Now, you know, Dr. Matthew Levered, my friend, he he will he would never agree to that and I would let him and happily let him not agree to that. Uh but nevertheless, there was this accusation. And then on the other hand with the people with the best intentions, and I think this comes through many of the resource month and communio theologians, it's just simply that they're all over the map with metaphysics even though their intentions and their goals are in the best place.

[00:00:44]And so this is why, you know, you find the strange fascination, lifelong fascination of de Lubac with Teilhard de Chardin.

[00:00:54]I mean, how does how do you square the two? Or you have kind of the Hegelian echoes and the neo-Patripassian echoes in von Balthasar.

[00:01:05]It's it's it's it's because in in in seeking to resource, they didn't recapitulate and bring forward a coherent and adequate and integral metaphysical worldview.

[00:01:17]Now, those worldviews and metaphysics don't need to be set in stone. They can be developed, they can be altered. But the core reality of being over becoming, eternal over temporal, that always has to be the foundation. Otherwise, you'll end up in you know, this this kind of mess that came after the council.

[00:01:36]You know, a kind of a kind of evangelization by accompaniment without the need for conversion, or at least seemingly so.
