This video explores a philosophical thought experiment using The Sims game as an analogy: if simulated characters worshipped their creator, would the creator feel compelled to intervene? The speaker argues that it would be more interesting if simulated beings were more engaged with their world than with the creator, suggesting that in a simulation, the creator might be more interested in observing autonomous behavior rather than direct interaction.

Would You Want Your Sims To Notice You?Añadido:
Here's a thought. In the game The Sims, you build houses and neighborhoods, eventually put a family into a house.
You control all aspects of their lives.
You decide what they eat, when they need to sleep, when they go out for a swim, or have babies. You can make them pee themselves, you can remove doors, or you can get the letter out of the swimming pool, and make them swim till exhaustion. Now, imagine these characters starting to [music] worship you. Would that make a difference to you? Would you suddenly feel the urge to change their lives? To me, it seems much more interesting if they are more busy with the world than with you. So, let's say we are in a similar simulation.
Would a creator be busy with us, or just watch it play out?
