they're going for $40 plus shipping, $35 plus shipping, $50 plus shipping, $21. So I would say this is pretty good. And this is 76 766.
So say eight bucks. 8 time three is 24.
So, I think we can sell this for more than $24.
>> Oh, I'm sorry. I don't work here.
>> Oh, I'm sorry.
>> That's okay.
>> I basically do.
>> I look like I know what I'm doing, but I don't work here. Guys, I speak from so much authority that someone thought I worked here, but I kind of do. I do work here, you know. I do work here. I don't actually get paid by them to do work here, but I do work here. See if there's any unique plushies.
It's that guy.
Silly slammer. Pigkin pee.
>> This is I believe this is an all over print of is it ABBA? ABBA.
All right, guys. You see something like this, you pick this up, you look at it.
It's nice. You know, if you can see it, it says Glasbake.
made in the USA. It's casserole dish.
It's like $629. It's probably like a $14 item. And you know, if I saw that previously, I might have gone with it, but not now. It's not enough. All right.
Well, I just got out of the thrift store. Let's review in the grassy field on the grassy null. First off, I got another pair of True Religion jeans, and they're size 34 and they're not made in the USA. Uh they were $1039. Next up, I got a big Brevel Brevel blender. Um, full set Breville blender. I tested it.
It works. 8.88. Brevel is a good brand.
Demand's pretty good on it. This is a working lava lamp amp. I showed you guys this. Made made in China. Got another I just been doing a lot of hot water kettles. I don't know what it is. This is a Kosori, but it was 766 and I think they go for about $30, $35. Pretty good.
Lastly on the haul for the day is this women's Lauren Ralph Lauren uh set of pajamas. It's like paisley pajamas.
These were $7. Not bad. Not bad on the day. You get a $5 discount when you spend a certain amount of money. Now we got to go home. We got to get this stuff listed.
All right, guys. Well, I am currently bursting at the seams with items to list. And I wanted to talk to you about this about these old postcards. Like they can be, you know, 20 to $30 a piece for a really good uh postcard. If you put little themes together and group them together, they can do pretty well.
Uh but let me show you really quick what to look out for and how to find one that would be like a really valuable one.
RPC's, which is real photo postcards, which this is something new I'm learning about. Maybe some of you know this.
Maybe some of you don't. Real photo postcards are usually where it's at in terms of value for postcards. And a lot of times they're black and white. They look like black and white. They look like real photos. Um that's because they are real photos that were developed directly onto the postcard. You know, they used like a dark room and like an enlarger to like take the film negative and then like print it, you know, or develop it directly onto some of these like photo paper, you know, postcards.
So that's cool. So sort of like these old real photos are little art pieces themselves and that's why they're so valuable. Now not every single black and white postcard is a real photo postcard, you know, and also when it comes to real photo postcards, some of them are worth like a little bit of money, like five bucks or six bucks or three bucks, right? And then some of them are worth like hundreds of dollars because some of these can depict, you know, scenes throughout history. And then you've got, you know, all the other type of postcards, which there are hundreds here in this box. The earliest one in this box, guys, is from that I found so far is from 1919, but a lot of them are from the 40s, 50s, 60s,7s, and a couple even from the 80s. So, it's all one family, by the way. Also, some of them that that are desirable are um linen paper. You know, you got photos of old cars, Route 66 truck stops, but now I've put them all in envelopes. So, you can see this is all New York City. Everything in here is this is these are all New York City postcards. We're also just going to list some of the other stuff we've got, you know, from the thrift store and from the uh from the garage sales this weekend.
So, have a lot of stuff to list. We got to get busy.
Also, guys, I realized that I never fully showed you this whole collection of like Playboys that I got. There's basically three boxes here. The earliest issue in this collection goes back to 1993. That's the earliest one right there. Um, and then you've got a bunch from 1994, bunch from 97, 98, 99, and then maybe that that looks like almost a No, it's not a full year of 2000 year 2000, but it's close. Um, I got all of these again for $40 total. I just took a chance on them. The guy said he had a bunch of old Playboys, and I'm like, I'll just buy them all. Who who knows?
Maybe there'll be something good in there. This other box here is 2001, 2006, 2007, 2008.
and then jumps to 2010 and 2012. The trick here with like a big collection like this seems to be, you know, you you break them out, you put them in like mini lots, and then you do a couple of the individual ones that might be worth money. Probably not great and probably too much work, honestly. But it is fun to learn something new about this stuff, you know? It's like it's fun to like read the articles, right? No, no, it's fun. It is fun to just learn um a new niche before. I've never done any kind of magazines or anything like that. So, I mean, all in all, probably could make my money back and maybe a little bit more. Um, but definitely it seems like they don't sell very fast. Does it feel like in this game, in this journey of reselling, like you have moments where you're on top of the world, and you just feel like, you know, you sort of figured a little bit more out, you've gained some traction, the sales are good, sales are coming in, and then of course, you've got moments where you're like, what is happening? And I think that was this past week. So, I'm about to show you guys the numbers. Um, because, you know, we are tracking, we are trying to pay off my credit card debt. where are tracking all of my numbers and I'm being transparent with you guys every single week in these videos what I'm actually making from from eBay. So this week though, man, nothing. I mean, just nothing coming in. I still kept listing and I'm sourcing a lot of stuff and I'm trying to be really laser focused on getting really good stuff that's in demand, you know. Of course, I you know, you always get some purchases that are sort of duds like maybe those Playboys, which I really haven't listed any of those yet. So, it's just one of those things where you you just got to kind of keep keep chugging along. Um, but it's hard to not feel like, you know, the ups and downs are brutal, aren't they? So, let me know how you guys are doing in your world. I would love to know. Um, and without further ado, here it is.
Here are here is the the raw numbers of this week of my eBay sales, guys. Go gentle on me in the comments.
So happy that you guys joined me here for another video. I'm just trying to crank them out. So, you guys know I can flex the muscle and do edit stuff and do funny bits in these videos. I would love to. Uh, but I'm just leaning into like making sure that I have a video out and just keep getting the reps in, guys. So, stick with me. Roll with me. I appreciate you all being here.
I'm going to see you guys again next week. Drop me a comment. Let me know how you're doing because I want to
