The video effectively highlights the disconnect between clinical data and the visceral, subjective reality of the subconscious. It serves as a sharp reminder that while science can measure the mechanics of sleep, it remains largely illiterate in the language of our dreams.

Have You Ever Had A Dream Like This?Added:
Have you ever had a dream that was so realistic that when you finally woke up, it took you minutes to get your bearings and determine, well, that was just a dream.
Oh man, I just had one of them and it was so powerful, I figured I' I wasn't even planning on making a video today, but something about this dream was different because it was real.
Now, our scientific world really doesn't know much about dreams. They know that when our eyelids are twitching, we we're probably dreaming. They put little gadgets on your head. Yep, he's dreaming. But they can't look into what you're dreaming about. They can't tell you the craziness that happens in a dream. Now, most dreams are just ridiculous. They don't make much sense.
Some dreams are more clear than others.
And sometimes you see people that are no longer alive. Sometimes you see people you've never met. I have a lot of these dreams where there's people I don't even know who they are. I've never met these people. But the dream I had today struck home. And the reason that it did is because it was one of my dogs. One of my dogs that's laying over there passed away eight years ago. Her name was Lucy.
I'll put a picture right here of her.
Now, I think of her from time to time.
Um, I have a special bond with all of my dogs, past and present.
But this particular dog was I would say she was special. She all if I was somewhere, she had to be there.
If I sat in a chair, didn't matter how big she got, she would jump in my lap and get up on my chest and turn upside down and I'd hold her like a baby. She'd be three years old and I she'd still jump in my lap ever since I had her. She would do this.
And when she was 6 years old, I woke up one day and I found her in the middle of the yard and she was gone. No explanation. She was healthy. I took her to the vet. The vet examined her her body and said, "Well, I think maybe her stomach got twisted." It happens to dogs from time to time. And that was it. And man, did that hit me cuz she was a very special dog. And so today, I took a nap. I sat down in my recliner and I took a short nap. Well, it was about a 2hour nap. I was tired, man.
And in this dream, I'm in a place a lot like where I live, but it wasn't my place. Things were different. I didn't pay a lot of attention or I don't have a memory of the surroundings, but it was an environment like I'm in now.
And in this dream, I see a dog coming running towards me. And I recognize this dog immediately, although her colors are a little darker.
She looks a little different, but it's I can sense that it's Lucy. And she is crying and whining because if if you've ever been away from your dog for a few days, you know how they a lot of dogs react uh when they see you again. And so she was going crazy, just happy to see me.
What bothers me that it doesn't bother me, but what gets me the most is I knew who she was immediately knew who she was. And there were other dogs.
There were other dogs and I believe they were some of the other dogs I had, but the focus in this dream seemed to have been on her.
So what are dreams? Is it part of our our makeup that we is some people say it's an out-of- body experience some people say it's our mind playing tricks on us but usually when I have a dream it's something I would never imagine in my you know it's just something that happens in these dreams that would never I would never think of totally off-the-wall stuff but then there are dreams like that that are so realistic I I mean, when I woke up, I I had to look around and I had to comp it didn't compute what had just happened.
And for a second, I'm thinking, where's Lucy? That's how real this dream was.
And she's been gone eight years. And why was it just her? Because I've lost several other dogs. Maybe I guess maybe they're coming in the next dreams. I don't know. But I always seem to have these dreams like this when I take a nap in the afternoon. That's some of the weirdest dreams I've ever had happen in the afternoon when I'm taking a nap. But this one was a lot different. This is the probably one of the most realistic dreams I have ever had. And that just adds to the mystery. Why do we have dreams? There's different kinds of dreams. I've had these sleep paralysis dreams and I haven't had one in a long long time and I hope I don't ever have one again. But if you've ever had one of them, you will not forget it because you wake up screaming.
It's I don't know in my dreams it's like I am being tied up and there's and I'm paralyzed and that's sleep paralysis.
I'm paralyzed and it's a terrifying situation and I cannot get free. No matter how hard I try or what I do, I am paralyzed and all I can do is observe what is happening. Now, there's a lot of theories for sleep paralysis. Some people say it's the aliens examining us.
Hey, man, maybe it is. I don't know. I can tell you this. I've had I can probably say probably five or six of these sleep paralysis dreams and they are no fun. They are no fun.
Then you have those that say, "Well, if you ever have the dream where you feel like you're falling and you don't wake up, you die."
Come on, man. How How do we even prove something like that? Because, well, if you didn't wake up and you die, obviously the people aren't going to be telling you, right? Well, you're up in heaven at the gates. What are you here for? What happened? Well, I was falling and sleeping. I didn't wake up. Yep.
That's why. Oh, yeah. There's a whole group of us, man. Fallers anonymous.
Yep.
But I've had dreams as well that were you could call deja vu. I've seen places in my dreams.
I I know one case in particular. There was a building I saw and and I've I've made videos on these on dreams before and I've talked about this, but there was a particular building and this building was a two-story brick building and it had big evergreen trees in the park. It had a parking lot, a gravel parking lot.
Well, my grandmother lived in Decar, Illinois. My dad's mother lived in Decar, Illinois. and I was going uh somewhere and I stopped for the night and as I'm driving through Decar, I look off. I'm at a stoplight and I look off and there's that same to the tea building and it's a bar and I'm like a I ain't stopping in there, man. Nuh-uh. There's something about maybe that dream was to tell me, hey, don't come get your beer here tonight. But it was weird. Now I I can understand that you know a lot of buildings look alike the chances of but why would I retain that memory because when I seen that building immediately that dream came to mind most dreams we forget we never we never even remember half of the dreams we have but then now and then we have the a dream that we'll never forget for the rest of our life and that one I just had is one of those dreams It wasn't just visual. You could feel it. You could I could feel Lucy in that dream. And I I knew immediately it was her. I knew.
And I I could feel the emotion and I could feel that she had missed me. I hope that's what happens when my life ends. That that they are waiting. I think we all hope for that.
But our dreams just a bunch of hogwash.
I think there's something to it. Are we physically or mentally leaving our bodies and going into another dimension or world? That could be cuz there's a lot about the human mind that we haven't figured out and we never will figure out. And it's just the feelings that were in this dream that that make you wonder. A lot of most dreams that I have, it's just a vague memory. You might remember bits and pieces. And apparently there they only last a few seconds. They don't really know this. I don't know. But this one felt so real. I actually looked around my house when I woke up looking for her. I don't know. I don't dabble in witchcraft or anything like that. It's just one of life's mysteries. And if you're one of those people that think boom, there was a big explosion and dogs and cats and humans and birds and trees just appeared. As complicated as all of our systems are, man, you must you must not believe in much. I feel for you. But there are people that think it's all a bunch of hogwash. There's nothing past our life we have. I believe otherwise. And there's Miss Tilly. We'll get her in the picture in a minute. Well, did you want to did you want to come in the picture?
Cuz you know I'm talking about dogs.
Your sister Lucy. Yeah. She came into a dream of mine. Yeah. She looks a lot like you. She has vampire hair. Yeah.
She's got a little V there. So, I thought I'd share that. Guys, just in the comments, tell me what's your most real dream. Have you had the sleep paralysis dream? What do you think that is?
Uh, man, I kind of wanted to go back to sleep to go back into the dream to give her a treat. But those are the dreams I enjoy having. So, let me know about your dreams. And may you have sweet dreams tonight. Don't get the paralysis stuff.
That stuff's horrible, man. Happy trails. Let's Let's go see Lucy for a second. And by the way, Lucy is Waldo's sister. So, if you've guys been watching my channel now, something very strange.
There was a It's no longer here. I took it out about 6 months ago, but there was one of these solar lights that I put in Lucy's grave.
I put there when she died in 2017.
And that thing every now and then for like seven years would come on. I have never seen one of those last more than a year. But for seven years, it wouldn't come on every night. Just now and then. And finally, I just got rid of it. It kind of spooked me out. But I've got dogs buried all in here just as I know. They look terrible. I got to do something better. But that's Wall-E.
And that's Libby. These weeds grow so fast. There's boy. That's Lucy's brother, Waldo.
That's Millie. Oh, no. That's That's uh Waddles the rooster and that's Millie.
And the last three will go behind them.
I don't want to even think about that.
But yeah, there's there's my whole my whole clan right there. And I remember I will always remember each and every one of them. Well, guess who I seen in my dream who visited me? Lucy. Yeah. You remember Lucy? She taught you how to make a nest in the dog house. She taught you what to bark at and what not to bark at. Yeah. She told She stood up for you when Waldo was picking on you. Yeah, I seen her. Yes, I did. You're the only one alive now that knew her. You're twice as old as Lucy was when she went to dog heaven. But you know what they're doing? They're up there getting our yard ready. All of them are. And it's going to be a nice yard. Yep. They're getting all of our yards ready. All right.
