Why people prefer conspiracy theories over the truth during elections.

[00:00:00]Uh the unfortunate reality is like, I you know, people don't really want the truth. I mean, I don't know if it's like I mean, we've really seen it. Maybe it's not a learning, but like it's it's just not what people are interested in. Like well, it dep- I mean, maybe it's just a bit of a broad statement, but like during the election, what the thing that was very interesting, so like when Trump odds were up, and you know, we we've kind of really seen this like at some point there's like a bunch of conspiracy theories that like I was a Mossad agent because I work at Palantir at some point, and you know, we're rigging the election. And then when at some point the Harris odds were up after the anti-circle for like a brief point of time, I flipped to being an Egyptian billionaire. So, I'm I'm neither.

[00:00:41]Um but um there's this sort of very strong like needs, and we see it on social media, we see it everywhere, to sort of like re- reinforce a narrative. And like it's all about like what is sort of end goal, and like figure out what data backs it.
