>> I'm Anthony.
>> Anthony, tell us about Whimo.
>> So, we have a Whimo vehicle here. We're proud to sponsor this event. We We want to come to serve New Yorkers. We want to be part of the community. So, part of that means showing up in the timing, right? We're here to celebrate and be part of uh the joy here.
>> You're bringing Whimo to New York.
>> We're working on that. So, right now, >> right now, we have vehicles that are testing around Manhattan as we speak.
We're driving around autonomously and and trying to learn the street around it. How wide is the street? How steep is it? Where are the potholes? And eventually we'll be able to serve riders, but we'll have to work towards that.
>> Tell us about Whimo because again, uh we from the east coast doesn't know a lot about Whimo.
>> So Whimo is an autonomous driving technology company. We're currently operating 11 different cities. So we're we're offering people rides with no drive in the front seat and passengers in the back seat. We've done over 170 million miles. The data shows that we're 13 times safer than than an ordinary driver because of our technology and our software all connected.

>> Way more way more way.
>> Come on, Scott. Have an open mind. And uh where what is there an app, right?
>> Yeah. So, there's an app you can download to access the the the service, but we're not yet active here in New York City yet.
>> Not active here, but download Whimo if you want to go to San Francisco and try the Whimo or Phoenix, Arizona. Andy, thank you so much for that. Looking forward to ride Whimo in New York.
>> Fantastic.
>> Oh, Whimo, I noticed the one on top. Yeah, driverless car. Look at that.
And see, oh god, we are distracted by rainbow. Anyhow, so you have an app. You order the Whimo on the app and um when the Whimo arrives, you have to push something on the app so it would unlock for you. Yay. And then just open the door and get in.
How exciting.
Oh, a Jaguar.
Wow. How fancy, right?

>> They're going to be performing here.

>> They're giving away free food, I think.
>> How many of you know?
>> Yes.
He was the one who took us to the victory line in 1803 and making Haiti the first black republic to be independent. Yes. Dale >> and because of that >> Haiti is the mother of freedom.
>> Mother of freedom.
>> Yes. Haiti has paved the way for so many other countries to gain their freedom.
And when people talk about the United States, >> Oops.
When people talk about the United States, >> United States that their independence went 70 1776, not too far from now. Haiti got their independence, right? That's right. 1804.
And so I just wanted to say thank you for being here today. Thank you for all of our sponsors. Thank you, Life of Perez. Thank you for all of our elected officials. You know, there's lots going on with its Haitian people. They're trying to kick us out. They're trying to take our rights away as citizens, as immigrants, and we're fighting. But exactly. But we're together.
>> We stick together. Together we will honor.
>> Ladies and gentlemen, thank you so much.
Two points.
Okay.
Be shut.
Love you. God bless you. Thank you.
All right. Good morning.
>> How we doing?
>> If you feel good, make some noise this morning.
>> You all look so beautiful. I'm Larry Ste Blackman. I'm on the life of hope team and it's my honor to introduce all of our community leaders. Up next, we have a dynamic leader in the New York State Assembly. He rep He represents the 33rd Assembly District. Please give it up for a seven number card for everybody. Well, that's the extent of my trail. So, my name is Clive, New York City, 337 district. Really excited to be here for for for Haitian uh independence and Haitian flag day. Get yourselves around the board.
First of all, Haiti got it going on.
Both my parents are from Haiti. My mom is say, my pops and my girl mother, right? But really important for us to make sure that we fight for our culture.
We fight and represent to make sure that we know and folks know in this world and in this country that Haitians are here.
Haitians are running the world. That we're running New York City. that we are contributing and that we we have a bright bright future and a bright tomorrow. We all know that we gained our independence over 425 years ago. But we have a brighter future and I'm really excited about our future here in this country and in Haiti. Celebrate today everyone. Happy Haitian Black.
>> Come on y'all. Put your hands together for a similar number in Vanel.
>> All right. Up next, we have a fighter for the entire city that comes from this community that represents this community every single day. He's the greatest public advocate I've seen in my lifetime. And I've seen a few. Put your hands together for Javani Williams.
drop Williams.
That's all I got. Crankhead Barney in the house. Everybody say what's up to crackhead Barney over here.
Peace and blessing. Love and light to all. Where's DJ Black and the Allstars?
They're on my float. I want to give them a shout out. Shout out to Life Perez.
All my colleagues over here. This is my daughter. She is also a Haitian in her blood. Say what's up.
>> And in September, she's going to Wells Mloud. We are real proud of her.
>> So, I'm going to do this citation, but real quick, I just always whenever I can make sure I'm celebrating Haiti, the Haitian culture, the Haitian people.
Thank y'all for being the first black folks to take me to where I was. Thank y'all for doubling the size of America, although we're not doing so great right now. But we have a debt of gratitude to the Haitian community and the Haitian country that we have never paid. And I apologize for that from whatever space I can. But we got a lot of work left to do. And really quick, I got to say something else. Everybody might get a little mad, but when I'm in the Caribbean spaces, my Grenadian places, my Haitian faces, I got to say this. We got some orange madness in the White House going on. And some of that is because too many of us drank the orange Kool-Aid.
>> And we got to be real and honest about that. I know some people get mad at me when I say it, but I'll come back and get y'all before the next election, but we got to be honest about what happened.
That Kool-Aid looked too good to too many of us. And now, as we say in Grenada, licks him with side. That's what we catching. Licks, licks, licks.
So, I'm hoping that we learn the lesson when we get out of this. It never just happens to other people. There are no good immigrants and bad immigrants. We got to link arms together and get through this. I will always make sure that I am clear that whatever I'm talking about, whether it's women's issues, immigrants issues, there is antilackness that exists in all of that.
And I'm going continue to call it out.
But we can't use that to join the hate machine and the hate talk and that orange Kool-Aid. But let's get that Kool-Aid back and let's move forward as we go together. Yes.
>> Okay. Some of y'all going to talk about me when I leave, but it's all right. It got to be said because there's too much foolishness going on and we knew what was going to happen with that.
>> Might be good to know I lost. There's at least five votes I lost. I got to get him back later.
>> I think when he's doing a good job, I think he's doing a decent job right now.
Uh, he's got some tough things. There's some things I got to push him on a little bit, but so far I think he's doing all right. She wants to know if me and mom Donnie was doing a good job. How yall feel about me and mom Donnie right now?
>> That's not bad. That's not bad.
>> That's not bad.
>> I think there's pushing on so far.
>> I'll tell you later. Let me do the citation real quick.
>> The public eye of the city of New York.
