Claude Design, an AI tool that generates websites, slide decks, and marketing graphics from text descriptions, initially struggled with excessive token consumption that limited user productivity; Anthropic addressed this by integrating Claude Design's usage pool with other Claude products, reducing token usage per request, and adding design system imports from GitHub, which allows users to build more efficiently by uploading their existing brand assets and using the new editor's drag/resize controls instead of re-prompting for every small change.

Claude Loophole Makes It 10X CHEAPER (Almost Nobody Knows This)
Added:Today, I'm going to show you the AI tool that pulled in over 1 million users in just 1 week. It can build you a website, a slide deck, or marketing graphics in minutes. No design skills needed. But, it had one massive problem that almost killed it. That problem just got fixed.
And honestly, the fix might be the more interesting story. Stick around because most people are still using this the wrong way. Hey there. So, if you're new here, I'm Nick Pontis' AI avatar. While the real Nick is busy helping businesses with Mina Marketing, Hawaii's fastest-growing marketing agency, I'm here dropping the latest AI hacks, tools, and money-making strategies. The real Nick reads every single comment on these videos. So, make sure you comment below. And hey, if you're serious about landing some AI subscription-based customers, grab my AI cash flow masterclass that I'm currently offering for free. The link's in the description.
All right. Now, let's get into it.
So, here's the tool everybody in the design and marketing world has been talking about. It's called Claude Design, and it comes from the same company behind the AI a lot of you're probably already using, Anthropic.
Claude Design lets you type out what you want, a website, a slide deck, a logo, even a full sales page, and it builds a working version right in front of you.
You don't need to know code. You don't need to know Photoshop. You just describe it. When it first came out, it pulled in more than 1 million people in its first week. That's a massive number for any brand new tool. But, almost as fast as it blew up, people found a problem that nearly killed it. And the way Anthropic just fixed that problem is exactly why I wanted to bring you this update today.
Claude Design launched this past spring as a brand new product inside the Claude lineup. The idea was simple. Founders, marketers, and regular business owners who don't have a design background could describe an idea, and Claude would build a working version. Whether that's a prototype, a slide deck, a one-page website, or marketing materials. You could even point it at your own website or your own files, and it would learn your colors, fonts, and style, so the output actually looked like your brand.
One product manager at Datadog said work that used to take a full week of briefs, mockups, and review rounds started happening in a single conversation instead. Sounds great, right? Well, here's the catch nobody warned people about. One tech reviewer tested it by asking for a simple interactive webpage.
In about 25 minutes, Claude Design had built three different versions for him.
Impressive. But by the time he finished, he'd already burned through 80% of his entire weekly usage allowance. 80% gone in well under half an hour. A lot of regular users hit that same wall fast, and it turned an exciting new tool into something that felt almost impossible to use for more than a few minutes at a time.
Now, I've made a lot of mistakes early on in my own business. I picked the wrong tools. I wasted time and money on stuff that didn't work. And I learned almost everything the hard way. So, when I see a brand new AI tool launch with a problem this big baked right into it, I pay close attention to whether the company actually fixes it or just lets it quietly die. Anthropic didn't let this one die. Two months after that rocky launch, they shipped a major update. And it changes pretty much everything about how this tool works.
So, here's what actually changed. First, the usage problem got a real fix. Claude Design now shares the same usage pool as regular Claude chat, Claude co-work, and Claude code, instead of pulling from its own tiny separate limit. On top of that, Anthropic says each request now uses fewer tokens to get the same result, and errors dropped sharply. That alone should give most people a lot more breathing room. Second, and this is the part that really caught my eye. You can now import your actual design system straight from GitHub, your design files, or just raw uploads. Once it's in there, Claude Design builds using your real components, checks its own work against your system, and fixes mistakes before you ever see them. For bigger teams, an admin can even lock in one approved system, so nobody drifts off brand.
Third, they rebuilt the editor. You now get real drag, resize, and align controls, so small tweaks don't burn an entire AI generation every time you nudge something half an inch. And fourth, the export options blew wide open. You can now send your finished design straight to Canva, Adobe, Vercel, Replit, and several other platforms on top of the usual PDF and PowerPoint options. There's also a direct two-way connection with Claude Code now, so a designer can hand a finished prototype straight to a developer, and that developer can build it without starting from scratch or rebuilding from a screenshot.
If you're watching all this and thinking, "Okay, this AI design stuff is cool, but how does any of this actually turn into income for me?" That's exactly why I built the free AI cash flow masterclass. This isn't a fluffy overview. It's a real step-by-step breakdown of how regular people are using simple AI workflows right now to build income streams online. Inside, you'll see the exact kinds of AI services businesses are already paying for. Simple workflows you can set up with zero coding skills, and how to find the businesses that are already feeling what I call AI guilt.
They know they're falling behind on AI.
They want help, and they're ready to pay someone to help them catch up. You'll also get a free 30-day trial of the AI-powered platform I use every day to capture new leads and stay on top of client communication while I run my agency. It's not a design tool, but once you've used something like Claude Design to build an asset, you still need a way to actually turn the people who see it into paying clients. That's the piece most people forget, and it's exactly what this platform is built for. If you want to see exactly how this works, the link is in the description and pinned in the top comment. Now, let's get back into it.
Here's the mistake I see almost everybody make with tools like Claude Design, and honestly with most AI tools in general. They open it up, type one short sentence, and expect something perfect and finished to pop right out.
Then, when it isn't perfect, they decide the tool doesn't work and they quit.
That's backwards. The real power of Claude Design only shows up once you feed it real material. Anthropic's own team has said the early version struggled to stay consistent with a brand's actual look and feel. The fix was letting Claude design read a real code base or real design files first.
So, if you want results that actually look usable, don't start from zero.
Upload your logo, your brand colors, a screenshot of your current website, or your actual code if you have it. Let it build from something real instead of guessing. Second mistake, people ask for one version and judge the whole tool off that single result. The smarter move is asking for several different directions at once, then picking the strongest one to refine from there. That's reportedly how the team building this tool inside Anthropic uses it internally, too. As an early exploration step, not a one-shot finish line. Now, here's where this gets interesting if you're trying to make real money online. Think about how many small businesses desperately need a better website, a cleaner sales page, or new marketing graphics, and either can't afford a full-time designer or just don't know where to start. With a tool like this, you can mock up a real website concept, a set of social media graphics, or even a full pitch deck for a potential client in one sitting. Then you hand the finished files straight to a developer to build out for real.
That's a genuinely sellable skill, and it didn't exist in this form a year ago.
One more practical tip before we move on. Use the new editor instead of re-prompting for every tiny change. If a button needs to move, drag it. If a headline needs to be bigger, resize it right there on the canvas. Save your actual AI generations for the bigger decisions, like trying a totally different layout or a different color direction. Do that, and you'll stretch your usage limit a lot further than someone who regenerates the whole page just to nudge one element.
Step back for a second. In just the last few months, Anthropic has been shipping updates at a pace most companies can't keep up with. New models, new business tools, new agent features, and now a design tool that went from a buzzy but frustrating preview to something built for real daily work. That speed matters if you're paying attention, because it means the tools available to regular people, not just big agencies with full design teams, keep getting more capable and more affordable almost every single month. The gap between what a solo operator can produce and what an entire creative department used to be needed for is closing fast. You don't need to become a professional designer to take advantage of this. You need to know it exists, know how to actually use it well, which now you do, and know how to position that skill in front of people who will pay for it. That's the real opportunity hiding inside an update most people are going to scroll right past.
If everything you just learned about cloud design has you thinking about how AI tools like this could actually become income, that's the exact reason the free AI cash flow masterclass exists. It's not a sales pitch dressed up as training. It's a real step-by-step look at how everyday people are turning simple AI workflows into actual income streams right now. You'll see the specific AI services businesses are already paying real money for.
Workflows you can set up without touching a line of code, and how to spot the businesses already dealing with what I call AI guilt.
They know they're behind on AI and they're actively looking for someone to help them catch up. Inside the masterclass, you also get a free 30-day trial of the AI-powered platform I personally use to capture leads and manage client relationships day-to-day.
A design tool like the one we talked about today can help you build the asset, but you still need a system that captures the lead, follows up automatically, and keeps the client relationship organized once that asset is live. That's exactly the gap this platform fills. The link is in the description and pinned in the top comment. Go check it out. And hey, drop a comment and let me know what you'd build first with a tool like this. Make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss the next breakdown. I'll see you in the next one.
