Loid Forger's transformation from a guilt-ridden liar to a calculated deceiver demonstrates how personal trauma and utilitarian reasoning can reshape one's moral framework, allowing individuals to justify deception as a necessary means to achieve greater objectives, even when those objectives involve deception toward those they claim to protect.

How Loid Forger Justifies His LiesHinzugefügt:
Loid Forger is a dishonest person, but it wasn't always the case. We see in his flashback that he actually felt quite guilty lying to his parents. In this video, we're going to talk about what turned Loid into the lying person he is today and his rationale as to why he feels okay doing it. Loid's backstory starts off with a lie he told his dad about the school fair being tomorrow so he could get money to instead buy a toy soldier kit. He feels really bad about the lie and thinks about giving the money back. What's ironic is that this lie actually saved his life from the lie that the politician said about there being no war between Ostania and Westalis.
This lie, along with his family and everything he cared for being ripped away from other people's lies, this causes a shift in Loid where he can justify lying for the greater good.
It's the reason he lied about his name and age to fight in the war against Ostania. As in his mind, this was the right thing to do to kill those devilish people that had killed his parents. I think this mentality is partly why he gets so mad when he meets Frankie and Frankie talks about how people are content with someone getting hit if they were told that other person was a cheater with no evidence.
Obviously, because he hates the people he's fighting against and doesn't want to think rationally about them, but also because if he can't think of them as the enemy, then his lies become unjustifiable.
In his head, lying about his name and age is necessary to fight this evil. So, if they aren't evil, then what he is doing is not only meaningless, but wrong.
Luckily, the justification for his lies changes from the killing of evildoers to eventually an objectively more noble goal to create a world where children don't have to cry like he did. And now everything he does or anything he lies about can be justified as long as it furthers his goal of making that world.
I think that's why we got to give leeway for Loid in terms of lying to himself about his feelings for his family because he thinks that any sort of feelings for them would get in the way of this valiant mission and if he fails this valiant mission, then his life full of lies is again not only meaningless, but wrong.
Anyway, thank you guys for watching and peace.
