An interference fit is an engineering technique where a component is intentionally manufactured to be larger than the hole it needs to fit into, creating a tight connection that eliminates wobble under stress; this is achieved through thermal expansion, where freezing the metal contracts it to allow insertion, and heating causes expansion to lock the components together permanently.

Don't check the sound.. 😭本站添加:
This solid metal is flash frozen to minus 80° just to force it into a hole that's physically too small. In engineering, this is called an interference fit. The pin is intentionally oversized to guarantee zero wobble under extreme stress. But there's a catch. Once the frozen metal starts warming up, it rapidly expands and seizes instantly. Look at this. Two failed attempts hammered completely solid. So when the freezing alone isn't enough, they bring out the fire torch, heating the joint until it glows bright red to expand the hole itself. And the second everything finally lines up, the massive pin slides in flawlessly.
