[00:00:00]Welcome back to Chris Loves Rocks. It's time for another Monday mineral and this week's mineral is wakefieldite-Y.

[00:00:09]It's a vanadate. Chemical formula Y V O 4.

[00:00:15]Crystal system tetragonal.

[00:00:18]Hardness 5, cleavage good, and habit prismatic.

[00:00:23]It's named for Wakefield Lake in Canada.

[00:00:26]But you can't find that on a map anymore because it was renamed Lac Saint-Pierre.

[00:00:32]And it is the yttrium version of the Wakefield group of minerals because uh with all these rare earths, we've decided to uh split them up for some reason.
