This video argues that Seattle is experiencing a fiscal crisis characterized by unsustainable taxes, a 35% commercial vacancy rate, and a half-billion-dollar budget deficit, which the speaker attributes to political incompetence and socialist policies that allegedly drive away the wealthy tax base and undermine public safety, suggesting that cities must prioritize fiscal responsibility and business-friendly policies to avoid economic decline.

Seattle's Fiscal Death Spiral - It takes a Socialist to do it right...Added:
Seattle is entering kind of a fiscal death spiral caused by political incompetence, uh very bad choices that the city and the political establishment have created.
Uh taxes that are going to be unsupportable and unsustainable, of course, moving forward. The inevitable fleeing of the city by the wealthy, mostly liberal people who voted in the clowns in the first place, and then, no surprise, the socialists always do what socialists always do. They can't help themselves. They destroy the communities in which they managed to get political power.
With the 35% commercial vacancy rate in downtown Seattle, with a half a billion-dollar deficit in the current budget projections in downtown, or in Seattle in general, with a completely incompetent Mayor Wilson in charge, and with no effective leadership anywhere to be seen on the horizon, yes, it looks like Seattle's in for tough times, and that inevitably they will not get the tax revenue that they were projecting, and the likelihood is, well, the mayor laughs about it and waves goodbye to all of the tax base, it isn't going to get any better anytime soon. And this is just a situation that we find ourselves.
Listen, it's no fun if you live in Seattle, and if you're experiencing some of the public safety collapse, the homeless industrial complex, and the uh grant grifting operations that you're witnessing all around you.
But, there can be a recognition that it doesn't have to be this way.
You don't have to destroy your own city.
You don't have to prove, once again, for the hundredth or the thousandth time, that socialism will always fail. You can recognize this, and we can put in people who believe math is real and not racist, who believe that business is a benefit, not a uh something to uh enslave people for, but actually uh invite into the community. We can believe that public safety is actually an important part of it, and maybe people shouldn't be allowed to kill themselves on the street using drugs or in a building that you subsidize at the even higher price. Maybe putting criminals in jail is actually better than letting them go out there and hurt and maim more people on the street. Now, these are radical ideas if you, perhaps, are a Seattle politician, but inevitably I suspect these changes are coming and they are inevitable. Uh in the meantime, the only question is how far down that fiscal death spiral Seattle going to drive itself.
