Fox 17 News Karen Aguilar is live now in front of the new Nissan Stadium with what this opportunity really means.
Scott, it's a big celebration for Nashville. Hosting the Super Bowl in 2030 means economic growth along with more businesses and events coming to Music City.
For the first time, America's marquee and most watched sporting event will be in Music City. Nashville will host the Super Bowl in 2030 at the new Nissan Stadium, which is slated to be finished by 2027. Deana Ivey is the CEO of Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp.
And it puts Nashville on the map as a new big big event city. The event is expected to bring economic growth including tourism, hotels, restaurants, and bars.
Braden Crouch is a Nashville native who works at AJ's on Broadway. I think it's great for all these bars down here. He experienced the 2019 NFL Draft in downtown, which drew around 600,000 people. It helped the city. It helped these small businesses. Ivey says the draft proved Nashville could handle the volume, which set up the stage for the Super Bowl. It showed the NFL what we could do as a city, how exciting this city is.

When you think about the corporations that come to the Super Bowl, they'll take a look at Nashville. Hopefully, they'll move their businesses here or relocate here. As exciting as it is to have the Super Bowl in Nashville, will it return?
We looked at the comparable size city of Las Vegas, which hosted the Super Bowl in 2024.
The Super Bowl will make a comeback to that city in 2029. Our sister station KSNV reports the biggest allure is the city's ability to host massive crowds with hotel space to match.

The last 10 years, we have doubled our number of hotel rooms in Nashville, and we have about 20,000 rooms in the pipeline.
