Beads and Bullying Oil executivesAdded:
Hi.
Whoops-y-daisy, it's been a while. Hi, YouTube.
It's It's me. I'm back.
Um I I can't make any promises about how regular these videos will be, but I'm going to try. There's a lot of that right now.
Um So, for those who don't know, um I've been off working for another climate organization that I joined recently called Climate Defiance.
Um and I've been really busy working with them on communications and stuff uh with their org. And it's been It's It's been an adventure. What can I say? We're doing all kinds of cool things, and I'm doing all kinds of new stuff. So, there's that. Um my dad also stayed with me again for about a month ish.
Um So, that took up a bunch of my time.
Um I am still working on beadwork all the time, every day. Uh this is a bag charm that I've been that that that that I just finished.
The the eat the rich. So, the earrings are of this design. The earrings version of this design went crazy viral over on Threads mainly.
Um and it well, I'm I'm still I'm I'm in a forever loop of catching up on orders. Um As you can see here, I have my beading set up.
And I'm pretty much working on orders every day. It's It's This this is my life now.
I'm I'm I'm beating and I'm bullying oil executives.
So, it's not all that bad.
Besides besides, you know, it's self-inflicted things like my my lack of time management skills, everything's fine.
As fine as it can be in times such as these, that is.
Uh I am going on a work trip here soon.
Um so, I'm going to be out of town for a little bit. And then as soon as I get back from that work trip, I am going to a big native gathering in Alaska.
Folks have been asking me to join them in celebration for the last the last couple rounds, and I am finally able to go for the first time in 20 years.
Almost it exact I'm pretty sure the last time that I went was 2006.
So, this would be 20 years exactly since the last time I went. Last time I was at Celebration, which is in Juneau uh every other year. Uh it's the biggest gathering of Tlingit and Haida and Tsimshian tribes uh that takes place in the whole world.
I do believe. And I grew up going as a kid when I was in Alaska.
Uh and the last one that I went was right before my grandma passed away.
So, uh there's a lot of feelings tied up in that trip. I'm really excited to go.
I'll be bringing my regalia, and there will be videos, of course. And I want to say a big thank you to all the folks who have been supporting all the ways and places all these years, the Patreon, the newsletter, the views, subscribing.
You guys continue to make my reconnection to the culture possible.
Um and just you can see behind me how far we've come.
I remember one day I was promising to get more auntie earrings.
Now I've got all the auntie earrings >> [laughter] >> and a cedar hat and um and I'm going to celebration.
It's happening.
So, um I've been focusing on taking my own advice, plugging into community, joining an org, and yeah, so this is me updating you on that.
It's Things have been nonstop, crazy, but we are still plugging away.
So, I am buckling down and waking up earlier and staying up later so I can make time to do all the things because I miss making videos for you guys and I miss hanging out in the comment sections, all the different places. Um I've been streaming more on TikTok. I'm going to make a comeback to Twitch. I have dust up dusted off my OBS. I have my next newsletter The next draft of my newsletter started.
I feel good.
Um We're getting back to it. So, >> [sighs] >> the next project is likely stopping a data center in Alaska.
Folks have seen me uh making some very angry birdie noises over on Threads, mostly, but there is likely more to come in that general vicinity. So, that being said, I'm going to wrap up this very quick video.
That's all I got for check-ins.
Um Dad is doing great for those who are wondering.
Uh he again, he stayed with me for a while, and then he went back to Alaska to do his doctor doctor stuff and work stuff, and now he's going to be doing another big trip work-related. I don't know if I'm allowed to share details about that just yet, but once he's ready to share more with you guys, I will let you know, cuz it's exciting stuff.
So, that's it.
Now that's it.
Yes.
Okay.
So, for everyone in Alaska, maybe we'll see you at celebration.
And everyone else, I will see you all the places on these digital streets.
Okay, bye.
