How We Install Tornado Shelters

[00:00:00]Hi, I'm Davis with Atlas Survival Shelters. Today, we're installing our brand new tornado shelters. Follow along. Depending on the size of the bunker you get, you go 8 feet or 9 ft or 10 ft or 12 ft with a 53 in dig depth.

[00:00:14]Everything's leveled. Everything's ready. Now, we'll place the bunker in place. Lowering the first half in the ground before we put the top on.

[00:00:24]So, now to get this thing level across, front, back, side to side. All right.

[00:00:28]And around the key joint, we use Sea Flex that you put on top and on the bottom of this key. So when you put the two halves together, it'll sandwich itself between it, creating a waterproof membrane around the shelter. Now, we're going to lower the top into place. And it takes 2 to 3 days for that to 100% cure. And once it does, you can pretty much pick the top the bunker up and it will not separate. That's how strong this stuff is.

[00:01:01]Where the dirt will settle over time, we're leaving the extra dirt for the customer. So when it does settle down and compact, then they can back fill as they please. It's all installed. Let's take a look inside.
