We CAN’T STOP Purchasing Video Game Collections!Added:
We've been having a big problem here at the store and it's something that we've talked a little bit about recently. But look at all of the shelves. They are all completely full. There is basically no room for anything to fit. And that's a problem because we are constantly getting things traded in every single day. And we have people contacting us through email to sell their collections that need to be mailed into the store.
So, I have a solution for that. All eight of these boxes right here come from you guys. This is two different collections that we purchased recently that just came in the mail. And I just showed you guys the shelves. Those games are not going to fit out there. And it's not just the games on the shelves. We also have this entire thing waiting to go out. this big stack of games. That whole thing is full. All of these right here that are in the process of being cleaned. And these ones, these ones that are also waiting to go out. And all of these and these over here are all disconly games that are just waiting for artwork. We have this huge NES collection, which is not going to fit.
All of the new tradeins from over this last weekend. A box here. A box there.
games that are waiting to be resurfaced here, here, a little bit there, here, here, and here, and a whole little tub here of games waiting for new batteries.
So, as you can see, there's a crap ton of games. And those boxes are filled with them as well. So, what we're going to be doing is another whatnot auction.
We have only done one of these this year so far. Before that, it was like a year and a half or two years since the previous one. But this is a very quick way for us to move a bunch of inventory.
And I know a lot of people don't like whatnot, but just being completely honest with you guys, when we did our last auction, everything sold for roughly 80 to 85% of what we would have priced it at had we tagged it and put it out on the sales floor. So, you can definitely get some good deals. Even if you're not going to buy anything, it's just fun to come and hang out. and it's just kind of like watching a live stream here at the store except people are buying games. So, it's a lot of fun. But that is the plan for all of this stuff here. So, later in this video, we're actually going to be going through all of that and giving you guys just an overview, not only of these awesome collections that we just purchased, but also what's going to be in the auction.
I'm sure there's going to be a few things here and there that we will pull out to put into the store inventory.
We're not going to auction off Mario and Pokémon games because we need those for the store and we can make room for those. But all the random stuff, there's a lot of Switch games in here and lots of PlayStation, Xbox, or some Atari games. Some things will go in bundles.
Some games will be auctioned off individually, but there's definitely going to be some deals to be had and some cool stuff in here. So, we got to get some work done, but later we're going to be looking at everything in these collections.
Are you still here?
>> Oh, yeah.
>> How long have you been here?
>> Um, about 20 minutes.
>> 20? Oh, yeah. I guess it is.
>> And you caught me right at the end of refilling the 50 cent binders. So, both of these are now 100% full again.
>> Again, I like don't even want to close. So, in the last video, we showed you guys we restocked all the Pokémon cards, all the cabinets, and everything. And it was super awesome. If you missed that video, definitely check it out. We had this little box completely full of extra 50 cent cards and I was able to restock.
There was that much and then there was a bunch like shoved in the side as well.
>> Mhm.
>> Plus all of the cheaper cards that got traded in yesterday. Put all those out into the binders. So completely restocked again. These are still 50 cent cards. We cannot fit. We only have two of the green binders which are the 50 cent ones. But these are 100% full. Not a single gap. And that's awesome.
>> Yeah.
>> And Bobby's back today, so he gets to see some cool Pokémon card stuff now, >> Boby.
>> You trying to fit more Genesis games out there?
>> Yeah, >> but they won't.
>> Oh, they will. Oh. Oh, they will >> for Bobby.
>> Yeah.
>> We just looked at the Genesis shelf this morning. There's no room.
>> Well, look again.
>> Did you do something?
>> No.
Did something a couple days ago?
>> Okay. You could maybe fit maybe fit like four or five games here, two or three here, and maybe two or three there.
>> How many do you have?
>> Six or seven.
>> I think it's actually six.
>> That's way more.
>> Four, five, six, seven.
>> 8 9 10 11 12 13.
>> Some of these are glass case games.
>> Whatever, Bobby. They're not going to fit.
>> Some of them are glass case games. Dip it. Just give me like 30 seconds. Well, after I tag, just give me 30 seconds.
>> Some movies.
>> I thought you were going to send a picture to David.
>> No.
>> He was like, "Wow, you're really this time."
>> Yeah.
>> Can you guys handle things for a little bit while I start going through this?
>> What the magic show say?
>> No.
>> Yes.
>> Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah. Go for it.
>> Heck yeah. Let's go.
So we have 1 2 3 four five six and seven all from the same person. So that's all one big collection. And then we also have this one here which is from somebody else. And I think this one should be like all Switch games, but everything else is a pretty good variety of stuff. You can see this one got like pretty busted open. Um but you can already see some variety. So, um, I'm going to try to get everything unpacked and just up on the table here so that I can kind of just show you guys maybe an overview of everything, but then also we'll look at any like special or rare games or whatever and then uh see what we're going to be putting into this auction.
So, here it is all out on the counter. I didn't open this box, which is the other collection of Switch games. Maybe I'll just do that one separately. But here it is. This is nearly someone's entire collection. They did decide to hold on to I think it was like five or 10 games that they just wanted to continue to play. Um, and it was nothing too crazy, but yeah, look at all this stuff. So, we have a huge box of like Atari, Intelvision, um, Odyssey 2. There's a couple Genesis games in here. This is kind of like the like I didn't don't really want it, but there it is. We have some Switch special editions. And then a lot of their Switch games have these like little custom spines into the artwork. Um, so it's got the regular case like this, but then there's like a little sliver of paper with some artwork on the sides there.
So, lots of Switch games. We can always use those, of course. And then big stack of Xbox One. Nothing too crazy in there.
little stack of PlayStation 5 as well.
We have some PlayStation 4 and actually PS4 and PS5 has been selling like incredibly well for us recently. Like we'll get a stack of PS5 like this and then half of it will sell in a day or two. It's been kind of crazy. We have some boxed Atari games which again we have a bunch of Xbox here, original Xbox that I just kind of like stacked on top of the PlayStation 2. And once again, there's like there isn't anything like really crazy in this collection, but there's good stuff. There's like Simpsons Road Rage, Samurai Warriors, Shadow of the Colossus, Ratchet and Clank, Oni Musha, Need for Underground 2, Dragon Ball, Devil May Cry, Dynasty Warriors. So like there is good stuff.
There's obviously a lot of filler mixed in as well, but that's what a collection ends up looking like when you collect for a long time. You just you get games that you don't necessarily need. Um, there's only a couple duplicates as well. Um, some good NES games in here. A good little stack of GameCube, which we don't necessarily need, but why not? We have Wii and PS3.
And then a couple 3DS games and then a bunch of original DS games. Mostly just filler on those. We have some PS1.
And again, some decent titles. There's Final Fantasy, uh, Crusaders of Might and Magic, Siphon Filter, Gran Turismo, Scooby-Doo, some decent stuff. We have three big stacks of Xbox 360. This is what they had the most of. And there's some there's some pretty good stuff in here. We have Silent Hills, Resident Evil, Rayman, we have Conan, Skyrim, some Fallouts, Fable, Final Fantasies.
So, definitely some good titles. PSP is looking really good, actually. And then a little bit of Sega stuff here and a little bit of N64, a couple PC games.
It's all just Fallout and Elder Scrolls.
We have a bag of Game Gear. We have some Endgage games.
We have some 3Dio and CDI. One AmIgga CD32 game, which maybe came from us. Um, we also have uh Lynx game. We have a bag of handheld stuff. Looks like some PSP.
Uh, more Game Gear. And then Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and then some Wonders Swan. Little stack of VA, some boxed Super and N64, Super Nintendo cartridges, and some Super Famicom. And then these are what I would call the bangers from the collection here. So, we have Tomodachi Life, Godzilla for PS4, Simpsons Hitand Run, 3D.Game Game Heroes, Star Fox Assault, and because of the new Star Fox game announcement, all Star Fox games have been shooting up in price. So, this is a nice complete one. Here we also have Deadpool.
Nice. We have Vampire Rain, Evil Dead, Hail to the King, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I think this was the number one most expensive game in the collection. Then, Alien Trilogy for Saturn, and also Samurai Showdown for the Neo Geo. So, pretty cool stuff. And uh if this was you that sent this in, a thank you. We appreciate it. But this is obviously not going to fit on the shelf.
That's why we are doing the auction. So, because there's a lot of filler in here, we can't just run each game individually. What we are most likely going to do is we're probably going to pull out a couple games to sell in the store. Primarily just stuff like the Mario Brothers and Mario Golf and stuff like that. Um, but for everything else, we're going to be doing that auction and we're going to have to put together some bundles. So, you know, like the Mass Effect games, we'll bundle together. All the Halo games, maybe we'll bund bundle together. There'll probably be like just a big bundle of, you know, sports sports games for each console. Excuse Excuse me. These are a little dusty. Um, but yeah, um, the Atari games probably bundle those. So, not every listing is going to be a banger, but there is lots of good stuff as you guys could see. So, um, and the better stuff like the the Alien Trilogy and the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and and that stuff, we're not going to take those out and sell them at the store. Those are still going to be going into the auction. It's just the usually the Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon stuff that we just won't put in the auction. But, pretty much everything else here will be going up. And of course, there is a link in the description if you'd like to join. And uh the the auction is not scheduled yet.
I don't know exactly when it's going to be cuz it'll take some time to go through this, but I'll let you guys know as soon as I know.
>> What? Oh. Oh my god. There's too much stuff here, Ariel.
>> Yeah. Well, get rid of the boxes.
Anyway, speaking of boxes, >> we got something really special.
>> So cool.
>> Nice.
>> I just I love the presentation of the briefcase and everything.
>> Yeah, it works sometimes. That's the word we use. Spiffy, spiffy.
>> Yeah, this is a nice presentation.
>> Very cool. Oh, a Game Boy Light.
>> Mhm.
>> Love to see it. I think we've only ever had one Game Boy Light ever.
>> Really?
>> Yeah.
>> I didn't know that there was a difference between that and the like the pocket >> Game Boy is Japanese only.
>> Oh, >> it's got a backlight.
>> And it's a little bit bigger and it has a backlight.
>> So, it was before its time.
>> Yeah. Way before the SP.
>> All right. Well, >> yeah. way before.
>> Um, >> that is super cool.
>> We'll go ahead and get started. I've got a lot of testing to do.
>> Yeah.
>> All right, get to it.
>> I'm on it.
>> I also just remembered that I'm going to have to resurface the majority of this stuff before the auction as well. Um, in addition to just going through everything and creating the listings, which takes forever. Um, so it's definitely going to be a little while.
This is not something that's happening this week or probably even next week. We will see. Uh, but just to resurface this stuff, if we didn't resurface anything else, it would still take a couple days minimum, and that's like keeping on top of it and swapping out the discs as soon as they finish. So, we'll see, but I'll let you guys know as soon as I have any information about the auction. Here is the second package. This is the other collection. Um, there's actually a couple PS3 3 games in here, which I don't remember, but I guess they must have been included. I just remember that it was Switch games. And so we got a bunch in here, some special editions, and then I would say probably about half of them are sealed, half of them are opened. And I will also say there was another pretty big stack of opened ones that I may be borrowing for a little bit, but I'm going to bring back factory sealed copies, so that's okay, right?
But yes, these are also all going to be going into the auction. And out of this entire collection, there really isn't any like Mario, Zelda, Pokémon stuff.
It's a lot of like uncommon titles. As you can see, I just grabbed this top stack here. Castlevania, Greek, Final Fantasy, Indivisible, Trials Rising, Dangan, Rompa, Shantae, Under Knots, Star Wars Force Unleashed, Mighty Goose, Road 96, and Is It Wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon? So, lots of like RPGs and visual novels and different stuff. And I think that these will do really well to complement the rest of the the auction, which is this stuff.
And there's actually so much. This might have to be split into two auctions. I'm really not quite sure yet. There's also more stuff still coming in the mail that we might want to add to it. So, it might end up being even more than these two collections combined, but we'll see. We just closed. But before we get out of here for tonight, Ariel, I wanted to give a little overview of this that was just dropped off.
>> I helped the guy drag them in. Oh my god, they're so heavy.
>> Three totes here, completely filled with strategy guides.
And look at that. Zeno Saga 2 right there. There's some good stuff in here.
Heck yeah. We sell so many strategy guides so freaking quick. Also, look at this. Double jump books. Our side business.
>> That's not our side.
>> We got a couple of them here. Full Metal Alchemist, Resident Evil Outbreak, File 2, Perfect Dark, Golden Compass, Tony Hawk, Condemned. This is going to be a pretty awesome trade.
I'm excited. Cooper, you didn't even ask about my trade that I just finished with all of the Game Boy.
>> Wow. Rude.
>> We looked at it earlier, though.
>> Yeah, but there's two other things that weren't in that cool suitcase that you didn't get to see.
>> What?
>> Yellow.
>> Ooh, nice >> little Game Boy Pocket.
>> That's not a Game Boy Pocket, but okay.
>> It's okay. It says pocket camera. Game Boy Pocket camera. I forgot one one very important noun. And ta >> Pokemon Game Boy printer. I didn't even know this existed.
>> Japanese exclusive.
>> Yeah, it's really cute.
>> That's awesome. Does it work?
>> Well, I mean it. Yes, you can kind of see where the ink really tested it.
>> Yeah, >> it See, and you can see where the ink really tried to work.
>> Where?
>> It says hello, right?
>> No, it does not.
>> Yes, it does.
Okay. Just cuz. So, you have to shine the light on it just a little bit, but it is there.
>> Okay. Where is it?
>> It's there.
>> Yeah. I don't know, guys. Let me know in the comments.
>> Oh my god.
>> I don't see anything.
>> It It does exist, but um I'm sure there's a way to like put ink back in there or something, right?
>> Um I think it's a thermal printer.
>> Oh, is it? I'm sure there's a way to turn up the heat. Maybe it's the paper.
It's probably paper.
>> Ask me about my garbage.
>> What garbage?
>> I'm bringing home garbage.
>> These are the little things that hold those Pokéball blind boxes, but Ariel's going to put cat treats in them. I'm going to put cat treats in them to um have my cats be enriched because not only am I a filthy gamer, I'm also a filthy cat lady and I live with five cats.
>> Oh my god.
>> What? There's also two rabbits.
>> He also has a million roommates, so it makes sense. Okay, I have three cats at home and a dog.
>> Three cats, but only only Wait, I can do math. Only five eyes.
That's true.
>> Yes.
>> Bobby, how many eyes do you have?
>> I have two eyes. I have three cats. I have a demon. I have an angel. I have a monster who lives under my bed. I have some guy that won't leave me alone, but he says he has squatters rights. And I have my brother.
>> Oh, cool.
>> Yeah.
>> Are those >> All right, guys. Well, thank you for watching.
>> All discreet people.
>> I didn't get We don't have time to do those great ones. This is an outro.
Thanks for watching, guys. We'll see you tomorrow. Bye bye.
