I think they most of them just use how Africans in the diaspora, Africans that move from Africa to the United States and Europe and all that, their behavior to judge Africans. But listen, I don't want to talk plenty. And also, I have other foreigners sharing their experiences living and visiting Ghana.

So I'm not I'm far from lazy.

And it's just that A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF BROTHERS and sisters have been moved from one continent to the next when WE DID NOT WE DID NOT ASK TO be here. They brought us here. SO MY THING IS DO NOT LOOK AT US AND SAY, "Oh my god." and just downplay us or have a misconception of us cuz like my sister said, we are our BROTHERS AND SISTERS.

And people need to know the real history of black America because at the end of the day, when they when they bring us here, we didn't volunteer to come here. You understand? And so, at the end of the day, I'm going tell you like this. If they [laughter] want to put us back with all black people and separate us, I'm fine with that. I love my black people.

[00:03:37]Good morning people. Yesterday the power was out in the neighborhood but we had a backup generator but after a while the backup generator cut off. So I was sort of outside just sitting on the porch sitting area and I looked up the street and a store the store had a light on and a lot of people were in the store just kept going in the store kept going in the store and I said to myself it must be cool in that store that's why they going in that store so that they could you know get food. So I decide, well, I need something to drink.

[00:04:23]So I'm going to go up there and see really what's going on. So I walk up there to the street to the store and I'm looking at all the people in there and they're just standing around. So as I walk in, you know, I greet them and then I walk down that aisle like I usually do and then I turn around and I look and look back to see what they were doing.

[00:04:44]And I noticed they were all looking in one direction and I'm saying this is illegal. They're all piling up in the store that nobody's buying anything. And the owner's behind the counter letting them do it. So I get what I want and I walk up to the front and the owner said, "You you don't like soccer, do you?" And I really don't know much about soccer, but I noticed that the screen had a soccer match on it. And everybody was in there and the owner was like letting them come in to watch the soccer game.

[00:05:22]They wasn't in there trying to get cool.

[00:05:23]They was in there watching the soccer game and he pretty much let the whole community come in and watch the game and they were clapping and and you know that's that's something that was new to me. No, [clears throat] eventually I I went back home and I kind of waited. The power did come on maybe 15 20 minutes later, but I didn't know how to turn my power on and the guy that was in charge of it wasn't there. I guess he was off watching the soccer match. And did you know a neighbor that goes to everybody's house and talks to him came to mind, turn the power on, and he said, "I'm from Vulta, you know, and cuz I noticed earlier that day he was helping another lady with something." And guys, that was just that was amazing to me. And because of that, I've got to get a lot of my people from Memphis, Tennessee to come here to see how the communities just work together. And in situations where we would see it as a threat, it's all love.

[00:09:33]>> [laughter] >> You know, one thing I notic about Ghanaians is Ghanaians are always down to earth most of the times and they don't like to cheat people. They don't like to do things that they not supposed to do because if you do something to [music] them, something will happen to you. And if that thing happens to you, it would be your fault. So most of times you'll see Ghanaians leaving their doors open, keeping their things. Anyhow, there are several markets in Ghana where people close from shops and leave their goods outside the way it is before they come the next day and meet it like that. Why all this? Why are you people so trusting? But these whole things I just mentioned used to happen before more often, not now. Anyways, but in the BA region, it still happens in some areas. So why is this behavior common and why is it still more active in the BA region? Here is my take. I'm thinking that the BA regions are more spiritual people. If you are a Nigerian, you must have heard of the term to not cheat a Ghanaian. The Ghanaian ancestors are always fighting for them whether you like it or not. For instance, something is 1,000 NRA and you sell it to a Ghanaian for 3,000 NRA and they don't know, they didn't ask you, they paid in one way or the other, the 2,000 NRA you skip off the original price, you will lose it one way or the other. You fall sick medicine or they choke you or something like that.

[00:11:18]Now this thing still happens so much in the voter region because yeah they actually believe in things like this. So nobody really you see churches with speakers instruments and things are still there. The church doesn't have doors. It doesn't have a gate and in the towns nowadays because of foreigners in their country and things and other factors in the market people pack their loads after market. when they come the next day, they put it back. So, I want you guys to really educate us. Is this true?

[00:11:52]Because in Nigeria, nobody really trusts anybody. Even if I know my neighbor will not steal my thing, I will put it in my house till the next day.

[00:12:33]Before I came to Ghana, let me tell you guys, I did not expect to see the level of luxury that I see right here. Don't blame me. Okay. Now the thing is that I think that many outsiders still imaging Ghana in a very limited way but after spending time here I think I have realized that there are places in this country that feels extremely luxurious.

[00:12:58]Some areas in a you know feel like scenes from a movie. You get what I'm saying? Now one of the first things that actually shocked me was the gated communities. The roads are quiet. The roads are quiet. The houses are massive and everything looks organized. Do you understand what I'm saying? Organized to the teeth. Security is tight. And at night, the lighting alone changes the whole atmosphere. You understand what I'm saying? Now, there are some luxury apartments that completely actually changed my perception of modern living right here in Ghana. And talking about beautiful interiors, no rooftop pools, private gyms, elegant reception areas.

[00:13:42]Ah, some buildings feel like fivestar hotels instead of a normal apartment.

[00:13:46]You know what I'm saying? Another place that actually surprised me was some of the restaurants and the lounges in Ara.

[00:13:53]The designs are oh my goodness. The presentation top notch. The ambiencece it is giving. See, you sit there and almost forget where you are because the experience feels international.

[00:14:07]It feels so international. And what about the beach resorts?

[00:14:12]This one actually shocked me. And this is because some resorts in Ghana are so peaceful. They see, oh my goodness, they are so peaceful and beautiful that they make you want to stay there forever if it were possible. wheels. What about the ocean views, the private villas, the soft music? Oh, or is it a palm trees that are swaying left to right with the wheel? See, some of these places actually look like vacation destination that people fly across the world to come and experience.

[00:14:43]Let's talk about the luxury shopping. Oh my.

[00:14:48]There are supermarkets and stores. When you go, you're going to realize that there's a complete, you know, different spending power inside this country. You get it? Imported products everywhere.

[00:15:01]Premium brands, high-end beauty stores, luxury furnitureures, expensive cars that are packed casually outside. And then there is night life. What is Ghana without a beautiful night life? or rather should I say Ara. See Acra at night can feel very glamorous. Some places are actually filled with expensive cars, designer fashion and of course people who are just simply enjoying life comfortably. One of the things that I realized is that luxury in Ghana is not always loud. Luxury is not loud. Luxury is not shouting. Sometimes it hides behind walls inside estates, inside private clubs or even exclusive events. That is why people outside Ghana never fully understand the side of the country. They only see one version online. But do you know that Ghana has many layers, many layers to it that what you see is just the beginning and the luxury side, guess what? It is growing very, very fast. I have a message for the Ghanaian people. Stop saying please too much. Like what? Why? Why? Yes, please. No, please. Yes, please. No.

So basically they grow most of the ingredients on this very same farm and bring it to the table. We have some rich palm nut soup with wild mushrooms and some fresh fish. And here's some ginger and pepper extra on the side. We ended up visiting the beautiful tower, enjoying the views and the peaceful surroundings. What I love about this place is that you get this jungle feel, but when you climb all the way to the top, you can actually see the ocean and the beach.

[00:18:01]>> This show speed guy has given Ghana the greatest PR, which I don't think we can get anywhere else. Like trust me, I mean Ghana, we know say we get the PR out there already. The diaspora people, the jalof and everything. But bro, what this guy has done for Ghana? I mean aside the fact that he has been mentioning his name everywhere he go.

[00:18:22]This guy is so intentional about putting Ghana out there like people have no idea. I mean this guy came to Ghana around January right and we are we are like in the middle of the year and this guy is still putting Ghana on the map.

[00:18:36]So Aisha speed just dropped um a World Cup song which if you ask me bro this song is way better than the one that Shakira did. It's not because of what he did in this music video, but bro, if you ask me, this song, you now you can go and listen, this song is way better than one Shakira and Benn Boy did >> after this one. I'll choose Aqua Boy's own. Same same. But that is beside the point. So this guy dropped a World Cup song, which is almost like more than 1 million views already. This guy dropped a song. And bro, if you look at the video, there's something so intentional about the video that anybody will be creative director or if you have a creative mind, you know that this guy was so intentional. Every single scene in the music video had the Ghana flag.

[00:19:18]It's either he had the Ghana flag or the Ghana jersey. In every scene, >> if you are viewing it from a normal fan perspective, you would think that, oh, it was just random. But anyone who is a creative director will know that what this guy did in the music video is really intentional. This is someone who came from America to Ghana just came here only once per and then this is the kind of love he's showing. I mean right now he's dual citizen America and then Ghanaian. But the kind of love he's showing to Ghana bro there was this last scene where there was the Ghana flag and the American flag. If you look at the way this guy position the Ghana flag in the corner way he make big and the way he position the American flag and the way they light they light the set you know that bro this guy was throwing light on the Ghana flag. You could see the England flag in the corner, American flag very small in the middle and the Ghana flag at the end. For the Brazil flag near, I think he's a big fan of Brazil. So that one there, that one day there and the Portugal, we all know that Ronaldo. But for the Ghana flag, this guy was so intentional like bro, I felt so proud watching this music video. It not shock me if this guy say he support Ghana during the World Cup. I mean, but then be normal. If you say they support Ghana, it not shock me at all. the PR job this guy they do if he were any other person trust me the person would have forgotten that he even came to Ghana but the guy is still dragging the Ghana thing everywhere he go >> honestly I must say kudos to this guy and we are really proud of him >> it's sad that you hear some of these things from our people it is something that we've actually heard a lot of the times that Africans hate Africanameans and African and and Africans too I think they say the same thing that African-Americans do not like us I don't know why we have this mentality and I feel like it is the same divide and conquer thing that is going on and we are not seeing through what is happening. It is just sad. I wish these ladies will travel to a place like Ghana. They will come and have and have an experience how they are being treated in Africa. We love you guys. Nobody hates you. One thing that I I think I've realized is that you know most Africans when they are sending their kids to America to Europe and all that to go and study because they don't want their kids to fall into any trouble they tend to advise them against African-Ameans that is where that problem stems from because in our minds or in the minds of our parents they think African-Ameans are into gangsterism they they basically wield guns and all that and all the time like they live negative lifestyles, you know. So for you as an African not to fall victim to some of these and they also sell drugs, they do all these bad stuff. So for you as an African immigrant to not fall into the trap of some of these because you don't know when probably police raid or something will come and they will arrest them and probably they will arrest you too. Don't associate yourself with them. That's basically it. And that has actually lingered on for a very long time and that mentality. So African-Americans also think we hate them, but we don't.

[00:22:22]Trust me, we don't. It's just that when they are coming, as I said, they just advise them against it's like you as a parent advising your kids not to mingle up with bad people. You understand? But definitely we all know that African-Americans is not everyone who is bad and African-Americans are not bad in general. You understand? But that's the mentality. So we are sorry. We are sorry. This is very very sad. As you saw the African-American man that was sharing his experience when there was light out, he went to a place and they were watching football and all that or soccer. Listen, we are happy people. We don't hate anybody. African-Americans are in Ghana, so many of them, and they are living their lives. Nobody is doing anything to them. Nobody hates them.
