Infrastructure projects like the Southern Coastal Highway Improvement Project (SCHIP) require careful route selection that balances topographic challenges with strategic connectivity goals, often involving bypass routes to avoid problematic terrain features like steep hills while connecting key economic and tourism destinations.

The New Southern Gateway: Predicting the Williamsfield to Hodges Link (SCHIP 2026)本站添加:
So, I'm here at Spur Tree on this death trap road.
And the reason why they're building the highway is going to be revealed. I will tell you during this video. Where is the highway going to go?
I'm going to tell you exactly where this highway goes. So, stay tuned. I'm going to tell you where the highway's going and and I'm going to allude to even more secret juicy interesting >> [music] >> So, where are we, guys? You know.
You know.
We're Spur Tree.
And down there is the plains.
I'm going to tell you also some other amazing things. I'm going to tell you about where the bypass connections are going to go to.
I'm going to tell you the exact route and why.
And I'm going to lay it all out.
So, here we are, Spur Tree.
So, here we are at Spur Tree.
And this is the part of the road that causes all the problems. It does. Okay, there's a lot of accidents there.
And there's a lot of issues with logistics.
So, here we can see on the map that I'm marking out Williamsfield, where the toll road starts. And the new road, the southwestern bypass, is going to go through Knockpatrick and it's going to go through Newport.
It's then going to go over the top of Top Hill, through Nain, and Junction is just going to be below it. And then the most critical part, where it loops back up, and it's going to go underneath Big Woods.
And I've taken a wrong turn there, but don't worry about that.
It's going to go between, so it's going to come under Big Woods. It's going to go up between Ridge Pen Mountainside.
Up the side of Burnt Savannah, up the side of Burn Ground, Pass Slip, over the top of Frenchman, and then it's going to come down and probably going to go closer to Luana than Black River. Okay?
It could go up what between Whitehall, but I don't think it is because of the topography and the hills, but it might do. Okay? Depending.
But it's probably going to go between uh Luana and Black River. Now, you can see here that that is the old road.
And the only reason I'm putting that on is because >> [snorts] >> it creates a space in the middle.
Why would it create a space in the middle? Now, look, there's going to be a road coming down from Junction because that's going to basically be a bypass almost.
Then they're going to create a bypass at Lacovia or between there and Santa Cruz to cut out the Santa Cruz. It's going to be a direct road going down to Treasure Beach because Treasure Beach is probably going to benefit from all of this.
And if you ask me, they're either going to put a new road going down to Alligator Pond on one side of that mountain, that hill, or right next to the the road that's there already.
Probably.
Okay?
Anyway, you can see that we've got a very, very clear structure for the southwest highway.
And let's look at it again with the actual mountains. You can see you've got Williamsfield with the toll road T1. And then the toll road, obviously the original road that everyone uses now is the A2 to take you west. It's very congested. So, what we're going to do is we're going to either It's either going to come down from Williamsfield or it's just going to connect directly from Porus, where it is at the moment, all right? We don't know yet. That bit's not really that important. There's a couple of mountain ridges there. It's probably going to be number two.
Anyway, point is probably going to go between Knockpatrick and Newport.
Like such. And then you can kind of clearly see the path of where it's going. You see there's a little dip there. It's going to go over that.
It's going to go between Nain. I'm probably going a bit too too uh too high there from my drawing, but you get the point.
So, it's going to go between Top Hill Nain. It's going to go just over the top of Junction, so you can get into Junction.
Here's the road. I'll probably It's either going to go that side of the mountain or it's going to go on the other side of the mountain, but who knows? That Alligator.
Then you can see that you've got this flat pack plateau and a lower ground. So, Big Woods is actually on lower ground and Malvern is on a higher plane. If you didn't know that, now you know. So, it's going to come down onto the low plain and it's going to just come along that mountain ridge, that drop on the plateau, right?
It's going to come up past Mountainside, past Burnt Savannah, past Burn Ground, Pass Slip, over the top of Frenchman.
And you can see from the video that there's actually hills there. So, it's probably not going to do that. It's going to go closer to Luana, I'd imagine, rather than going to close and it's going to carry on, but we're not worrying about that leg of the highway, okay? This is the major infrastructure project which is going to transform Jamaica, okay? This is it.
This what you're looking at now, or rather this, okay? So, here we go again.
You can see why they're putting the bypass there because you have these mountain ridges here, okay? So, you want to get it in before that. You want to get that bypass of Lacovia and slip in so you miss out uh Santa Cruz. Now, you can see I'm highlighting some areas where potential big builds could go, okay? So, Junction is going to have a a bypass or there's going to be a road. Remember, Treasure Beach is going to have that road.
And uh there's going to be some major developments.
So, yeah, if you have a look, there's probably going to be some kind of bypass uh from the A2 linking to the new southwest highway.
Um probably before it goes down the mountain, right?
But we'll see. We'll see. That bit's not really that important. Here is an artist's impression of the road. Now, some of the word Some of the names of the towns are a bit muddled cuz I used AI, but really it doesn't really matter. Take a screenshot of this if you want, you know what I mean? That's what I would do.
Uh because essentially this is the blueprint that I believe from doing lots of research just on public available material.
Uh and studying the land and the mountains and where would be possible beneficial for the road to go.
I'm not going to get into the nuts and bolts and the money and the announcements of of of Mr. Holness, his honorable Mr. Holness, or anything like that. I'm just going to give it because who cares?
No one wants to know about it. People say this, people You want to know where it's going.
This is where it's probably going to I bet my hat on. I'd eat I'd eat my hat if this is not where it goes. Okay, guys?
So, let me know if you think that this is total nonsense and I've gone completely crackers or if you think that this is, you know, something that you you think that might might happen.
So, stay tuned. All I'm going to say is in the next video, I am going to reveal to you you guys out there.
Um to you guys.
To you, buddy.
I'm going to reveal where the third city, the new smart city is going to go.
Now, I'm going to take You might be like, "Oh, I know where it's going." You probably think it's going Hodges.
No chance, buddy. Not a snowball's. It ain't going Hodges, okay?
I'm going to tell you where it's going.
I'm going to tell you why it's going there. There's multiple reasons why it's going there.
Multiple.
And I will tell you and you'll know and then you'll be like, "Wow." And again, all I can say is my my This is just analysis of public information. I haven't seen anyone connect the dots. That's why I'm doing this.
Um I moved We moved to Jamaica and then I started researching this because it was um probably the most exciting thing that I that has come across my you know, my desk uh in a while. So, I was like So, I started looking into it and I started researching it. I'm like, "Where is it going?"
You know, and the more I researched it, the more I become fascinated with it and the more I'm really thinking, "Wow, I'm excited." Anyway, all good things. All good things. It's all amazing things.
So, stay tuned for the next video and I'm going to tell you exactly where the third and smart city is going to go.
And I'm I am so positive that I know where it's going. Um you know, it has to go there. It has to.
So, stay tuned. Thank you. Like and subscribe. Send this to your pals. Show this to people that want that live in this area or anywhere near that they're thinking, like, "Where What's going to happen with this highway?
How's it going to affect us? What's it going to be like for business? What's it going to be like for Jamaica? What's it going to be like for tourism on the South Coast?" All these things, okay?
Stay tuned for the next vid.
Ciao.
