Legends and stories tend to grow larger and more dramatic over time as they are passed down through generations, even when they are not based on truth; this is a universal human tendency where stories evolve beyond their original version, as demonstrated by the Si-Te-Cah legend at Lovelock Cave, which transformed from accounts of a violent group into stories of giants despite archaeological evidence showing only real human conflict.

I Went Looking for Giants... Here's What I FoundAdded:
For over a hundred years, people have been telling stories about this place.
And the deeper I look into this, none of it makes any sense.
Because this isn't just a story.
This place This place is real.
People lived here for thousands of years, long before anything was written down or even put on video.
The story The story comes from the northern Pyute. They described a group called the Sitica.
They were different and they were supposedly violent and they were their enemies.
And over time it grew into something more giants.
And standing in here, I get why people believe that.
But when I went back to the earliest accounts, something was missing.
Giants As excavation began, the story started to change.
Descriptions got bigger, more dramatic, and suddenly giants.
But here's the thing.
Even if the story changed, something still happened here.
There were people here.
There was a conflict and real evidence was found.
But not giants.
So why does a very why does every culture in the world end with giants?
Why?
Because over time, stories don't stay the same.
They grow.
Not because giants were real.
Because once a story starts, it's in human nature to make it bigger than the truth.
And guess what?
Guess what I didn't find?
I didn't find giants.
What I found was what happens when people tell the same story without ever checking where it came from.
And I realized something I didn't expect.
You don't always lose the truth in the story like this. Sometimes you lose the original version of it.
