In Spanish, descriptive adjectives must agree in gender and number with the nouns they modify, unlike English where adjectives remain unchanged. Adjectives ending in -O have four forms (masculine singular -o, feminine singular -a, masculine plural -os, feminine plural -as); those ending in -E or consonants have only two forms (singular and plural); and those ending in -OR have four forms (masculine singular -or, feminine singular -ora, masculine plural -ores, feminine plural -oras). Additionally, most Spanish adjectives follow the noun, except adjectives of quantity which precede it, and some adjectives like 'grande' change meaning when placed before the noun.
