I Had NEVER Heard Against The Current Before... Dead Man Walking Reaction

[00:00:00]All right, so I saw this pop up my feed.

[00:00:01]Thought we have to check it out right now because it's a band I've never heard of. Looks like it's female fronted rock or metal. The band is called Against the Current. They've released a new song which is called Dead Man Walking. We're going to listen to it right now. All right, what are we getting?

[00:03:16]Oh, we're not going to find out what happens to them. Okay, so that was against the current with Dead Man Walking. Never heard the band before. In fact, never come across the band name at all.

[00:03:26]However, they have 2.18 million subscribers, which means they are not small at all and have clearly done very well for themselves, but I don't know anything memorable by them at all. Never heard of the band, but it was really, really good. really simple structure, 3 minutes 20 long. And because the verses didn't have any like extended sections, it did feel like it was over really quickly. It was just kind of in the intro was almost into the verse. And it was chorus, verse, chorus, little bridge thing, clean to the final chorus. And the only thing that was different was at the very end where they kind of doubled up and did this kind of like heavier bit, which almost could have been like the bridge in my opinion, but that's subjective. Like I always like something different in the middle to break it up.

[00:04:05]I feel like that needed a little bit more to like be truly epic for me. But it was really really fun and there's no denying the music sounded incredible.

[00:04:13]Four piece I think by the looks of things. One guitarist, loads of like clean acoustic stuff. Think he had a messaboo and was kind of doing the dual layer guitar thing. Obviously bass player, drummer and singer who, let's face it, clearly can sing and has got an amazing range. So I'm intrigued like what other good stuff is by Against the Current.
