Limited edition sneakers like the Air Jordan 1 Low Travis Scott colorways are subject to 'backdoor' resale practices where resellers purchase large quantities during official releases and sell them at inflated prices on the secondary market, making it difficult for regular consumers to obtain these items at retail prices despite high stock numbers; this phenomenon is a natural evolution of the sneaker resale market and occurs across various product categories including watches, jewelry, and real estate.

THE BACKDOOR IS WIDE OPEN FOR THESE JORDANS RESELL IS ABOUT TO GO WAY DOWN! DON’T PAY RESELL!Added:
Well, can't say that we are surprised about this. The back door is already open for the exclusive sneakers and again, it is something that has happened time and time again. So, why would this time be any different? Always remember you guys chase your dreams cuz if you don't, one day somebody's going to hire you to help chase theirs. And of course you guys, never stop dreaming cuz a life without dreams isn't really much. Let's go ahead. Let's get into this video.

You guys, today's video is something a little different. I wanted to touch on a topic that of course is something that really we shouldn't be surprised about.
It's happened literally [music] every single time this shoe has ever released. Why would this time be any different? And that of course is we are talking about the Air Jordan 1 Low Travis Scott's, both of the colorways that are coming out. Um and the back door for that shoe is already wide open.
It is already wide open. I swear it is [music] insane. I remember not too long ago we were talking about uh the previous one that released and we were talking about it and everything and of course we were talking about Jumpman Jack's. I remember somebody was defending them in the comments saying they've never done that. They don't do this. There's no way that can happen.
I'm like, you're probably defending the like if you would have went and offended like a store about GR's or something like that. You know what? You had a better chance of sounding because right now these sneakers right here get backdoored the most out of any. And again, it's their shoes they can kind of do with it what they want, but still these sneakers get backdoored. It's already there. It's already happening now. Now again, I think they're dope sneakers, but of course from what I'm hearing going to be a crazy [music] crazy crazy amount of stock. I think one colorway has like 190k, another one has like 140. So like these things supposedly there's a ton of stock you guys. So again, we do not have to panic or anything like that or pay 1500, 1700, whatever. This right here again is just something that it happens all the time. We shouldn't be surprised. [music] It's going to continue to happen cuz whatever now again, resale's not dead or anything like that. It's just adapted.
It's just, you know, evolved. It's something different and it's something that's going to continue to happen just like everything else. Everything changes over time. It's not a good thing, not a bad thing, anything like that. Again, uh people are going to make money however they make money. And again, I wouldn't have probably 95% of my collection if it really wasn't for resellers. So again, I'm thankful for some of them cuz they don't always tax or anything like that.
Now some again that are out there being outrageous, I understand why people are upset. But the ones that are being fair, I don't really care. But this right here again, backdoors wide open is something [music] that unfortunately we all know was going to happen. I mean, we who do we really have a chance at these? Yes, there's more stock or anything like that, but you have to think about it.
These sneakers they make so many people do entries and raffles and everything like that that yes, there may be more stock. Doesn't matter. There's going to be millions and millions of entries. So you really kind of had to pay attention to that as well. It's how many people are actually entering for these and it's a lot. So you have to really pay attention. Like if you look at it, I mean if I'm sure you can go on StockX right now. We're going to look real quick in live time just to see uh Travis Scott, like the tropical pink colorway right now is $1,598 in a 10, 1603 in a 9 and 1/2. I mean, again, don't pay these prices. They're going to go down. Again, they did get pushed back to the [music] 29th, I'm pretty sure.
The shock pink in a size 10 is 1670.
9 and 1/2 is 1649.
Lower sizes are a little bit better at 1,300 basically. But again, we don't have to pay these these prices. They're going to go down. If this is a shoe you guys want, they're going to go down. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. There's too many pairs out there for them not to.
There's too many people already backdooring them. And again, I already am seeing prices way cheaper than that already. [music] So again, I get the list. I know what the prices are. So, that's why whenever I see people like super super taxing, I'm like, damn, that's crazy cuz I'm getting like the same list that you're getting. And, you know, again, I'm trying to buy from you, but good lord. I understand though. Everybody's got to make their money one way or another, whatever, but still, goodness gracious.
I definitely feel like at the end of the day though, this is something that we expected to happen. We knew it was going to happen. It's something that's going to happen every single time. Doesn't matter what shoe it is, anything like that, it's going to happen. So, we have to of course be prepared that even though yes, the stock number says there's this many pair, probably a quarter to maybe even a half of that is going to be backdoored. We have to know that. We have to be prepared for that and act accordingly if it is a shoe that we want. Again, I'll tell y'all, the one that I I have to say has always been really really good, Nigels. Nigels, I don't really see ever get backdoored like that like crazy. Like every shoe.
Like there might be a couple times here and there like the brick by bricks they got stolen off the train and this and that whatever.
But that was something that they couldn't even control. I'll tell y'all, I think right now the only one is semi going to be able to get most of their stock out to the public for a public release will be the Nigel. Other than that, majority of the stock for a lot of these limited drops or exclusive drops is never going to go to the public.
[music] You're going to have to pay resale. It is what it is. It always happens. I hate it, but again, I wouldn't have 95 to hey, maybe 97% of my collection if it was not for resellers.
Now, again, some are crazy. I understand why some people are upset with that, but it's never going to go away. Everything has a monetary value. Everything has a resale value. Everything has that kind of market. So, doesn't matter what it is. Houses get resold. House I live in right now got resold to me. They made like $100,000 off of me. So, happens all the time and that's just what it is. Cars get resold all the time. If you trade in a car, they're going to give you less value than what they're going to sell it for. It's that's just what it is. That's how it's always happened. It's just a part of the business and again, even grocery store.
Grocery stores buy stuff at wholesale price, sell it to you for not wholesale.
So, that's just what it is and we just got to get used to that and sneakers are no different. Watches, jewelry, nothing is literally any different. I think jewelry is actually probably the highest markup of anything. Uh that's absolutely insane if you guys have any jewelry, you'll kind of understand and know. So, it is what it is. Again, like people you'll have like whenever people were selling like gold was at an all-time high, people were buying gold at 80% so they could melt it and make 20% of the profit and that's just how everything has gone. So, everything has that value, everything has that market, but yeah, again, back doors wide open for these Travis. Again, let me know in the comment section down below. Are y'all surprised? Are y'all not? Love y'all.
Appreciate y'all. I'll see you guys in tomorrow's video.
>> [music] >> Peace.
