Ostriv - Episode 8 - The Clothing Area is finally done as we ramp up taxes a bitAdded:
Hello everyone and welcome back to the next episode in our transportation series. Not that everything is perfect with transportation. I already didn't do a few little things that I think I should have done differently next time, like build these stoages next to the Smitties. We've built them over here now, which is okay. I mean, it's still fine, but yeah, we could have done that differently. But there's always something to learn in this wonderful game. At least now we're getting back into some more buildings. And right now we are building these single cart parkings right out here. And as soon as they're all done, we will actually hook these up to their uh respected um markets so that those can do an efficient job, which I think is good. So let's hook this one up and they'll probably able to finish the next one straight away. This one we'll still have to get the the parts for. So that's going to take a bit longer. But yeah, here's another one. We can build another cart. And after this and the transportation for this granary, we're going to build these last two houses.
That will take care of all of the housing in the queue. And that might be our cue to start building a new neighborhood soon, I guess. Um, I'm also really hoping that we can get into the whole stone area and that we get some extra stones and then build this salt works. Not sure yet if we're going to import it or find a different way. I don't think we have imported it yet.
See, there's no stones in here. And I think there's nothing on the way. So, we might have to just import it or build a little stone cutting camp. H, stone mining camp. And then they can mine the stone for us somewhere. Oh, we get a messenger in the right one from their cut sheet. Ooh, let's sell 10,000 charcoal, make 500 coins. We could also sell a few shoes. I'm actually going to sell our first batch of shoes, too. I do believe we could use some leather. Let's just buy a,000 leather for iron for now, so that we get a bit more of that. And let's also buy another batch of leather because that will just get us double the amount of shoes again. 2,000 that we can then sell off again. So, and in the end, we are now spending 360.
We are making over 660 money. So, that should be all all right. Um, although I've been getting some comments about concerns about my money. And one of the reason my money is so low is we have 142 people and I've set the wealth thresh tax threshold to 60. So, I'm going to well, not put it at 50. 60. I'm going to put it at 50 now, which should mean that we should see an increase in the amount of wealth tax that we're going to get.
Because if we take a look at the wealth overlay, you can see a lot of my households actually already ran up to 60, which means that most of the cash in my map is not uh in my pockets, but it's at the people's houses, which is okay.
It's fine. They can have it. But I do want some spending money for the trading. So, getting a bit of it back will be a good deal. So, let's do that.
Now, slowly, we should see an increase again in the demand for charcoal. So, we might do another run soon. It's already up to 139 again. So you can see that 167. So that number will go up. That'll be nice.
So that will be one of the things to do.
Now there's a lot of work to be done here. So let's focus on it. Here we go.
And make sure that we uh ask for the cards. Now I also got a message that in this marketplace I forgot about the firewood. And you're all absolutely right. We didn't put in firewood here.
So, I'm going to put this in. Get firewood in there. Get a lady in there.
And now, this should be supplied with firewood. And that should be okay. Uh, one of the things we haven't built here yet is a little storage which can actually store firewood for this market.
So, that could be something that we could try to integrate in this area as well. I'm not sure yet how, but you I always find out those things on the go.
So, I'm not really uh busy with, oh, we're going to do this, we're going to do that. I'll just find out on the go.
and we'll get it done. Um, that's also questions I get sometimes like how far ahead do you plan? I don't really plan that far ahead. I mean, all that I have planned is basically in here and all the rest is just up for whenever it comes to it and we'll just make a plan then.
Let's keep our eyes on the school. Also got a question to see whenever the school fills up. Well, we now have eight out of the 10 kids in. So, we're slowly getting the school filled up, but yeah, we could use a few more kids. Um, but at least we're getting education going, which is good for having all the educated people that we need at some point. The gazbo is now being built.
After that, they're going to go to the next house. They already delivered some goods, which is perfect. That'll be a good deal. And the gazebo is always good so that the people can sit around and do their things.
We can see this one has a cart already.
This one also got his cart ready. So, it's only four carts that they have to build. Nothing bad there.
Um, and if we take a look now, we can see that the wealth tax is last year we got 483 in total. We are now only two months in. We already got up to 123. So this number will go up quite big.
Messenger from the cut is here for only 10 more days. And it already ran up to another 400 which would give us another 23 coins. So it's not that bad. Demand is slowly picking up at the town of Darchi. I like it.
might mean that we have to include extra workers in our trading post at some point so that they can deal with all the stuff that comes in and goes out. But for now, it should be okay.
And of course, keep all your comments coming. I love it so much that you're all so engaged in the series that you're all responding so much. And uh I I'm already going to say I cannot comply with all the wishes. Some wishes are just like I have a different play style than you have and I'm not going to do that. But a lot of stuff I'll try to put in. So, please keep them coming. I really appreciate it a lot. And it is so much more fun if people are engaged in this. So, that's nice. All right.
They're going to build the next house.
All resources are on the way. We can see that the cows are now in the pastures again. Soon enough, they will start to uh do the sewing. I'm kind of hoping that we could get to some plows soon.
Well, we have a bull for two. We have a bull one year old. And we have a 10-month-old. So, in 2 months, we could actually get our first plow. Uh, that won't be good for this year, but for the year after it might be good, which means that we have to set up stuff. Uh, let's put labor by hands off now that we can supply for oxen right now. So, let's do that. They're not doing anything at the moment anyways in here. They're just being busy with waiting until they can do farming. So, this will be good. Now, this immediately brings to my attention that we don't have a well built here. So these people cannot get a well quickly and then get some water. They'll have to get the water from right here. You can see this well is almost depleted already. So we are going to have to work on some extra water supply around town.
Now one thing I would love for the game to add at some point is that we could add buildings like right in here.
There's space here. Why can I not build a well in here? That would be so nice if we could do that. Uh but yeah, that's probably not going to get into the game anytime soon. Uh what we could do is build it right here, but then it will stick out for the entrance of the garage here. So n so sure. Um it's always a bit tricky like where are you going to put it? We do have this one, but it's slightly too far. But if I place it right here, it will still be quite far for them. So it's actually going to be a tough choice where to put the well. So right now for this farm, I'm just going to put it right here.
Um, actually, let's put it on this side so that it won't interfere too much with the ongoing road and then they can quickly get water there. So, I think that'll be good.
And then we have to might we may have to incorporate a few extra wells in town.

It will just go away after a while without the goods and then you also don't get the money. So, that is something to keep in mind. I'm checking if I can see another cart. Yep, here comes another cart from their Kchi.
Let's keep our eyes on it. And then you'll see that as soon as it gets in here, as soon as it starts to loads the goods, we should be getting the money in.

A lot of people always think it'll be horses, but I think it's oxen. At least it should be. There it comes. Straight into the area here. Now, let's check the money. 583 because the guy is picking up stuff. So, as soon as he's picking it up, you get the money in and then it gets placed into the cart and there off he goes. So, yeah, we already made some money. Again, if we take a look again at the wealth checks, we're almost halfway into what we made last year and um we're still not even halfway into the year.
So, yeah, we are really slowly starting to get the money from the villages in our own pockets and that way we will not run out of money. I'm known for not taking out loans, so I want to keep that going as long as we can. Another family coming in. Oo, nice family or people. Of course, sometimes you can get lucky by getting nice big family. Sometimes you're unlucky. You only get like a man and a lady. It is what it is. It's all good. I don't really complain about it, but it's um especially in the beginning of the game, like you build your first house, you're hoping for a family of six with four workers, but sometimes you get unlucky. You get only two. This is a game for the long run. And you shouldn't play this for the short run. So, I guess it should be okay. How much more stone do we need here? Actually, 2700. We're bringing in 1,200 stone.
So, yeah, this is not going to be built anytime soon. So, let's move it over a bit more.
We need to give it some time. Uh, and I want to get these wells done first so that we really work on getting enough wells around town for all the people. Um, and now I'm thinking like where should we go for our next bit of housing? Right now we have houses on this side. We have industry in the middle. Then we'll build some houses around this. And then I guess well we don't know what's going to happen there.
Um, I also want to make sure that we get some fishing going at some point.
Normally I build this full, but I'm thinking we could actually make like a big city park out of this area. So this is basically it's not the center of the map. That's this slab. But maybe if we use this slab and this slab for like a big park, we just build bridges towards it and people can then walk around as in it as a park. I think that could actually be fun. Um, so we'll have to start working on a few bridges at some point. But then like we can keep this line up for the industries and then we can build some more houses out here. The only thing is I don't really have a lot of room here then to make like nice shaped houses. So, um, it's very easy to go for the grit build.
Kind of don't want to do that, but it's also a little bit harder to make sure that we get off the grid build. So, we'll have to see how we can fix that.
Okay, we got a new house. Doesn't look like any new families coming in straight or any married family. So, we should get a new family now. Now, we're going to build the platform. Then, we'll get the well up.
Our money is now up to 638.
So, they must have been getting another batch of charcoal out. And the stones is already in. So, we already paid for the stone. So, I'm quite happy with that.
And we should be getting the stones in here as soon as we tell them to. We do need another batch of at least 1500400 stones.
We'll have to take our time with it. And we also did not decorate these two houses yet. Let's start with that. Uh let's get some ash trees in.
Uh, I want to do a different tree in the back there.
Um, yeah, we can do a big maple tree.
And let's get some bushes.
Maybe we should put a bench here and there in the gardens as well, just for people, you know, to sit down and have a good time.
Um maybe we can do um multiple even in some house areas like people can really sit here and have a nice time and talk. Um doesn't really matter of course where you place the benches as long as I think they're close to the houses. I think that's the uh the best option you get. just build it somewhat close to housing and people should be pretty happy with it and they can sit on it and enjoy themselves.
It does make a difference though, you know, just decorating up areas and houses and all. So, that is really something that I think you should do.
How much and how how dense and all that's all up to you.
Yep. New family came in. Family of four and they can all work, I think. So, that's nice. So, we build another single cart parking right here. This one is hooked up to a specific charcoal pile. So, let's do that then.

And now I think they're going to build another well.
Oh, it's actually the stone well. So, we used a bit of stone for that one. It's okay though. I mean, now all the wells here are done, which is probably bonus.
Um, but yeah, now they're going to build these carts yet. Might check the cart, right? Nothing ordered. So, they're really fast in getting all the stuff in.
Uh, I just think we are a little bit low on metal parts probably. No, 196. Oh, that's so good. We have plenty of those then.

That's good. We can see we actually run a positive balance which is also due of course to the exports. Got some good exports going. We also imported quite a bit 500. So we only made like 120. Oh, now it changed a bit. So we're still selling stuff. Um but yeah, it's pretty good. It's pretty good. We made some good money there. Now the single car parking is ready. uh with some more garden houses, just small garden houses, not big gardens, but small ones. Um I do want to see if I can get the um street to look a bit different than usual, but I'm not sure uh how we can achieve that.

750. Okay, that's good. Probably going to need more threats to actually get more shoes out. Um, and the question, yeah, see, I have a storage here that actually accepts the shoes. So, these shoes should be taken out at some point.
There's only 50 in there. So, that is already been done regularly. Uh, let's get carts in here. We cannot hook it up yet because we don't have the salt works ready. Uh, but that's okay. Actually, we don't really need that right now. We are building the weaver now, though.
And I do believe that uh this one should be attached to the weaver once it's ready. Can I already do that? So, no, you can only do that when the building is ready.
Well, you know, it's fine. We can just wait. Um, all the resources are there.
So, they should now come in and finish it. Then we can hook it up. Then here we get another tailor. And we get the shoe maker. Then all of the industries here are ready. I think that's good. I think that should be a good way to go. This one is hooked up to the storage. That's very true.
Uh, that's where some of the raw materials go in. This is where some of the end product goes in. We might just do the same here. Put raw materials in and the end product in.
Haven't decided yet. At least we're not going to put workers in because we simply don't need workers in there right now. We don't have any of the resources needed for it. Shoes are put in here or salt somewhere. Okay. Well, we were busy here. So, let me finish this now.

At least the town will look a little bit different because we place the houses in a different way. So, uh, I guess that's already something. Those are little things that you can do to kind of change up your town a little bit, at least the looks of it and make sure that you get some some more interesting uh things going there. Um, another thing could be that we could set up a well here, but yeah, lowquality water is a thing. You have to get high enough above the water to get some good quality water. Uh, but this could actually work out. And what we could try, since we have the salt works here, we could maybe go for a little bridge out here. Uh, which will be a bit weird because the entrance is right there. So, the bridge might just have to go somewhere here.
But yeah, we can build a bridge out here that can bridge this gap. Then we can make a little area here for the wells.
That could be a thing. On the other hand, this is going to be the road. So, if we extend this all the way over here and we build the bridge right here, it might actually be kind of incorporated with the road area a bit better. So, this could also be one. It's going to take a lot of wood and nails, but we would have our first bridge. Uh, but I kind of feel like it should be a little bit more this way. Can just make the road go into a little curve there. So, yeah, we'll do it like this. This should be the road now. And then we're just going to get a little bit of fencing off here.
Um, let's see. Cuz here we already have a fence. So if we go like this, then we leave a little opening and then we go like this somewhat like this. And then we go back here just to uh also arrange the roads a little bit.

Why wouldn't we like that? Then I'm going to build two wells in here so that people will have plenty of uh options to go to a well.
And I think that will actually be good for the town because this will increase the water supply for this whole area.
And then we can also create like a little sitting area here along the water side so people can sit and have fun and watch the water and all. And then we can just decorate this up. Place is occupied.
Yeah, there should be a little opening there. Yeah. Uh I'll just have to move this one slightly back so that we can put a tree back there.

Um, yeah, let's go with the birch trees out here. We'll plant one at the entrance, too, so that people really get into this area. And then should just be a little bit of a feel of a park. So, trees should be and two big ash trees just for the extra shade.
And then we can include some bushes again. That will really hopefully uh make this area look a bit more fun.
And now this way you really get the feel of a park, I think. Let's put some bushes around this big tree. There we go. And now we actually have created a park where people can just sit and watch the water and have a good time. There will be a first bridge. I do want these built relatively fast though. And they cannot finish this because they're bringing in the stone now. But we should almost be out of stone again. And then they cannot finish this build. So, I'm kind of want to have them deliver all the stones, which they did. And they're just delivering some of the other goods. And I guess now we can just tell them, you know, it is fine this way. You can stop.
Uh we don't need this anymore. Uh at least not right now because they cannot bring in all the goods. But they are already bringing quite some clay. So, let's just hold off a second. See if they can bring in all of this. And then see, there comes clay. Because I think if I remove this, they might just go back and dump the clay and not bring it in. And then soon enough, we can continue there.
We also don't really need the cart We don't need this warehouse yet. We don't need this single cart parking yet.
We don't need the cow yet. So, let's get these out of the way so that we can actually go to some housing as well. And then we can see if we can get some extra people in. We have 145 now.
So, um, that's going to be good.
But yeah, a few more won't hurt, especially not for the farmworks.
They did stock up fully for the animals, so we could get the first plow going.
Let's see. Yep, we can. Let's give them demand for a plow. Then it will say you need two oxen. Well, we get one. We get two. Now, this bull can still do reproduction for us. That's why I'm always keeping one for reproduction purposes. Um, so this is good. And look, there's a lot more on the way. So, in half a year, we'll have stuff for at least one more plow, maybe even two, which will be very nice. And these can now just stock up and and get give the plow whatever it needs. We also do have some nice hemp seeds, which I think we can turn into hemp oil and then sell.
So, an oil maker could be something too to get.
But hey, there's always so much to get in this game and so little time. I mean, I'm only running at speed two. I don't want to go any faster. I don't like that. I I like the relaxing pace of the game and I want to keep it relaxed.
That's why I'm doing it this way. Let's take a look at the um oil workshop. How big is it and where could we place it?
Because I think yep, it will fit in this area. Although it will be quite close to the water, but I think this will actually be working out if we do this.
Although, I think we should probably rotate it.
So, what we might do, yeah, I'm not a big fan of this because it's just it's slightly too big now. We can't build a nice area around it and we cannot continue this road to go around it. And if I go all the way here, well, this could actually work because it has its own fencing already.
So, what we could do is place it out here on the road and then we continue the road section out there. But now we have we I don't know where to place. Yeah, we could place the storage right here. We also need carts and all to supply this. And I don't really have the room for it. So, we cannot put it in this corner. Might just be that we turn this into a little park at some point, too. And that we have to get the oil workshop somewhere else.
And another thing people have already been requesting is to move my um forestry, which we're going to do. You can see they ran out of logs. That's due to two reasons. Because they have to do a long walk. That's one. The other one is that we have been planting quite a few trees and all and that's we did this whole area. So, they'll be busy with planting trees which is an even longer walk. So, it won't hurt to get an extra forester anyways. And another good thing will be to get this one closer to the trees so they don't have to walk so far.
So, what I'm actually going to do is I'm going to plan out two foresters at the moment. We'll plan one right here to get rid of all these trees out here and supply us with the wood. I also kind of want to get one in this area so that we can get rid of these trees and, you know, extend our farming operation out here. And then uh once the first is ready, I'll probably uh fill it up with some people. So, let's get this one over there. Once this one is ready, we'll put in like half of the people and they can start to work here. Then, we will build the second one and we can then remove this one and and get those people in that one. I think that should be the order of business right now.
We're now going to work on the houses and getting the extra people in, which will already be a good thing. We have a message from Mera. Unfortunately, that doesn't sell us any stones. We can see that they bought a bit of the warm clothing that we got them. So, it'll be um good that we still have some, but we don't have to buy it right now. We do see that wealth tax. We're now halfway into the year. We already made more wealth tax than last year. So, that's going well. Our balance is positive.
even though our um exports are only 70 bigger than our imports. So, um we're doing good at the moment. And we'll see how we can keep this up and if this keeps working this way.
Just one thing at a time. And I always like the contrast. Now, you see the the full garden houses which actually have like fully live gardens, but also these are coming to life with the flowers in front of the houses, with the bushes and trees that we have in them. I really like to um to get those things in. Now, I would love to get like assets where we can place these flowers ourselves and all in the gardens. That would be so lovely. I mean, they are already in the game. Just give us the option to know or a paint tool to paint like bit bits of flowers and all, but we'll have to see.
We don't know yet. But I do like it. And it just brings your town more to life.
And like there's already so many things I want to get. I want to get into the construction shed so we can get extra workers. I want to get the mining camp so that we can start to mine the our own stone and get it a bit. I don't even know if there's stone on this map actually. There's limestone. Yep, there's also some stone up here so we could get a bit of stone. Um but yeah, you know, you you can only do so much and we only have a handful of people at the moment. So, um, if you watch my normal towns up to like episode 8 or 9, we probably already have over 2 250 people because it goes way faster when we don't have to plan all of this. We can already see this family is not getting all the food in. What do we have supply here? We have honey, we have peas, so they can get the food. They're just busy working. And now, as soon as they're home, they should start to buy some goods. Um, and we also have buckwheat and potatoes here for sale.
So, they can buy whatever they need.
There is plenty. They just didn't have the time yet because they work pretty far away from their house. Um, it's okay, though.
It's um you don't need to worry about every pop-up you get. Uh they will fix that soon enough. This one is taking a rest. See, she's going home and then she's taking a rest. Now, this person is going to buy some stuff. You can see they're going to buy buckwheat, peas, potatoes, milk, and then they have everything and they will be well supplied. So, this is good. It's not that everything wasn't in the market.
So, I always like to check it when I get these pop-ups, see if there is an actual issue or that they just had to do a bit of walking and it takes some time and then everything will be fixed. And in this case, everything will just be fixed. So, it's fine.
Okay, here comes the next house. Let's see how that rolls.
Should be uh not too uh much work anymore. And then after that, we get another house.

So, yeah, we're not going to sell potatoes.
But that could be a thing at some point to sell. We do have a thousand shoes now. So that worked. And they're probably still making shoes as soon as we get threats in. We have leather still. So um not in store, but they have 700 in here. So we can make even more shoes. You already have 500 in the export stock. So as soon as a trader from their kachi comes in again, we can make another good deal. Now this is one year old now, which is good because hopefully next year we might get lucky.
I don't think so though. I think these will mature too late. So, it won't bear fruit in the next year, but the year after we're going to get our first fruits, and that will be very nice. Also means that we're going to have to set up stoages here in Overtown to get it all in. Luckily, it will fit in these graneries, but I usually set up a dedicated granary for all the dried fruits as well, so that um you can store them all and they will be emptied out of that orchard. And we're going to get more orchard anyway, so that should be interesting.
actually might be a good time to get another orchard set up. Uh so that when we have the ladies present, they could actually start to uh really set it up and make sure that we get all the um trees growing because this one is again going to take 2 years to fully mature and grow.

So, we might just speed this one up a bit. I'm always speeding stuff up and then in the end, you know, still nothing gets built.
We do have this area kind of up and running now. And I kind of like it. Uh, this one is hooked up there. This one isn't hooked up. So, we should hook this one up here. And now they all have a hooked up uh building to them. So all of these buildings have their own cart ships and I think that they will suit our village well. We can still get clothing. We just need a ton of threats which these should be making. So hopefully they will as soon as we bring in another harvest. They're busy with the harvest or at least they should be soon. Yep. Ripening. Ripening. So then we get one hemp field in. Two hemp fields in. So that's good. Um, that will also mean Oh, it's interesting cuz this hemp field is still growing.
This one is already ripening. Okay.
Never really saw that change. See, this one is already quite far into ripening.
So, as long as they sew it in in time, it will just fully mature and fully grow and then hopefully give a nice yield. I like it. Right. The first workers are coming in to help with the harvest.
We'll let them do that. We will also see see hay output's going down a bit because the workers do have to get in and they do have to work on all of this and they're all using the same road. So you will see the output go down here and there especially here for this big of a piece of road. It did go down a bit. All the others should still be good though.
And look at this. We have so much hay right now.
Uh can we see? Yeah. 28,000 hay. Well, we should be good for a while. We now have two one-year-old bulls and one that's 10 months. So in two months we can build another plow and that will be good if we really start to um sew in for the next year that then the plows will be really handy. We can get the full yield and restoration of of fertility and all with the plow. So that'll be nice. Here comes the stuff for another house.
Um, all right. We got 400 extra stones, 437.
So, we still need over 1,200 then. So, it might be worth getting the um mining camp at some point. But you can also see right now we're doing okay with the money. It's nothing too bad. We made some extra on the wealth tax, although I think right now most people won't even have See, they're all under 50 now. So, they will pay their regular bit of taxes, but not as much as they did a while ago when they had more than 50.
Uh, but it's okay.
And, you know, we have plenty of money, so we don't have to worry about it. New family settling in town. Ooh, nice with kids. I like it.
And moneywise, we're okay. I mean, if the trader from the kachi comes in again and we can do another very good deal, then we will be swimming in the money, I guess.
Now, of course, there's different ways.
There's a lot of people that play and really play to, you know, get rich in the game and and accumulate a lot of wealth, which is perfectly fine. Uh, for me, I don't really care about that because it's just money that I use to make sure that we um can buy and sell whatever we need. I don't need a lot of money. You're not going to we don't have to afford an army with it or whatever.
It's just peaceful city building, so I don't really need any big money.
But I can get the idea that people want to get it, so it's fine. It's just uh I don't know why I would get it.
I like this area. We need to finish it, but it's it's quite nice.
We can build some good houses there. 158 people right now. So, we're getting more and more in.
These got married, so that's good.
They'll at some point start producing offspring for later, and that's good for the long run.
Every migrant family that comes in gives you immediate people, but um those that get kids will give you nice people to use in 16 years.
Right. All the resources are in. They already collected a bit for this.
That's really where this one is helping out. It's really collecting stuff for uh the construction. I'm going to lower this a bit because you might see that more stuff will get done then. Uh because right now, for instance, if they only pick up 57 nails, they might not do that because they might not be um filling up the card enough. So that could be part of why they're sometimes not picking stuff up.

They're even picking up stuff for the next house again. So step by step, our village grows and at some point we'll probably hit 200 people. Won't be this episode, but we will hit it at some point.
It is really time to move the forester though. Although you can already see again all work is done. Nothing to do.
So even with this not in the most ideal place, it will still get the work done.
So you don't have to worry about moving your forestry over and over again because oh no, the trees are a bit further out. Just relax. I'm going to get two now, which will supply me for a very long time, even if I start planting trees. So, just don't rush things too quickly and don't move things too fast if you don't have a specific need for it.
All right, another 5,500. That will make us 275. Deal. Another batch of shoes.
Let's sell another 500 shoes for another 160.
Do we need some more iron? Well, I think we can do with 500 now. That will only cost us 60. So, we'll still make 375 in money, which is good. Um, at some point, we might even sell these some apples if we really want to. So, um, yeah, I'm pretty happy with this. Pretty happy with this new family settling in town. Another nice f family.
They'll be up here to work a lot. That's good.
School is filled up. So, we now have plenty of kits for the school and we hopefully get a lot of smart kits now.
Oh, that's pretty nice. Well, food's being distributed here properly. Um, and see, they have filled up stoages, so that's good. It's not that long of a walk here, so they can do some quick supply.
Guess one of the next episodes we're also going to work on a dairy because we're going to need to set up the dairy area, which could be right here.
Uh but we just make sure that we um we we process the milk into cheese and then get it set up. And then we need a dairy, we need a storage, we need carts and all. So that's going to be a little bit. And I also want to get the um oil works up for the hemp seeds.
Just still thinking about where to place the oil works. Uh could place it relatively close to the farm because it is one of those buildings that uses these items. So, we can just maybe set it up somewhere here, but oil works could also just go somewhere in town because I don't think it's one that really pollutes. So, that should not be a concern then. Um, see, it produces oils from sunflower seeds, linseed, and hemp seeds. Oil can be used in food by your citizens. Oils are being produced in batches. Each batch requires at least 25 units of seeds of a certain type. Well, that's it. So, um, could just incorporate it in town somewhere, maybe even close to the market so that it can quickly supply stuff to the market or we incorporate it somewhere here. Kind of want to keep this area along the edge of the map for farmland and all. Um, maybe we can do some houses here because there won't be any farmland here, but kind of want to keep this all for farming and build the town in this area. Um, so getting it set up somewhere here with the oil works might work.
Yeah, we'll see.
Here comes another house. Everything is in. They're just putting the roof up and then they're going to straight work on the next house.
Labor. Labor. Yep, they're all doing labor duties, which is perfectly nice.
We want a lot of laborers around anyways. And another house is done.
Let's take a look at the farm. See, these are able to hire quite a few people. There's also quite a few men in there. So, if we have a few specific man jobs, we can start to fill those out more if we would have to. Like, for instance, if we didn't have all the builders in yet, and now would be a good time to do it because we have plenty of men available to us. We simply don't need more people in these buildings.
See, nothing ordered. So, there's nothing to be done in here. Uh, these are getting everything done, I think.
Uh, although I think these might actually need to get some extra hands in right now because if we take a look at the nails, we have only 281 nails. We already need like 400 for the bridge, so we might get a little bit of extra nail production going. We still have 137 metal parts, which also means that it's pretty stable. And getting some extra for that might also be a good deal. So, let's try that.
Uh, cannot buy stones or anything in here. And I also don't want to uh sell clothing or anything yet. So, not going to do much on this.
But yeah, town is running nicely. Going to build these two houses next and then we get to the forester and the bridge.
