HAPPY the men in black today.
finally come to your promise. What is happening?
>> Yes, please. I won't be left out especially your group together. MK together.
Thank you.
>> And even yesterday some of the people were saying hi and we appreciate Thank you.
>> Yes. And you know, you see, we are dressed in our culture. We're saying our culture, our heritage.
>> So, make sure you support us. We'll keep you.
>> Yeah. Keep on sharing the videos and also subscribing.
Mrs. G. Yes, sir. Yeah.
Yeah.
>> Yeah.
Worldwide at the roots of 254. Mr. and Mrs. G. The world is ar.
Let's go.
Hey.
Yeah.
Mrs. Globy from London to do a big red carpet.
Super gorgeous.
Yes. Two things.
Yeah.
>> Wow. Yeah, >> I'm happy. It's my first time in the United Kingdom.
>> Wow.
>> I've never been here before.
>> No, I'm okay. I've been to Europe during winter.
>> December. I was in Germany, Italy, France.
>> Yeah.
>> So, I experienced winter for the first time in my life. So, this feels okay.
This feels This is child's play now.
>> It's actually Yeah. Yeah.
>> It's spring right now.
>> Yeah.
We are warming up push-ups.
>> We are here for this cultural event.
>> Yeah.
>> You know, I'm seeing all these people and I'm saying The organization is superb. People are just now streaming in. We are starting.
I know this place will be full. So, it's an exciting moment to be here.
>> Yeah. And to be alive.
>> Yeah. What are you doing today?
>> I'm an indigator. You I am a member of the DCP party.
>> Yeah.
>> And um his excellency >> Yeah.
>> was looking for people he can trust, >> people he believes in, >> people who would bring his message.
>> Yeah. because he was supposed to have come here.
>> Yeah.
>> But because of what is happening in the country, >> he will not attend today, but he'll attend on the 19th.
>> So myself, Kanini Kea >> and Senator Meo.
>> Okay.
>> We are here to represent regarding AA >> and DCP party, but also to represent ourselves >> of course >> as part of this unique and beautiful culture. Yeah.
>> Oh wow. Yeah.
>> So we looking forwardit mainly.
>> Yeah.
>> We are here to celebrate our culture of course.
>> But we also here to listen not just listen what ground.
>> We want to hear >> what is it that this diaspora community wants.
>> Yeah.
>> What are they going through?
>> Mhm.
>> What would they want to see happening differently back at home? Because you people are sending money home.
>> You people are investing at home.
>> Some of you want to retire there >> and you want to find a good country. So we want to hear from you.
So that's why we are here. Wow.
>> That's why we here.
>> It's my pleasure actually. Oh, it's nice.
>> Pleasure to meet you people.
that one year respect but I heard when you guys were coming it was a bit tough.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
The right way. The right way.
Wow.
Yeah.
Britain got talent.
Britain got talent.
Dubai.
Wow.
very talented. Yeah.
It's an extra.
Okay.
Okay.
>> All right. Just tell me who you are and what you do.
>> Oh, hi. My name is Marian Kimmani and I'm the deputy police fire and crime commissioner for Northampton Sha. It's a very big post that means uh responsible for fire >> uh responsible for policing and responsible for crime and crime is in terms of prevention >> and preh prevention of crime and working with different partners >> to prevent crime.
>> What drives you? What drives you level?
>> Well, you have to be >> in your heart of hearts.
>> You have to be a community person. This was not like something I sat down, I said I'll be this. But through my work in the community, working with young people, working within the community, working from there, it moved it over to politics. People are saying, "Oh, you could do something bigger >> using a different platform. You need a bigger platform to be able to do great things." So that's how I all started.
Got into politics, stood as a counselor.
Yeah.
>> Then from there I was the only Kenyan in the last general election on the ballot paper for parliamentary candidate.
>> Yeah.
>> How much does Kenyans know about you?
>> Very few.
I have to say >> I was actually surprised to when you talked last time about what you do >> I have to say my profile has been very low.
>> I hold the highest political position in the UK.
>> But I don't think many people know that.
But but I think uh it's an inspiration especially for young girls.
>> Yeah.
>> And what message would you want to have for these young or upcoming somebody who want to be like you?
>> You have to have the passion and the desire. You have to be motivated.
>> Uh you have to be disciplined. But you also have to be resilient because in this position as a politician you'll have to go through maybe viney for seats and then you don't get them and especially in this country where you are a black woman.
>> I say a black woman has double trouble >> because you are seen for your color and you're also seen for your gender.
>> So you have to be resilient and hardworking and um motivated to know what why you're doing. You need to know your why.
>> So any girl can do it, any woman can do it. So yeah, it's open to all.
>> How do you feel like seeing all these are Kenyans? You can relate. You can hear the music. You can hear the language. How does that make you feel?
>> It makes me feel at home.
>> Uh it's good to see so many people. It's good to see people happy and >> you know they have embraced their heritage.
>> So it's really good to carry on and it's good for our children. It's good for the next generation to be able to know that we come from a place where there's heritage, where there's food, there there's dressing. And that is really good for me to see. But I also hope it's not just seeing it.
>> It's people knowing the power they have in their vote and how politics impacts our every single day life. Yeah, >> I think my biggest frustration is when people say I don't want to be involved in politics, but politics decides your pension, your politics decide your taxes, politics decide whether you have free hospital care and your roads. So whether you like it or not, >> politics on your politics. So you might as well participate in it otherwise other people are going to do it for you.
>> Ah, awesome. So maybe a small uh advice advice or something to say about uh organizers of the event.
What would that be?
>> Well, I think we need more of them.
>> We need more across happy.
>> Yeah, people are really happy to be here. I think we need to do more across the United Kingdom. I think we tend to concentrate a lot of things maybe central to London or closer to London. I think we can go a bit north. We >> I'm camping for the people in the north.
So yeah.
>> Awesome. Thank you so much. And also having having you on on our show. Thank you so much.
>> Oh, thank you so much for inviting me.
>> Hey, mate. I'm going to have a bottle of water.
That's okay, mate.

>> Yeah. You guys FEELING HYDRATED? READY TO DANCE?
>> Ready to enjoy the music?
>> Well, thank you SO MUCH FOR HAVING ME.
MY NAME IS JERRY, ALSO KNOWN AS CHARLOTTE. That's my English name. It's my English name. I don't go by it.
>> I told you.
>> But um we'll be alternating and it'll be nice to see you guys. So when I say dance, you guys should >> When I say smile, you should >> smile.
>> When I say enjoy, you should be >> enjoy.
>> Thank you.
>> THANK YOU VERY MUCH. WHEN I SAY WHEN I SAY MORATINA, YOU SAY >> WHEN I SAY DIMI, YOU SAY, >> "YEAH, GOOD PEOPLE. You are good people." Clearly, yeah, that's why you are here. Yeah. I'm happy to see all of you here. And I'd like to invite our first act on stage.
>> All right.
How are you? Good. My name is Mary Karibu. We live in this city Kings.
Why are you here today? Thank you, Mary.

>> And I am here to support DCP because I'm the women leader diaspora for the DCP party.
>> Wow.
>> Okay. The women leader.
Globally.
>> Yeah. Wow.
I breathe, >> drink, eat party.
>> Wow.
Party is Yes. Yes. Yes.
>> She said she drinks and breathe DCP party.
>> Yeah. Tell us more about DCP party.
>> DCP party is a party that is in Kenya.
It is the biggest opposition party in Kenya under the leadership of his excellency Shagua and now we are supporting him in the diaspora because we believe diaspora is where all the is coming from.
>> Diaspora is the people who are supporting the economy of Kenya. He actually tells us we are the cash crop number one cash crop in Kenya. So we have to come and preach to our people to tell them the need for change back home.
Because if we are the backbone of the economy of Kenya and we are the one supporting people on the ground, we need to drum up that things have to change, things can be better and it can only happen if we go to places like this and tell people about our party.
>> Yeah. Oh, that's very good.
Some of us didn't know about that. At least what you have enlightened us and also knowing that we have an opposition leadership that is well supported. We were hoping Mr. Gashaga would be here today.
>> Me too. Yeah, we hope so.
>> But something happened. Yeah.
>> Unfortunately, he would not make because the nominations are today and we know this matter to the party. It matters to us that we get the Okaro seat. So, he had to stay on the ground. But he's coming on the 16th. The dinner party on the 16th. His excellency will be here.
So, we will get to meet him there. But also he sent his he sent his best people. He sent me you know.
>> So at least we'll have a gist of what's going on. But when did you guys arrive here? All the way from America.
>> We did.
>> So when you came today or yesterday?
>> I came yesterday.
>> Yeah. And I'm really surprised how big London is. I was supposed to land. I found myself at Gatwick. But here I am.
It's beautiful. It's my first time in the UK and I'm loving it. It is nice.
The weather is beautiful.
>> It's beautiful. Is it cold in America right now?
>> H it's summer. Summer is creeping in.
You know, America is so huge is like Europe. So the southern part is really hot, but the northern part is is like here.
>> Okay. Ah, it's nice talking to you. I'm always proud of women in leadership.
It's something to look up to and we appreciate for your time. Thank you. We hope we enjoy it today. What are you going to tell me King's people and the whole of the Thank you s >> let us let us change Kenya let us get involved it takes you getting involved follow what is happening call out bad leadership when you see it like we are seeing it and don't forget chairman DCP ground pleased to meet you Yes. Yeah.

It's >> It's real.
So, thank you guys.
So, keep it right here.
>> Let's do this.
>> Hey, how are you?
>> Good. It's good to see you again.
>> Good to see you again.
>> Feeling so good to see you. Actually the last time the big you were actually my first few customers. I was actually you were like how old? So I was actually not even start but here we are. We thank the Lord.
Yeah. Good luck.
You know we say our culture is ouritage from chili to yes the we have everything >> the fedora has been there. So we are incorporating the modern designs into our African designs to make it suitable for everyone. So we have like different dresses like the ones over there. Even if you don't have anything of any any search of these things, you can have a touch of anything. I've even noticed you even have not.
>> Yes, we have on car.
>> Can you imagine?
>> And they are Mama Africa branded actually. Look at that.
>> Look at that.
>> So tell us about Mama Africa by the way.
>> Yeah. So Mama Africa it was um actually I think six, seven, eight months ago. So it's not even we have not yet celebrated our first birthday.
>> Wow.
>> So we are a growing business. because we are an African business and we are also we are trying to incorporate some of our African African touch into our modern clothes. That is why I do dresses that that's why I'm still doing corsets like the ones I'm wearing. That's why I'm doing official clothes official. I'm doing shorts. I'm doing blazers. I'm trying to also we have the >> the jeans but also we have done some you see.
>> Look at it.
>> I know. And we can Yeah. Now you can match it with one of the I can see. So shake.
>> Thank you.
>> So we're trying to bring a bit of home to it.
>> Seems like you have a bronchure this time around.
>> We are proud of you.
>> Thank you so much. Thank you so much.
>> Where can we find you on socials?
>> So we are on Instagram. You can find us on Instagram Africa. You can find us on Facebook. And we also have a Shopify account where you can shop our products.
>> And we have handbags as well. guy.
Everything is so cool and so cute. Have you seen this one? Look at that.
>> Tell us about that one. This one looks like a proper handbag.
>> It is. So, we're trying to incorporate some Africa African touch but into a modern handbag. So, econom It's something that you can actually go for a date night for church.
Even a handle.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> So, we have a big bag like this one >> for Where do you use this one for in the beach? Yeah. No, if you're a mom, you can have a lot of things in here >> for your some of us are planning to leave >> as you should.
There are a lot of things in this in the bag. So, if you're looking for a bag, >> I would say go with one of one of Can I have that one?
>> Of course.
>> So, yeah. So, as you can see, some addition I'm buying everything >> as you should.
Oh, we also have like this our newest um product. We have the rafia bag.
This a very cute bag actually.
If you're if you're an extra person.
>> I see. But they're very firm. Oh, that's so cool.
It's a dry person.
We were here for you. The bag will speak before you.
>> A I've never seen such a thing. I tell you.
>> Wow.
>> Okay. And it has colors.
>> We have colors. So we have it in red.
>> Yeah.
>> For extras.
>> The extra people.
>> Oh yeah.
>> So it comes in red. It comes in pink.
Oh, the inside looks like Oh, that's very tend to match the inside with the with the outside.
>> Okay, I see. So, if it's red, it's red outside.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Oh, that's a very good preferred now that we want to have kids. My kids will come and remove everything.
>> I know what you mean, love. But yeah, thank you so much.
>> I love everything this time around.
Their shoes.
We're going to summer and they're mama Africa coders.
>> Wow, that's don't play.
>> We are not joking.
>> Not joking.
>> How about these ones? Tell us about >> So we have the brass. These are we actually make them from home. So these are pure brass is a is another form of metal. So copper is a metal. Gold is a So brass is also a form of metal that does not actually fit silver.
>> Now we have brass. And I love we actually try to personalize some of our designs. It's a woman inside.
>> And we did the rings as well. Let me show you a ring I actually made for my friend. It's her birthday.
>> Oops. Sorry. Mhm.
>> So rings come easy. So we can personalize the rings the way you want it.
>> Okay. And yeah, rings. I find them extra.
>> So it just depend on what kind of you like >> and yeah, something like that.
>> Oh, I love that one.
>> Does it does look good? Looks like those Indian thingy that you do pe the way.
>> Chakra.
Yes, >> of course.
>> Let me show you.

So yes, I am a hawker in the UK, but I sell African inspired products and we are in Oxford. That's where we're located. Huge, huge thank you. to my to my very beautiful partner Mr. Tony actually the the first I know so he was the first person to support and to actually believe in my dream about starting a a business in the UK so it's something I'm really passionate about so follow us purchase from us talk to us yes Happy.
Ying.
And guys, I need to tell you what.
>> Yeah. Sour. My name is Marin North.
>> Yeah.
>> I am authentically officially Kenyan and I sell African wear.
>> Beautiful stuff.
>> Thank you very much. So effectively accessories.
I used to go to Kenya cuz I used to get like unique pieces and then So then I thought okay so let me start.
So it started like that. Wow. Um, and then bring a bit of Kenya into London, into England, into Europe, you know. Thank you very much.
Yeah, it brings a bit of home. Yeah. The thing is >> for me like for me growing up um were always for like the you know that's for but they're doing so many different things now so many different designs that it's amazing how things have changed.
>> Creative very creative. Exactly.
>> Very creative. Kenyans are extremely creative. Every year they come out with something different something new you know you know. So when you integrate the two, it comes out to be something very special. Very very special.
>> Thank you.
>> How long?
>> Nanza 2023.
H actually my biggest biggest supporter has been Lydia Tlet.
>> Wow.
>> She's the one who pushed me into doing this actually because I didn't know where to start, what to do, where to go.
you know, come and try your first one.
So that's when I did my first one at 2023. She's been my biggest supporter after her is my friend over there, Betty. But that's it's been Lydia all along. So Kenya Park, I did my first showing there and it went very well. Very very well.
>> Beautiful.
>> Yeah. So was 23. I didn't do anything else that year until 2024 could build.
So I've been networking like that because every year now so like 2024 I did like six events 2025 I did about 20 of them. Um and then this year I'm I'm I'm kind of downsizing Kogo because I think I spread myself too wide. So I think I need to downsize KDogo. And >> actually I want to do more specializing instead of doing everything I specialize so that when people want something particular they know they can come to me for something particular.
There's so many people doing the same thing.
I'm actually happy for you.
>> Thank you beautiful stuff.
>> Thank you England.
and and that's the thing um we need to network more that people can actually find you though is that for example me I don't do business cards >> because you give someone a business card >> they never call you so for me it was a waste of money to print business cards if you contact you contact if you don't is fine, but I'm not going to waste money on business cards, you know.
So, effectively the the name of my company is beautiful people.
>> Beautiful people.
>> Beautiful people.
>> Where do you find social media?
>> You can find me on Instagram. You can find me on Tik Tok >> both under MN for marine north and then beautiful people. So, MN beautiful people.
>> Yeah. So, I also do order. So if somebody has something particular that they've seen that they want to get made then everything that's here I go for it myself then I I get it made so beautiful people my logo is an orange logo MN beautiful people >> maybe a small message to the event organizer Okay. So, to the event organizers, especially Bula Money, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Um, I wasn't sure I was going to do the event, but I'm glad that I'm here. I'm glad that I'm representing my company, Beautiful People. Um, and I hope people will come and visit and buy social media.
Yeah. Thank you very much.

>> And also in a special way, our leaders, sponsors, our leaders, you know, we had we were expecting the Gadi Gashaga, but he didn't turn up. He sent one one one gentleman who looks like my brother-in-law >> and we were really honored to like listen to them, hear what they have for us and telling us statistically where we are economically. And we are good. We are sending money home, but we also need to know that we are sending money home where we will eventually go back to. So we appreciate everybody who turned up, the sponsors and Mr. G of course and our friends in a special way. We might not mention all of them.
