This video critiques the modern social media phenomenon of 'vitalism'—a right-wing concept that encourages men to live life with intensity and masculinity, often through aesthetics like James Bond-style appearances and quotes from philosophers like Nietzsche. The speaker argues that this approach has become superficial, reducing profound philosophical concepts to performative content on platforms like TikTok and X, and that it conflates genuine self-improvement with homoeroticism and vicarious living. The video distinguishes between authentic masculinity (which involves personal development and destiny) and the abstract, performative version promoted by influencers, suggesting that true vitalism should focus on living with purpose rather than displaying masculinity for social validation.

Vitalism – A right wing guide to masculinity & homoeroticismAdded:
Just vitalist max, bro. Just live life as if you're going to die tomorrow with your very cool half-naked tanned body and linen shirts and James Bond aesthetic.
Uh etc. etc. is is what we would start to hear now in the guess social media spaces that we occupy in the right-wing place, which is to say there's an appeal here to some masculinity, and particularly around the blend of philosophy as it's captured by in essence Nietzsche and say Clavius, and then what that means for the modern modern man, modern boy, modern young sensitive guy who's maybe enraptured by someone like Bronze Age Pervert. Uh and you can hear this across as I say social media and one of these videos I was watching on vitalism by um some Russian guy, Patrick Staliosoff. Um Warrior Philosopher or something like this on YouTube. What is to say like, "Oh, let's talk about vitalism as if it's some corresponding factor to living from a if we discuss it and philosophize and and analyze it perspective then you can do it. Uh and this is where guys like Solbrah, who's this um himbo, so uh some some sensitive young bodybuilder man and relates more closely to what we would actually consider vitalism, which is just actually just doing things that you like and feel good as as particularly as as masculine as they can be versus sitting in a room with a very over-manicured mustache and long hair talking about vitalist maxing from a philosophical perspective.
Hey, I want you to be vital, too, all right? I just I do feel like there's a lack of self-reflection, maybe. There's an over-analyzation. I think maybe Americans in particular are bad for this um in that you should just live. Uh you're already in the best state in the West as in you are in the Roman Empire during the proceeding heights of Rome's glorious empire, you don't need philosophy. Does nothing for you in that way. I'm not saying don't read Nietzsche and Cleanthes, cuz you definitely should. I'm saying don't overthink these things because you don't need to. Just live the life that you're called to destiny is telling you to do. I'll be here to support you. I'll give you the the mainstays in terms of thoughts and procedures. You don't need this other I'm going to err on the side of caution here and call it a homoerotic notions around how to live life most maximally. Because uh life is not some some version of this where you can social media the highest highs in a consumable way that correlates to a strong feeling of destiny and success. So no, no, no. Look at this guy in his linen shirt off the coast of the Amalfi Coast or wherever in his speedboat and his hot girl and his James Bond aesthetic.
It's not real life. It's just It's just stupid. You're just daydreaming, honestly. And it veers off into vicariousness and cockoldry from the imaginative standpoint. Like you imagine yourself as that rather than doing things like that versus talking about things like that versus And you can see it here with um this absolute total [ __ ] uh Alexander Nitchkin vitalism or something stupid on on X who posts the most inane and asinine supercar cinematic videos and stuff of look at me Nitchkin maxing or something [ __ ] stupid. And so this is where we got to. We got to this point of like we're turning ourselves into a joke, are we? Is this is what thing? Like you can be muscular without bodybuilding. You know they would call it? They call it training.
The Greeks even called it training. They didn't go, "Ooh, let's bodybuild." And it's like, yeah, okay, they had aesthetics. Yeah, they had Hercules. He looks sick. He looks great. No one's sitting there wanking themselves off to the statue though, except these guys.
These guys down here on the the the bottom side of this I drew a little line here, that blue line, I don't know if you see it.
In between my pictures.
But this is to say, like, you you veer off into homoeroticism for what reason?
Cuz you wish it was you?
Once again, we're going into cock-oldery here. Philosophy is a guiding principle.
It's not something we obsess over and and discuss in this like formed debate of how to live life maximally, like you're a guest on a Jordan Peterson TV show.
Crazy [ __ ] Uh so, I I'll I'll read um Friedrich Nietzsche, Beyond Good and Evil, part one, aphorism 13.
Because he's basically the cause of these retards to do what they do.
Physiologists should think carefully about setting up the drive to preserve the self as the cardinal drive in an organic being. Above everything else, something living wants to release its power. Living itself is will to power.
Self-preservation is only one of the indirect and most frequent consequences of that. In short, here is everywhere.
Beware of extraneous teleological principles. The drive for self-preservation is one such principle.
We have Spinoza's inconsistency to thank for it.
For the essential principle of economy must hold. That's what method demands.
And for me, uh I think there's the notion here that Nietzsche somehow spoke into you being a tourist in Italy with your shirt off trying to have sex with models.
How this has been kind of conflated with the idea of an ubermensch to me. I I can see the the the logical path of guys who want those things, particularly young men. You're 18, you're 22, you're 26.
There's an appeal to having very hot women want to have sex with you. There's an appeal to being cool guy.
A lot of people respect your opinion, perhaps. You're online. You have all these things going your way.
Um but it's unnecessary. And none of it would be advocated philosophically. You can excuse it if you want. It's just a bit silly. I think there's elements to this of saying all this Eros, this Dionysus.
There's all of these historical and philosophical concepts that we can attach to the living part, the life, that I can now justify post hoc rationalization of this way of living.
It's just It's just [ __ ] stupid. Like you You're turning what is very meaningful and deep philosophical profound concepts into TikTok garbage.
Brother, why? Why why do this? This one of these chaps on this video here from the Russian guy is talking about having a TikTok channel around this time.
I'm I'm all for propaganda. I like propaganda. It's like the most interesting tool we have in terms of communication.
Me and Hitler like the two propagandist guys, but you have to think like what are you trying to do here? You're misleading men into thinking a lifestyle. You're basically going down the so influencer like Andrew Tate style of like, well, third world think he's cool cuz he smokes and has a lot of white women impregnated.
Why? Like How is this How is your elevation because you start including Nietzschean quotes into your product?
Somehow elevating this?
I'm like, okay. The irony being I include Nietzschean quotes into But at some some degree there has to be a sensibility around like why are you discussing the things that you are? Is it just to justify what you want to do?
And if you don't want to do anything, you just want to talk about philosophy, then why have to inject the real life part of this into that?
There is a clear destiny to this. And and like if you wanted to live your life destiny fulfilled like Goethe does, then your vitalist maxing. Like it's just naturally what's happening to you. You don't have to reflect on it and call it something. It's just called being alive.
Following a destiny. We've done this for 2,000 years. You think your um ancestors were like, oh yeah, I'm better vitalist max today.
No, they got to kill the a mammoth with a hammer.
Do you You see how this kind of conceptual abstraction reductionism just starts to diminish the appeal. You start to look like a fool. This is how what has bronze age pervert has started with these guys. He infected them with some some sort of trying sexually transmitted disease of the brain and the called the information syphilis here around like what's rotting out these guys ability to first understand philosophy, second use philosophy properly in their lives and third not have to make annoying [ __ ] videos on on X and on Tik Tok where it's just stupid.
Um I know that you can see a lot of things here that are categorized I've categorized for you and this is an axis. You can kind of feel like the masculinity to homoeroticism opposite poles where this is personal and I've fat head here is actually blocking out what is called abstract and so the more personalized masculine versus the abstract masculine and then the abstract homoeroticism versus the personalized homoeroticism.
And you have to understand once again homoeroticism is not necessarily being homosexual. Like being a queer man is similar but different and then this distinction. So what we're talking about here is mostly straight guys who are falling into this rabbit hole of vitalist maxing as they like to say because new and funny vernacular is always better to appeal to young people. So you have to update your vocabulary every 7 years with new cool terms otherwise you're left behind. Uh but otherwise yeah you you fall into this trap where it's like oh look at this towel boy and there's uh this pederasty and this this insistence on like all Greeks were humping young boys so that's somehow vitalist and good and it's like a joke.
But like the jokes are funny. This isn't funny. This is just weird.
Why would you want to joke about humping young boys? Like that's what Afghan men do.
And like I'm not saying on Twitter there aren't like dark jokes or abstract jokes can be funny. It's more like your insistence on something like this starts to lose its unique appeal or like humor when you start to like really overkill it, you know, you're beating a dead horse. But anyway, and then like traveling, a man traveling.
If you're on a mission and you travel, yes. If you are traveling, what do you want me to say about that?
It's feminine. It's it's it's a borderline narcissistic and [ __ ] Why do this? I want to go see the world.
Do you?
Do you really though?
You should see yourself before you see the world like you be the man that steps into the world rather than having the world influence you before you find and figure out who you are. Like these two things are are really what once again incompatible with being masculine and having a destiny. Uh particularly personal. Um There's a more things I can touch on here.
Uh I think it's I mean maybe it's interesting. Maybe you like it. Okay, we'll say like okay, the last one here is womanizing. Womanizing is in particular one of those one of those concepts where we have this idea of if you're if you're a man and masculine, you got a lot of testosterone urges and you say like look, better women means hotter and more of them basically available to me sexually on the market.
So a man who's a womanizer for ways and particularly natural ways like he's good looking or he's high status, whatever it is, uh is particularly enticing for us to for us for for maybe young men to to idolize and say like look, this guy is a chad. He's an alpha. He must get all the hot babes.
What does that mean? Uh I I don't like it's not that I don't get it. Uh and womanizing um in specificity can be masculine.
In a generalized concept, it can also be like a masculine endeavor to be the guy that women want to be with. This is the whole appeal behind something like James Bond. He's a cool mission guy and he's not out there to necessarily hit on women. Women are just gravitated towards him.
Once again, the guy trying to be a sleaze bag Lothario with underhanded tactics to score as many women and then brag about it is kind of the opposite of this. He's performatively straight and heterosexual. It's like, I need to have sex with women and then tell people because otherwise it would have like I'm not as cool or my status isn't as high.
You live this um version of homoeroticism where you want to appeal to the men in your life in your in your circle about being good with women. Why would you want to do that?
The appeal of being with a woman is because you want to be with a woman and this is like living an intuitive playgirl style life versus doing the vitalist maxing, let me tell everybody about how many hot women that I seduce.
You see? These things Um my other gripe with this vitalism maxing and this video in particular, maybe it's a Maybe I'm being discourteous, injudicious. Uh the Patrick the Great Dane and golden vitalist and discuss at length on how it used to be, the past was better.
Uh I don't know what to tell you. The the the even even in Nietzsche and like philosophy, like this is just not true.
Like history is just a reflection of lived lives.
Better is always just subjective. The French post-structuralist school believe this.
Say like, oh yeah, but it was better in the ancient Greek days and then it ends up being reduced to basically war and sex in some fashion or some way or another, which is fine. I'm happy to have them as topics and rubrics and discuss them.
It's much more around like when you start thinking of these things just to pigeonhole them or categorizing them have this very unidimensional way around or sex is good when it's something that I consider high ass. Sex is bad when it's low class and for the plebs. So, okay. Sure.
We can be snobbish about these things, that's fine. But, if I started to then discuss what it is you feel about Eros, and why Dionysus, and why having a sex cult in ancient Greek is somehow not lewd and salacious and disgusting. Like, why is that somehow better just because it's ancient Greek?
That's the level basically of discourse here. It's like, "I don't know. It used to be better because the ancient Greeks themselves were better."
Better in which way? Better how?
Like, what's the respect here? It's just a a factor of you liking the aesthetics more of ancient Greek? Like, a Spartan cool guy in his like underwear and his shield?
The British soldier in his red coat for me is more appealing, but I'm not going to sit here and be like, "Oh, he was he was really supportive of a deep and profound philosophical yearning for the the erotic." And say like, "Yeah, he went to cheap prostitutes and banged his way halfway through India and Africa on the you know, lowest of the low chicks." Is there Is there something thing where like I have to start to romanticize and go like, "No, no, I'm going to defend this. I'm going to say like, that's pure barbarian eroticism." And I'm like, I'm like, "Dude, soldiers you met soldiers? They're the same today as they ever were. Just horny guys on tours trying to shag whatever girls there are there, or sometimes men even. Like sailors in the navy were like homoerotic themselves. Like, so all of these things they it start to lose their veneer, their sheen uh in a way that's it's We're romanticizing things that just aren't true.
Can you be philosophically profound on the topics of eroticism, of Dionysus, of cults? Yes, of course. And Spengler does this at length anyway. So, it's hard for me to like go like, "Oh, well, I need to recap this on some video about how a young 22-year-old man should stop vital is maxing after he's graduating college."
Guys I don't know what to tell you. If you want to appeal to women, appeal to women.
It's very easy to know what they're like. There's a bevy of evidence for these things.
You can just do those things without needing to have someone to tell you to do those things in a very abstract and convoluted way.
Um one of the last ones on here, I guess, is uh self-help books. You have a lot of these alpha male camps that get uh posted, and there's always the raw egg nationalist types.
Who go, "Oh, this is so performative male, blah blah blah. How embarrassing.
He should go kill themselves." And then he'll go and post a video of himself being performative alpha male. Um and the irony is obviously lost on him because I don't know. I suppose his version of it is more deep and profound. He's about as pathetic. You need to prove that you're masculine on social media for clicks.
Like I said before, you can train in the gym.
Like you see the golden one. Uh he's a YouTuber guy who trains in the gym and then he like fights and he does his like lifts. He's done some heroic stuff, I grant you. But like in his training videos, he's like, "I'm training."
Not bodybuilding, not doing this like gay, "Oh, look at me and I'm half naked." I don't do stuff like that.
Um But this is how he's trying to tread that balance, right? And that's also why I've got him closer to the to the the middle plane rather than saying after extreme extreme end of masculinity here. So, when it starts to become performative like that, you've obviously taken away from the natural element to it, which is already further away from vitalist in its actual form than it is as a simulated form, this hyperreality of masculinity. And that abstraction is always going to get you closer and closer to both homoeroticism uh and then further away from you, the personal. The idea for you in the video here is to be the masculine version of you.
You want to read about how that's appropriate, then you can take to the abstract version of the masculine. You can read this in Vayner, you can read this in Klages, you can read this in Nietzsche, read this even in Spengler where I touches on the subject of sex and character, ironically. Uh and there's I'm sure other ones who you can kind of feel for. I I That me for that for me would be the top four if you want to read philosophically about this topic.
You can also just enjoy the things that are very masculine like war diaries, like uh I don't want to say books about men seducing women cuz that's very feminine.
Same coded. But otherwise, yeah, you can just you can just do those things. Do you need to watch a 2-hour video of three men discussing vitalist masturbation?
I'll let you be the judge.
