This documentary masterfully bridges the gap between raw street reality and the complex neuroscience of addiction. It humanizes a systemic crisis by demonstrating that recovery requires addressing both brain chemistry and broken social structures.

>> I just need money to start business. I get business.
>> What kind of business? I'll just go buy all those rubber rubber drink for [ __ ] for street >> like inside the rubber >> like simmer eagle a bit start business too much say nobody find me find it like this.
>> Drug addiction is a very tricky type of addiction. At first it feels like something you just take to temporarily make yourself happy. But over time it begins to change how the brain works.
Most addictive drugs cause a massive release of dopamine. As time goes on the brain begins to treat the drug as one of the most important things for survival.
The cravings become stronger than normal decision making. Some people become willing to do almost anything just to survive the addiction. For a few hours, the problems disappear. Confidence rises. Pain feels distance. After a short while, reality returns, often worse than before, creating a painful circle. And so they go back to it again and again.
I do stop. I do come back. If I said that I want to stop, I will stop. But I said I don't want to. I won't.
>> It's a decision. That means you don't want to stop.
>> I want to stop now. I've stopped. I've come back. It's something you cannot just like just stop. Just just stop like that. Why? Like that. Even though you went to rehabilitation, you see I still come and continue.
>> Would you want to go to rehab?
>> I don't want to. And I will not.
>> My house is my rehab.
>> Why? Why? Why do you think so?
>> Cuz if I go there, I will still come back here. So there's no excess of going to the rehab.
>> How would you know when you've not found out? If not, you don't know if you are going to be rehabilitated. If you go to rehab.
>> Yeah. I don't chill out on my own. I never been to re rehabilitation or something. I chill out on my own on the norms.
>> Are you sober now?
>> I'm just in back now.
>> Do you ever plan on stopping?
>> Definitely.
>> What do you think is going to register?
>> Um if I decide actually I can decide right now that to stop but I can I stayed like 3 years when I travel to Ghana. Maybe say if you take one if you if you buy 500 if you take if you take 30 minutes 40 minutes time don't for your eye if you don't get money if you get money you must buy some for 1 hour if you know you smoke and work if you born almost like born 3k we born 4k born 5k that's per hour like 3 hours you understand so it come depends as you you okay with you But now that one head up and down head up and down game at all game make this like this but thank God they won't kill us. Which one you take?
I come through come across say I regret my life for my make me as an artist I don't even want my power but you say you understand it's so you believe and you as a man give you no try at all cuz if you try for that first day you be control If you don't come out when I take I want die this one.
Addiction does not only destroy the body. It slowly disconnects people from their dreams, families and even themselves. In a country where making ends meet has become a daily struggle, many people turn to temporary comfort just to forget the ash reality.
>> I want to be a pilot. Everything come make you become pilot.
>> Say things far, things go far. Things go far. No bad. No anything. No anything to carry on.
>> Every addict has a story that many people never gets to hear. A story of pain, loss, pressure, trauma, or simply the desperate need to escape reality.
>> The thing that happened to me before, I will never forget my life. E the day where I b my I don't go forget for my life.
>> You mean the pain?
>> Yes. Do >> you have any regrets?
>> Getting pregnant for my baby father.
That's the worst thing that I regret ever. He's an irresponsible man. Sorry to say. Wherever he is, let him know he's an irresponsible man.
>> You've not seen him since then?
>> Yeah.
>> At what age were you?
>> 18 years.
>> 18 years.
>> That means your child is 12 years old now.
>> Yes. I gave birth to twins, two boys.
That was my parents at Badagu.
>> Sometimes inside the pain are people who once had ambitions, families, talents and futures they genuinely believed in.
>> So wait for people for people inside life. What you don't know about follow understand the matter. You never chop her. You never chop her before they say take. You know it must you chop her.
Must it must you even feel from feeling some people feel take their life. You understand smoke because drug kill for them everything. Anybody drugh you say me God escape me. I know how many I know how many I me one of the one way life they don't die they love the senior ones the parent because the eye of the parent don't see the parent the one they see the future >> start of drug listen to their parents They should don't follow bad friends cuz bad bad friend that that lead me to what I'm into now. That's what I can just said to them.
>> The real question is not only how they got here but whether society is willing to help them find a way back.
Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe while I see you on the next one. Goodbye.
