SpaceX a Threat to Telecom Companies #stocks #investing #spacex #telcoAdded:
When you think about Telcom, I think that's generally defensible and you could say, "Well, is Bell earning a little bit too much on its ARPU?" Sure.
I mean, we all notice it in our phone bills a little bit. But, and the but the threat of SpaceX to commoditize all Telcos around the world at the same time is entirely viable today in a way that it wasn't before.
So, is SpaceX going to do that?
Potentially, potentially not. But, that is a a tail risk for Telcos in a way that we haven't seen before. So, I would have never said low earth orbit was a risk to AT&T, BCE, Deutsche Telekom at the same time, but that is very much the case. So, >> Like it it's kind of the um the the satellites. Like now we can get internet from satellites as as opposed to Exactly.
>> I have to get it now.
>> Starlink building out densities and the cost of launches for for SpaceX coming down significantly, we're going to have a $2 trillion Telco IPO effectively cuz that's what SpaceX's majority of their revenues are.
So, that's a threat to a broad cross-section of traditionally defensive, slow-moving areas.
