The video cleverly disguises middle-class grievances as social commentary, yet it lacks the structural depth to move beyond mere observational wit. It is a charming but ultimately superficial reflection on the banality of modern institutional shifts.

Polling Day. Uh Oh.Añadido:
You're not allowed to talk politics on polling day. It's a broadcast law. Um and all the broadcasters uphold their ethical standards. So, um we we can't talk politics. I mean, we can because we're not broadcasting sort of under their guidelines, but I I feel like it's good to uphold ethical practice. So, we won't talk politics. Uh instead, I'm going to talk observations. So, I've had to cancel a dental appointment for my kids this morning because Oh, please like, subscribe, and share. Um, because I can't be there. So, the three of us were supposed to go and have our teeth checked, but I've had a bit of a calamity. Good word. Um, and can't be there this afternoon. So, my kids can't go. Now, one's going to be 18 next week and one is 14, but they can't be unshaperowned with the dentist. And I'm sitting there thinking, but not politically. What the [ __ ] So, we've got a responsible adult, a dentist, who can't see miners unaccompanied because they're not 18. But we can employ someone to be the ambassador. You see where I'm going here, can't you? Um, we'll cut out the political bit of that, but we could employ somebody in a very senior position somewhere who's got a very dubious past that we sort of know about even though we don't know about it and we've never heard of their name. And I'm thinking, well, that's a bit double standards, isn't it? And when did we get to the bit where people in a position of authority were deemed unsafe to deal with kids? I used to go to the dentist on my own. Uh, I used to go and get a sticker and a lolly. I mean, brilliant. Your teeth are perfect. Have some sugar. And then when they turned into the sugar-free lollies, nobody wanted them. You'd give them back, wouldn't you? And say, "Can I have another Bugs Bunny sticker?" So, so that that makes me think a lot about how our standards have and are changing. Why?
Yeah, you know where I'm going with that, but it's not political. Uh, and then another observation this morning as I was driving into college. I'm in Welling, so I have to drive through lots of places on my way to Wellra, and it's at school time. Now, I mentioned this last week about how smart the kids looked. If I was going to be political about it, I would talk about how they're trying to be devalued in their appearance and their aspirations and what they want. But I'm not being political because we can't do that today. So, I'm going to observe what I saw. I saw children looking really smart. I saw a lot of skirts that should not have got out of the house that length. I mean, seriously, they were sort of masquerading as a belt, but nonetheless, they they had tights, shiny shoes, short skirts, um, blazers, jumpers, and the uniform bag that is Nike and the shoes that are uniform Doc Martin. And and these are all going to state schools. And I'm thinking, well, they look really good, you know? I mean, pull your skirt down a bit, but honestly speaking, I can remember having my skirt measured and when it was measured, it was exactly at the correct measure. And when it wasn't, I hicked it up a bit.
You did. Come on. We've got to have somewhere where we can push a bit. So, I'm looking at all of these children looking really smart and wondering what it's going to look like when they become just another person in a tracksuit or in I don't know a pair of black trousers with a black jumper with a white just a nothingness. just another a nothingness because their school uniform has been taken away from them and replaced with effectively a supermarket outfit. As in like you look like you're working for the supermarket, which is absolutely brilliant. Go for it. But if you're working for the supermarket, you wear their uniform, don't you?
You see, if I was political, I'd be saying, "What [ __ ] idiot did that?
What idiot wanted to strip children of an identity that they could be proud of?" Well, I rest my case. So, we're not being political. And then another thing I thought of as I was driving to work is this flipping tumbleryer thing. Now, this has really, really irritated me.
So, we not allowed to have condenser tumble dryers anymore. Ed Miller Band is banning them. Now, that's not political because that's a statement of fact. He is he's banning them. So, Am sitting there going, "What's next? The kettle?"
I mean, they use up loads of electricity. Like literally loads. In America, you know, they don't have kettles. They heat their tea up in the microwave. Blows my mind.
So, what is going to be next? Is it going to be the kettle? Is it going to be the iron? I mean, there will be a loud chorus of yay over many households, but I quite like a bit of ironing. I like my stuff to be ironed. So, what is Ed going to ban next? And this is not political. It's a rhetorical question.
Well, it's not a rhetorical question.
It's amusing. What's he going to ban next on our behalf for what? And what difference does he think banning condenser tumble dryers in the UK is going to make to global climate change?
I mean, when you try and answer it and realize that you can't sort of puts things in perspective a little bit, doesn't it? Now, something else that might blow your mind. My son did this.
This is definitely not political last night. So are you have to be sitting to do this. So sit and with your right foot turn your foot clockwise and at the same time draw the letter six.
I'm going to leave you with that.
It's impossible.
