Cash stuffing £415, starting Summer, Nancy & Norris and Split, Splat, Splot! | Savings ChallengesHinzugefügt:
Hi everyone. Welcome or welcome back to Budgets and Dreams. How are you? I hope you've had an absolutely incredible sunshiny week. How nice has it been to see the sunshine this week? Yay. Um has been a little bit too hot though, right?
Um but it's been lovely. I've enjoyed it so much. Um haven't had too much of a ch chance to go out into the sunshine um since the week began. Oh, words is hard today. Um, but over the weekend I went out for just the biggest walk. Too far actually to hurt myself. Lessons learned. Um, but it's just been so nice.
Even just sitting in the house and just seeing the sunshine has just lifted my mood so much. Plus, Ben bought an air con unit. Highly recommend. Um, he did buy out of his own money. Bless him. Um, but I should be able to pay him back next month because I'm hoping for a little extra money next month, but we shall see. Um, so yeah. So, it's all good. I hope you are keeping it nice and cool. Um right so we are cash stuffing today as usual.
Uh so the affirmation last week was I am worthy of love and respect from others and this week's affirmation is there is no one else like me so I will embrace my uniqueness. A I love that. So the last time this came out um I was sort of going through a bit of a journey about my own uniqueness. Um and it touched a bit of a nerve but um reading that this time I'm definitely better. So that's really really good. So I hope that you can take this one on board as well.
There is no one else like me. So I will embrace my uniqueness. You are you own you. Love you. Respect you. Do you is my message off the back of that. Um I'm a little bit worried with this camera. I think when I uh press play I clicked a part of the screen. So I'm worried it's only focusing in like one bit of the screen. If it is really sorry I'm learning. Right. So we are cash stuffing. So we have got 415 I think in the tray today. So 20 40 60 81 20 40 60 82 20 40 60 80 93 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 95 4 5 10 15 Yeah. 415. But no coins. So if we get to the challenges, there will be some juggling to be made, but that's fine. So 4152 stuff. So, first things first. Oh, yeah.
One thing I did mean to say is what have you been up to in this lovely weather?
Um, and if you're on halfterm, what did you do? We have done nothing. Um, Oscar hasn't wanted to go anywhere or do anything. So, yeah, no halfterm spending or activities for us this week, but what have you guys get got up to? It'd be really nice to to hear about that. Oh, I'm really struggling to talk. Right.
So, first off, let's sort out this last bit of the credit card. So, I'm putting in 20 quid from my envelope from the back. This should be 150. 20 40 60 80 1 20 30 40 50. It is.
So 150 means I can tick off uh where's the lid? There it is. I can tick off this one. Yay. And then that's May credit card spending fully reconciled.
We'll move on to June in a moment. Let me just shove this in the May stack and we'll deal with that at unstuffing.
Right. So next up, May spends. We have got £40 for petrol and £10 for a car wash. And that is it. And I am so relieved. No massive load of spending for us this week. So 40 quid for petrol, 10 quid for a car wash, and this should now be 15.
Yeah. 20 40 60 80 110 15. Yeah, perfect.
Lovely. So that is the credit card sorted. Right. So into the usual stuff then. So Oscar is getting 10. Adventure, so he's got 20 in there. Adventure is also getting 10. So it has 100 20 40 60 70 80. I'm very thankful to the post office for giving me lots of£10 notes.
Uh car is getting 20. So it has 20 40 60 80 1 20 40 50 55 60 I think. So 160 there. and phones and tech is getting its 10 and that takes it up to 30. So that's that for all of our regular bits and bobs. My secret envelope at the back is empty. Should I ever have any spending money left at the end of the month, I will pop it in there or the digital pot that I have instead. Right, then into annuals. We are moving on to the summer holidays today. Yay. Uh but it is a biggie and we've only got a few weeks to save for it. So we are putting 150 pounds into summer today. So 20 40 60 80 1 20 40 and 10.
So 150 going into summer. The goal for summer is 600. But I don't know if we're going to need it all. Oh, this envelope's not open. Hang on. Oh my goodness. That took me so long. Right.
150 in there. Um, yeah, what I was saying was I don't know if we're going to need it all because I've noticed that we're really not spending as much money on holidays and stuff now that Oscar's a bit older. Um, but I'm still going to carry on stuffing it and we'll just have to see. Um, but the 200 quid for May is still there completely untouched. So, we'll see what damage we can do to that over the weekend and then reallocate anything that's left next week. So, into challenges and we have got a stack of cash left. So, 40 50 60 70 80 90 100 10 20 25 30 35 40 45 That's so much money, right? Okay, let's get busy then. If we've got a nice stack this week. So, I feel like we should actually give Oscar some money. So, I'm going to put £10 into Oscar's future.
And that is for the new challenge, Nancy and Norris. So, let's do what we've been doing, right? What month are we in today? We are in technically May. Yeah.
So, we are starting this in May 26.
Right. I'm not going to color this on camera now. I will show you what I do next week only because I'm really, really hot. So, 10 quid's gone in there and I will color that during the week.
Right. So, ducky dots. Let's go. We're going to do three of these at least today.
So, first up is yellow, which is £10.
And then we have got orange which is £15 Lush. And then lastly for today, we have got yellow again, which is £10.
Amazing. Happy, happy, happy with that.
So, in total, Ducky Dots today got 35.
We do have a bit extra. I'm just going to do one more just in case. Yellow again. Definitely jiggled those. Yellow again is£10.
Amazing. So 45 in there today. Let's swap.
Oh, let's do both of them. So 45 going into ducky dots.
So, we've now got 20 40 60 80 90 1 10 20 25 30 3540 4550 55 60 65 70 75 80 85.
Amazing. Um, let's swap out just a couple. Is there a 20 hiding behind in there somewhere? No.
Let's do another one just in case I need them vibes. Right.
So that is Ducky Dots. Right. So into May. We've managed to complete May on time, which I'm very happy about. So five quid going in and color this in.
Lush. So that there monies should be 20.
5 10 15 20 it is. So we're going to put that into savyy ready for next month.
Lovely. And then next week we'll start working on June with these hamburgers.
And I've got to try and figure out how I want to color them in.
So that is that done. Wonderful. Right.
So my niec's uni funds. We'll pop £10 in there.
So that's got 25 now. And then we are into Christmas. And I'm going to try and make a bit of a dent on this one this week. So, we're starting off in here.
Where is my There. So, we're starting off here on this pink present. So, we're moving four. 1 2 3 4 is a bble. Choose your own amount to save. Well, we've got quite a chunk. So, I'm going to do £10.
Uh 3 1 2 3 is green presents. That's two. So, we're just going to keep that in in mind. Two. Oh, I was here.
And then two again. One, two is the red present, which is one. So that's three.
Let's go one more time. Three. One, two, three is the bble. Choose your own amount. So I'm going to go two. No, that was a five, wasn't it? A green. Oh no, I don't remember what I did. One sec. So green was two, red was one, that's three. So if I say two for this bble, that's five, right?
Yeah. Let's go with that. and we'll end on that bble.
Amazing. So, 15 quid going in Santa's Little Helper this week. That is from Lily Rain Designs.
Lush. Right. All aboard. Let's put 20 quid in here.
So, 10.
Whoops. 20.
And color this in lushes. So that is that one. Might just leave that to dry for a sec cuz it's very very hot and sticky in here today.
I don't think that will dry very quickly.
Oh, so we've got 20 30 40 50 5560 6570 7580 in there.
And then Kevin is going to get watch a gangster movie. £10. So it's got 30 in there now. Which pen was I using? Is it the orange one? Yeah.
Lovely.
Oh, that's actually really nice. Hang on. I'm just going to stay here a minute. Oh, I needed that. Right. So, Kevin is going back in there and hopefully X is done. Yeah.
Lush. Right into cow stuff. So, 5 10 15 20 25 30. Actually got some money to play with. So, let's have a go at split splat splot. This is exciting. So roll the dice to see where your money will go. Will you share it across challenges?
Splat it all here or get a little break on how much you put in. Roll one or two.
Split your money. £5 to this challenge, £5 to another. Three or four. Splat £10 into this challenge. Five or six.
Splot£5 into this challenge. I love this so much. This is from the uh lovely grounded budgets who, as we know, is not selling on Etsy any longer, but yeah, classic. Love it. Right. So, we have got a six splot £5 into this challenge gladly. There we go. So, we've kicked that one off, which is great. Oh, I forgot to color it in, didn't I? Or cross it off or whatever.
Um, what pen do I want to use? I'm going to use this one. So, I did a splot. Do I cross it or tick it?
I may as well just cross it off. Right.
There you go. We splotted five pounds into there.
Perfect. Right. So, next up, the claw.
So, this is from Dilly Deli Budgets.
I am so hot.
Right. Okay. So, let's roll.
So, three, which is yellow.
Pop that one there.
I'll do the top separately in a minute.
So 3 + 4, which is green.
That's £7, isn't it? Oh, I'm going to run out of green space pretty quick if I don't want to put them next to each other. Uh, we'll roll with it for now.
Is that even the right color? Yeah.
So that's seven. So let's do that for now.
And that's this bag, isn't it? So I'll take three out.
Oh, they're all two pound coins. Hang on. I need another pound. Okay, three out. And we'll put 10 into that one. Oh, I need to do the tops.
This is looking so good.
Love it.
Perfect. And then into Dingly Designs.
You got a roll for it. Right. So, we've not done this one on camera before. So, I've got 5 10 15 16 17 £18 left. So, if I get a 20sided dice, that's this one, right? Yeah. Oh, I've never used this before. This is exciting. And we have got number Oh, that rolls so nice. Two, which isn't great because I need money for Cheeky. I want to reserve this for Cheeky. So, I'm going to roll again.
And we have got 12. So, 10. Oh, but I've only got one. Oh, no. Hang on. Right.
Okay. I'm going to do two and 12. I'm going to put in 15.
And take out one.
And then we've got four for Cheeky. That sounds good.
There is something super satisfying about how this rolls. I love it. Right.
So, two and 12. So, let's do orange. No, hang on. Red, orange, yellow, green.
Do I want to do a blue?
No. Blue? Yeah. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink. Yeah, let's go purple for this two.
And then I've got to try and figure out what color the other one was. It was 12, wasn't it? Uh, pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, red, orange. I hope. I mean, it doesn't really matter, right?
So, that is that one. Yay. So, nice to see more things colored in on here.
Really, really, really happy about that.
So, this was actually um gifted on to me from Nat at Dayall Budgets and I'm so grateful cuz I love this challenge. Um and she also gifted me this little helper as well. But yeah, thanks very much again, Nat, for doing that. Um I will be gifting on some challenges as well myself shortly. I just need to find some time to go through all of my drawers and figure out what I want to do. Right. So, we have got then4 pounds for Cheeky, which is amazing. So, let's go. So, first up is Oscar's future.
Then gifts.
Then what was five? Charity. Perfect.
And the last one is number one, which is our dear little Oz Lush. So Oscar has got five, Ben still on nothing. I've got three, Oscar's Future has six, Charity has nine, and Gifts now has six. Amazing. So that is everything for today for cash stuffing, but I will be back um in a couple of days with uh unstuffing and condensing.
Um please could you let me know? So, normally when I do like my bonus videos, so like savy and um unstuffing and condensing, I publish them midweek, but I'm thinking that I can now move those to Sunday because it actually makes it easier for me. So, let me know if you think that's a good idea or not. So, the plan is going forward that I'll be doing Friday normal and then Sunday will be the bonus video, whether that be savy or on stuffing and condensing. Uh for anyone who has been able to keep up with my very erratic and vague schedule lately. Uh right. So that is it. That is the end. So a reminder of this week's affirmation. There is no one else like me. So I will embrace my uniqueness.
I really really do love that one this time. So I hope you do too. Have an absolutely incredible rest of your weekend. I hope you get a chance to enjoy the last few days of halfterm. And yeah, I will speak to you in a couple of days where we get to count everything up. Exciting. Cool. Take care everyone.
Thank you so so much for watching. Bye.
