When asked about career trajectory in interviews, avoid stating ambitious goals like owning a business or becoming an entrepreneur, as this signals you may leave soon; instead, focus on developing specific skills and becoming the go-to person for particular responsibilities within the company, demonstrating long-term commitment to the role.

Best Answer to "How Do You See This Role As Part of Your Career Trajectory?"Added:
How do you see this role as a part of your career trajectory? How do you answer that?
>> One thing we answer a lot of times when we're asked like where do you see yourself in five years or what not is we say, "Oh, I will I want to own a coffee shop or I want to be an entrepreneur or I want your job." And that makes companies run for the hills because they're saying, "This is not what you want now." If you can more talk about how you see this role in your career trajectory, focus on the skills you want to learn and the accomplishments you want to have. I want to further build up my sales skills or my marketing skills and I want to be the go-to person in the business for X, whatever that is. I hope to continue like leveling up in this trajectory. Like basically just saying, I want to do this job for years to come.
And it doesn't have to be big and elaborate, but that is what they're checking. They're checking the box there of we don't want to rehire this role really soon.
