With nearly four years of experience as a digital commerce content creator, Vu Quynh Trang has joined numerous live stream sessions [music] and collaborated with brands to promote products on digital platforms. To her, this work requires more than [music] creativity.

After four years, I feel this is being recognized as a real job, just like many other jobs. It's not simply about standing there and introducing products like a regular KOL. I also work alongside brands to grow together.
Previously, many digital content creators enter the field in a spontaneous way, but if the creator workforce grows without clear standards, risks can emerge such as misleading advertising, data privacy issues, and unfair competition. That is why building professional competencies early is important. It helps creators prepare for tighter regulations, grow more sustainably, and build long-term trust.
We need to establish clear professional standards for this workforce. This not only helps state agencies with management and supervision, but also gives creators a foundation to work more sustainably and in the long term. It will also help them contribute more formally to Vietnam's digital economy.
With a smartphone, internet access, and the right skills, young people can join this market from almost anywhere, turning digital platforms from spaces for content creation into starting points for entrepreneurship. According to TikTok, around 6 million content creators in Vietnam reportedly earn a monthly income from the platform, and across the wider internet ecosystem, this workforce could reach up to 10 million people.
This can be seen as a very favorable field for young entrepreneurship.
Joining the digital economy not only creates a new career path, but also equips young people with many skills they can apply to future career development.
