Why Misreading the Bible Leads to Error

[00:00:09]The final one is we're going to actually look at how to interpret the Bible. This channel, as I've said so many times, is for those who believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. When people misinterpret the Bible, it leads to heresy. I know people like, "You're just saying that cuz you're a Bible-believing Christian." I'm not. [music] I've read it cover to cover a good bazillion times. Sometimes the Bible is just telling us hard things. God wants us to use logic. He wants us to use common sense. He wants us to use the mind brain that God has given us. That doesn't mean everyone needs to be a philosopher or a scholar or a theologian or an apologist.

[00:00:40]The Bible is saying these are historical events >> [music] >> and that you should learn from them.

[00:00:44]Each proverb oftentimes has no connection to the one previous or the one after it. Sometimes that's not the case. Sometimes there's connection, but sometimes each proverb just kind of stands alone. I understand that. What I am just saying it is a helpful, generally speaking, good rule of thumb.
