Using biologics for ankylosing spondylitis is not a sign of giving up or throwing in the towel; rather, it is a legitimate treatment choice that can provide symptom relief, increase energy, and enable patients to make forward progress in other areas of their health management. Patients should explore all available treatment options, understand their individual circumstances, and work with healthcare providers to determine the best approach for their specific situation.

Using biologics doesn’t mean you’re throwing the towel inAdded:
Just a quick one about biologics when it comes to ankylosing spondylitis. I've got this message quite a lot or at least insinuating this sort of thing. And the idea is that using biologics for the first time or going back to them is like throwing the towel in or like giving up. And I just want everyone to know that taking biologics or any medication is not giving up. Certain times, certain places for certain people, like they're they're a good choice. You want to look at every option out there, absolutely. I'm not saying any options good or bad, but everything's got their pros, cons, some more than other in different side.
You've just got to understand what you're doing, but also like the point is to understand what actually caused the problem, what you can do, look at like find out all the options you have. And yeah, for some people like the biologics for yourself might actually be the right choice at the right time. I see people I have clients who are already using them or even just go on them at the start when we're working the first few months and it's I understand like this is the right choice for you. Now, is it a death sentence? Is it like you've just give given in? No. Some people they feel a lot better, they then have more energy to do all the other things that they know help them and they can then make forward steps. It's I don't want people to start like that you end up doing nothing or just uh having like a defeated mentality when you do these things like when you like take the medications, the biologics. Like I've never used them. I used a lot of ibuprofen back in the day uh like when I needed to. Like so I've never used them and if I ever had to or did, I wouldn't be like throwing the towel in. I'll be like, "Well, at that point I thought it was the best thing for me at this time." This isn't This is not getting into the science of like the well, "What about this? What about that? What about that?" It's like yes, you've got to look at that, but there's all the options are fair.
Get the right advice, but whichever one you have to go with, do it.
Like give yourself and just like, you know, still be like, "Well, I can I can still make forward progress in other areas." And it doesn't mean that you know, well, I'm just a bad person. I'm just weak and I can't do anything else.
