This content weaponizes extreme mortality rates to fuel survivalist anxiety while ignoring the epidemiological factors that prevent such a virus from becoming a global pandemic. It is a classic example of niche alarmism that prioritizes fear-mongering over balanced public health education.

35-50% Kill Rate & No Cure — The Hantavirus Outbreak Preppers Are WatchingAjouté :
All stations, standby for an incoming radio transmission.
>> Over there. You're over there now.
[laughter] Good morning, guys. Bob Ksix UDA uh for the Idaho Preparedness channel.
And uh man, it what a there's a lot of stuff going on this week. I don't know.
We'll get into it in the sit reps. But hey, um [clears throat] brother Jeff is back. Uh we'll get to Jeff in a minute.
He's he's backstage doing all the backstage stuff right now. [laughter] Um oh, what uh what have we got going today? Yeah. Today, uh I'm sure you guys have probably heard about the hunter virus going around. Uh you know, we've always made jokes about, you know, killing rats and getting the haunt virus from the rats. But [snorts] evidently, uh three people have died. [laughter] So, I guess that's like a real thing.
We're going to talk about the haunt virus and then how it affects us as preppers, what we can do. And I want to talk about uh is it is it a real threat?
Is it a scop? I don't know. Um but hey, we'll talk about it. So how we you know how people get it, how they spread it between themselves, it's not Hollywood.
It's not like uh outbreak.
uh 35 to 50% mortality rate. That my friends is freaking scary. That part is scary. There's no vaccine and there's no antiviral care. It is like comfort care.
So that means sorry dude, you're going to die.
[laughter] And we will again talk about what uh what we as preppers uh need to uh need to do uh if this thing gets a little bit more um up there. Uh coming in. Let me let me go into my I have to do this and get to here and then once that all comes up I get to go boom.
There we are. Jeff, good morning my friend. [sighs] How you doing? You're Yeah, we're on.
You have to unmute your >> muted. I know. [laughter] I got this new new system and I've got a mechanical keyboard. So, I'm trying to be uh courteous and mute when I'm typing a lot.
>> What is a mechanical keyboard?
>> One that goes like this so you can hear and feel the clicks.
>> Oh.
Do you like have to watch your hands when you're typing or do you know how to actually type?
>> I know how to actually type.
>> Okay. Well, then >> yeah, >> you know what I need to do? I I just realized this with two of us up here. I need to swap the way that these screens look here. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to put this one up here. Well, actually, that actually needs to go over there. I'm going to do a little bit of reconfig. Whoa. What the hell?
I'm going to do a tiny little bit of reconfiguring here because uh yeah, because that kind of sucks. All right.
And I need my levels. I don't need the overlays in there.
[sighs] Uh yeah. Uh I I just realized this uh looking at all this stuff that you know everything that I used to do it it all used to go this way and and now it's uh it's got to go the opposite way because now the camera points opposite.
Um my interview screen needs to be up here.
Isn't new studios fun? You get to figure all this stuff out over and over and over again.
>> I'm discovering I'm discovering that mind's not really set up to do this because I got to keep looking over here cuz my camera's over here, >> but my system's in front of me. So, yeah, >> it's got me a little screwed up. I got to move my camera.
>> I know. I know. Well, that's what I've got. I've got these new camera uh camera mounts that these things freaking rock, dude. Um they swivel. They move like in a million different ways. Unlike the other stuff that I had kind of built myself. Uh these actually um they actually work. I think I can go back to the publish mode.
We're about 7 minutes away, guys. We've got new stuff. Uh we do have some new stuff going on here. Um on our net screen. I'm going to run to run to there. And uh like I said, we've got uh we've got the net. Um and we're plugged in. We are live right now on HF. Uh we are running on 40 m.
uh 7.110.
This is the Amron uh net frequency, but we also have we've got our new Comstat and they've got a new buildup. Uh so we have uh uh we are live on Comstat. We've got guys checking in over there. And let's see. I uh do you have comstat up by chance?
You want to uh you want to uh take some check-ins or you want to read off some check-ins?
>> See the monitors behind me with the screen savers on?
>> Oh, I'm stats back there.
>> Okay, gotcha. Uh KD9 uh DSS uh is in on SIPNET. N7RBP in on SIPNET checked in on SIPNET. KD8 and K6 UD.
Okay, we've got uh we've got one uh we got somebody on there on uh UHF. [snorts] So, we do have UHF going.
We're going to do the net as we normally do.
Um man, looking good. Looking good.
It looks like we have Wow. 40 40 people in on the net watching this uh right now on uh that would be between YouTube and X and let me run over. Well, can you run over and check uh how many we got on each uh platform there, my friend?
Uh what's the map with the dots? Okay, Tucson Prepper 311. Um he says, "What's the map with the dots on it?" Okay, that is within CommStat.
This is going out live both over the internet and um Oh yeah, we got 5 minutes. Uh both over the internet and um uh and on HF. And all of the green dots are um comstat check-ins for different nets.
Uh there's Amron net, there's the tech prepper net uh that's in there. There's uh let's see ghostn net magnet [clears throat] which are all preparedness nets from all over the country. So you have different people and then each one of those things up top and how do we get rid of you?
How do we get rid of that? Publish.
Okay. Oh my god. Back to the live. Let's just get back to the live and not uh worry about it. Um boom out. Okay, good. Uh, up at the top of the commstat screen up top there, those are called stat reps. And that is just a real super brief how everything is in uh in whatever area somebody happens to be reporting. And there's all kinds of stuff. We went over that kind of last week. Uh, I'm also got Meshtastic open. Um and [clears throat] Meshtastic. Uh that's local comms and that's coming over my my iPhone from uh two or three different um two or three different meshtastic sources that I have.
Ah got to move that. Uh let's see what else do we have. Censorship is wild in America. People are getting paid just to censor p others speech. Yeah. From Mike Hawk.
Uh 892.
And we are getting ready. We got two minutes and then we're going to start the the actual radio portion of the net or the voice uh portion radio net. And I'm going to turn that down so we're not hearing that.
And I might have to uh I might have to mute something else. I don't know. We'll see.
Um man, thank you guys for uh for joining in. This is uh this is very very cool.
Oh, you know what I'm missing? I am missing the big clock that I have that tells me when it's time to to do all this stuff. I need to put a big clock in here. Um, or on the screen somewhere, like a countdown clock.
[sighs] This is what happens. New studio, new everything. Um, but it looks like we've got about one minute left to go. Jeff, what's been happening in your world?
>> Just working and trying to get better.
>> Well, good. Good on you. And hey, I appreciate you uh uh taking time out of your busy day to to uh jump on here and do this. Uh I I've missed you, brother.
>> I've missed being here.
>> Yeah, it's uh this is uh I I think this is fun. It's informative.
Um, yeah, I think we're about we're just about ready to begin the uh the radio portion of the net. So, you could see I've got JSA call is up and running over on the left side or the top of the of your screen there.
Um, Jeff is next to me. We've got uh comstat in there. And if anybody wants to know how to uh run comstat or or whatever, um I'm doing a a few tutorials as much as I can because I don't know. Um let's run to new comments here. Canada in US did gain of function.
Yeah. [gasps] So armchair has already been produced.
I hate that. All right, guys. Um, on the mic today and here we go.
Good morning and welcome to the Southern Idaho Preparedness Net. I'm Bob, K6 UDA, your net control this morning. This net meets every Saturday morning at 0900 hours uh mountain time on the Ksix GDA repeater located deep within the southern Idaho command in Twin Falls, Idaho. This is a digital radio net accessible via wires X room 40448 and YSF reflector 40448, both known as the Idaho Command. It's uh also available on the Hansen but uh 2meter fusion repeater 145.170 and local hams with analog radios can also participate. Uh and that includes echolink and allstar on the KB7 DFP repeater 442.0000.
I'm going to let it drop.
The purpose of this net is the free exchange of information related to emergency preparedness, commonly known as prepping. We encourage deep dives into subjects related to food, water, shelter, personal protection, weapons, survival tactics, medical issues, communication gear, and techniques. I'm looking for subject matter experts to lead discussions on all these various subjects. If you have material you'd like to present or discuss when you check in, please indicate that you have a subject. Although not primarily political, discussion of relevant political, cultural, or religious events are welcome in the context of situational awareness and survival.
[sighs] As part of my personal preparedness plan, practicing for the gathering and dissemination of important news and information to my friends, family, and the local community is what this net is all about. So, as training, we do these sit or situation reports every week. While times are good, um I am using general news stories that I find interesting. I ask everyone here to contribute their own stories or sit reps, especially if they are in or near an affected area of an actual emergency.
Let it drop there for a minute and pick it back up. All right. In order to give everyone an opportunity to be heard, I'm going to do check-ins and comments in the following order. will do local repeater check-ins, Wires X check-ins, YSF check-ins, and live stream comments. You're encouraged to check in with your first name, call sign, location, and how you're getting into the net, i.e. the local repeater, uh, Wires X or YSF.
That being said, do we have any, uh, local repeater check-ins come now?
Kilo Bravo 7 Sierra Quebec Sierra Lance Windfalls Idaho on the 442300 no traffic.
All right, good morning Lance and uh thanks for the use of your repeaters uh for today's net. Um, and I copied no traffic. Uh, looking for check-ins.
Check-ins from uh any of the local repeaters. Come now.
87 UG Scott Twin Falls on the 442 300 repeater.
All right. Good morning, Scott. Thanks for checking in. Do you got uh any information or uh anything for the net?
No information. Uh just uh listening along while we're getting ready to go up for breakfast. So 73 everyone.
All right, my friend. 73. We'll uh talk to you later. Uh looking for check-ins.
Check-ins uh for the Southern Idaho preparedness net. Come now.
All right. Right, let's open it up to Wires X. Wires X check-ins come now.
WXJ J in Los Angeles wires X node covering northeast LA. I have two.
>> All right, Jay, thanks for checking in and uh welcome back to uh version 1.57.
>> [laughter] >> Good to hear you on the net and uh copied that you do have a sitrep. We'll get back to you in the sitrep section.
Uh looking for check-ins check-ins for the southern Idaho preparedness net.
Come now.
>> This is Bravo 7 delta fox papa KB7 canon. No traffic on the 44.
>> All right. Good morning, Ken. Uh, from Twin Falls. I copy no traffic and thank you for the use of your repeater during this morning's net. Uh, looking for check-ins. Check-ins for the Southern Idaho Preparedness Net. We'll open it up to uh uh YSF check-ins.
I think a number of people are trying to get in at the same time. Maybe I've got it. 7 RBP in Medford. Good morning to the net. No traffic.
>> All right, Bob, good morning. Uh, welcome to the net. Got your check-in on comstat also. And, um, thanks for, uh, thanks for being part of the net. Uh, looking for check-ins, check-ins any mode, anywhere for the Southern Idaho preparedness net. This is Bob, Ksix UDA.
All right, KD9 O ZG, uh, good morning.
Uh, got you, uh, got you logged. Didn't get anything on voice. Uh, and good morning. Do you have anything for the net?
No traffic this morning. 89.
>> All right, copy that. And uh thanks for checking in. Uh looking for check-ins.
Check-ins for the Southern Idaho preparedness preparedness net. Come now.
India Mike Fox I lost one New Mexico.
All right. KI5 uh India Foxtrot. Foxtrot I believe. Uh I missed it on on all my screens. Um, good morning. Do you have any uh any traffic for the net?
>> Kilo India Mike Fox.
>> All right, Mike Foxtrot. Foxtrot. Uh, thanks for checking in and being part of the net. Uh, looking for check-ins, check-ins for the Southern Idaho preparedness net. Come now.
All right, hearing none at this time, we're going to get into uh the sitrep section of the net. And uh first we're going to go to uh to Jay out in uh California. Jay, uh you have a sit rep for us.
Hey W6J, good morning. Uh thanks for having me. Idaho. I don't think we have anything like your net out here in Los Angeles. Okay. a couple from the uh United States DOJ, California branch, right?
Okay. Uh the DoD Civil Rights Division has completed a year-long investigation into the admissions policies and practices at the David Gaffin School of Medicine at UCLA and Los Angeles.
break.
Also from DOJ, a large man who possessed a Molotov cocktail during an anti-immigration enforcement protest in downtown LA last year was sentenced today, also dated May 6, sentenced on May 6th to 30 months in federal prison. Break W6CJ continuing three, let's see, dated April 29 also from US DOJ. Three California men pleaded guilty on April 29th to federal criminal charges for throwing rocks, fireworks, and ignited debris at California Highway Patrol officers trapped underneath a downtown LA freeway overpass with a C8 vehicle set ablaze during an anti-immigration law enforcement uh rioting Uh, also we have our uh midterms coming up in a big uh mayoral election in Los Angeles. There's a candidate uh we want to keep an eye on. His name is Spencer Pratt and his uh videos and ads are very interesting. Uh he's somebody to watch.
That's all I have. Good morning CJ.
All right, W6CJ Jay, thank you so much for that. Always uh always a pleasure to have you on the net. And uh like I said, welcome back to uh Wires X version 1.57 where the rest of us are are still lurking.
Um [cough and clears throat] things that I have a couple of uh uh well, you know what? Uh, we haven't heard from Jeff this morning. Jeff, do you want to read the top headlines?
>> Um, sure.
>> Let's see here. Um, >> radio though.
>> Hang on. You don't have radio.
>> All right. Jeff doesn't have Jeff's not on the radio, so he can't do that part.
Uh, top headlines that I have. uh nation in the world. US military fired on Iranian tankers. American forces disabled uh two more Iranian tankers attempting to breach a US blockade of Iran's ports in the uh the latest blows to a shaky ceasefire in the nation.
The Trump DOJ moved to uh revoke citizenship. The administration asked federal courts to dennaturalize 12 immigrants alleged to have obtained citizenship through fraud by concealing criminal acts or by demonstrating allegiance to terror groups after naturalization.
Wow, what a concept.
[gasps] Uh Virginia redistricting was struck down. Virginia voters had recently approved a new congressional map that could have given Democrats up to four additional House seats, but the state supreme court narrowly struck down those maps.
[snorts] And uh Canvas learning platform was hacked and I have no idea what the Canvas learning platform is. It's but it is an online learning platform used by 30 million students worldwide and it was taken offline by a major cyber attack affecting thousands of schools and universities. I'm going to let it drop.
[clears throat] All right. Uh Putin vows victory at a Victory Day parade. Russian President uh Putin used the Moscow Victory Day parade to target NATO rhetorically and vow victory in Ukraine. Euro News from Euro News and the jobs report uh beats the forecast. Hiring exceeded expectations with employers adding far more jobs than the protected projected 65,000 gain.
And then uh we're going to get to some Second Amendment news. This is a big week and you guys know why we're doing Second Amendment news because that's my big thing. And uh hey, if you haven't already visited the uh Idaho 2A News, go over there and give that one a uh a sub.
[gasps] But [clears throat] big uh big week for gun rights. The DOJ has been on the offense. DOJ sued Denver over an AR-15 ban. Justice Department filed a lawsuit against the city of Denver alleging its ordinance uh banning so-called assault weapons, including AR style rifles, unconstitutionally infringes on Second Amendment rights.
Acting AG Todd Blanch said, "The Constitution is not a suggestion and the Second Amendment is not a secondass right." That comes from the US Department of Justice. I like it. I'm going to let it drop for a second.
All right. Uh DOJ sues Colorado over a magazine ban. Just days later, DOJ filed suit against the state of Colorado, challenging a ban on standard capacity magazines as unconstitutional infringement on uh the rights of law-abiding gun owners.
The new ATF director confirmed a major reforms announced. Uh Robert Cicada was confirmed as the ATF director in a bipartisan uh 59-39 Senate vote. Excuse [cough] [clears throat] me.
He immediately signed uh what is called the most comprehensive regulatory reform package in ATF history. 34 new rules aimed at reducing regulatory burdens on firearms licenses and gun owners. And uh uh there's a video on that up on the Idaho 2A News where I go through some of those.
Minnesota passes sweeping gun control.
The state legislature passed SF4067, uh, an omnibus gun control package that includes bans on modern sporting rifles, magazines over 17 rounds, privately manufactured firearms, [clears throat] and certain trigger mechanisms, while also expanding red flag provisions.
And uh finally, let's just say finally, Alaska moves to remove suppressor restrictions. The Alaska Senate Affairs Committee approved SB243, which would remove suppressors from the state's prohibited weapons list. Wow.
Okay. And that is the sitreps as I have it. Does anybody else have any uh any information sit reps from your areas or um anything for the net?
[cough] [clears throat] All right, I guess not. Uh does anybody have any last minute uh check-ins for the net?
Give it a second here.
All right. Uh, hearing none, uh, we're going to go ahead and end the radio portion of the net. Um, we have I think we have four or five uh sipnet check-ins. We actually do have uh one uh one checkin over on comstat uh Seattle, Washington Amazon site is down for many. Hang on here. Let me click on it. Let me go over here and click on this standby.
Oops. What did I do?
What did I just do?
Okay. Yeah. Uh out in Seattle there. I guess the Amazon site is down uh in that area. So that came up as a couple of uh yellows on the sitrep section or the the statrep section over there on comstat.
Um let's see.
Uh yeah, I'm going to go ahead and end the uh the radio portion of the net. And uh I want to thank all of the uh all the stations and repeaters that have carried the net today. And uh I want to see you all back next week. Uh and bring a friend.
[laughter] This is Bob Ksix UDA for the Southern Idaho Preparedness Net returning all of the nodes and stations to their normal ham radio use. Uh 73 all talk to you next week.
Okay.
All right. And we get to put that one down. And uh Jeff, do we have anything any comments or anything that uh we that you want to put out there?
>> No. Um just um [clears throat] only one comment come in while you were talking and that was about the Canvas site being taken down Thursday afternoon. Um Tony P said that he heard that it was possibly from Duke University.
>> Of course. Hey be because it's finals time.
Somebody didn't somebody didn't study for their finals. So, they're gonna take the entire country down as a result.
>> That's kind of crazy.
>> That is crazy. All right. So, now guys, it is time. Let me see. Oh, wow. 68 folks watching here between here and uh and uh X. And then how many do we have on Rumble? Do you have that up?
>> Uh I can. Uh 18 >> 18 on Rumble. Good crowd today. Good crowd. Well, uh let's uh let's run over here to uh to our just our normal BS and screen here. And uh we're going to get right into it. The haunt virus.
Here's the current situation. There was a Dutch ship, uh, the MV Hyundus. Oh, well, hey, that's kind of, uh, um, [laughter] ominous. The Hondas has haunt virus.
Uh, it departed Argentina in early April, early April 7th and, uh, had uh, cases identified as of May 4th. two lab confirmed, five suspected, including three deaths, one critically ill, and three mild. And that's from the World Health Organization.
Uh passengers have dispersed to at least a dozen countries. Uh in the US, they've spread across Arizona, California, Georgia, Texas, and Virginia from NBC News. And the CDC has classified this as a level three emergency response. Do Jeff, do you have any idea what the level three where that is is that like on the Defcon level?
>> I I do believe that it's the same type of ranking system, but I don't know what the level three ranking is >> on that scale.
>> Okay. Well, maybe uh maybe somebody in the in the chat will be able to tell us where that is. And the uh the the World Health Organization currently assesses the global risk uh global public risk as low, which is good. That's that's a good thing.
I'm going to move this just a little bit over here so I can Yeah, there we go.
So I don't feel like you guys are like looking at me offkilter. [laughter] All right, so what is the haunt virus?
Uh Jeff, you want to tell everybody what the haunt virus is? [laughter] Sorry, I was typing and I muted myself so you didn't have to hear it. Um, so there's there's nearly 40 strains worldwide. The Andes strain is primarily carried by a pygmy rice rat typically found in South America.
Then there's the zunotic virus which naturally infects rodents occasionally jumps to humans.
And an Andes virus is the only haunt virus strain known to spread from person to person.
It's already present in Idaho.
Sinre strain carried by deer mice.
So, sounds like there's different strains of it, nearly 40 of them.
>> Andes is the one it sounds like we [clears throat] need to be the most concerned about because that's the one that does spread from human to human.
And it seems like if you don't play with rodents, you might not get the others.
>> Okay. Well, hey, so, uh, don't kiss dead mice. I guess that's the the moral of that story, how it spreads. primary routes inhaling aerosol aerrolyized particles from rodent urine droppings or saliva. Again, don't kiss dead mice um or dead rodents.
Uh [sighs] and you must inhale the virus carrying particles uh released when contaminated materials are disturbed. Rodent bites are not a common route from the University of Florida. Persontoerson contact uh is limited to close sustained contact with a sick person and not through casual contact.
uh and it is not an airborne uh not airborne like the measles or covid and the incuba incubation period is 4 to 42 days after exposure. Holy 42 days. I mean >> you could that that's kind of scary.
>> Yeah, >> that is. Yeah, it sounds like the health the health care professionals are the ones that are going to be most susceptible to getting it because they're the ones that are going to have prolonged contact with the sick person or the family members that are trying to care for him at home not realizing what it is.
>> Yeah. Before we go to the next topic in the chat on Rumble, Serene Pickle says, "Back in the 80s, we were taught to spray down dusty areas with a dilute bleach disinfectant solution before cleaning if rodent contamination was suspected and to wear dusk masks and gloves." Uh, also of note, Mona applied for a hontax patent two years ago.
>> H interesting. Very very interesting.
So yeah, I mean that makes sense. If if you're cleaning up a ratinfested uh area, wear surgical gloves, wear a respirator, I would say, at the very least. And you probably want to put on a face shield uh to protect the eyes and and all that good stuff. Thank you. [sighs] Uh you want to get into the next one?
>> Yeah. Symptoms and progression. Um so in the early stages uh you'll develop a fever, an intense headache, chills, back and abdominal pain, nausea, and blurred vision.
In about half of the cases, disease progresses rapidly to cardopulmonary phase uh which includes difficulty breathing, rapid heart rate, low blood pressure. I definitely don't have this then. Um pulmonary edema uh cardiogenic shock is the main cause of death and can occur within hours of entering this phase.
>> Oo.
So if you have any of those symptoms or all of those symptoms, go see your doctor, I would say.
[cough and clears throat] So from Mika Wolf, uh it says, "We are no longer part of the WHO for a long time so they could kiss his ass." Okay.
Wow. One good thing about the Hunter virus, most of the legal, most of the legal to cross the border never got all the shots. Baked chicken, measles, goosebumps, you know. Um, you know what I'm talking about. Okay. Um, the mortality rate, this is what's freaking scary. The Andes mortality rate is approximately 35 to 50% once the severe complication stage is reached and um compare that to the COVID early mortality that was under 2%.
uh the deadliest infectious diseases outside of the uh fo phoes like Ebola.
>> This is kind of like the black plague.
>> Oh man. Uh you know that that's what makes it scary. And here's what really gets me. Um, is is this, you know, I mean, is this like a one-off real thing that a couple of people were kissing, you know, dead rats in wherever the wherever they were on a cruise ship? [sighs] Or is this the beginning of something that, you know, like uh um what's his name? Uh the Microsoft dude, Bill Gates.
Is this something that like somebody like Bill Gates and uh and Fouchy dreamed up to sell more vaccines and and depopulate the world and and do all of these things that uh and I've I've heard those theories being put out there, but I you know with a 35 to 50% mortality rate if this thing mutates and gets out. Uh that could be that could be very bad bad bad for everybody.
Um let's see. Oh, you want to take the next one?
>> Yeah. So, as of right now, there is no vaccine and no antiviral cure.
Uh it's uh treated through supportive care only using fever reducers like your Tylenols, ibuprofins, IV fluids, uh symptom management, ECMO, which is a machine that takes over your heart lung function, can reduce the mortality from 50% to 20%, but it requires a fully equipped ICU. And uh anybody knows anything about uh ICUs and hospitals, they only have so many ECMO machines to spare. So uh bottom line, early hospital care is the only real option. This cannot be managed at home.
>> Wow.
>> So if you suspect it, go in and get tested for it.
>> Wow. Cuz you're not going to get better by isolating yourself at home. Holy [ __ ] That's crazy. hund dude 117 people on this stream right now. Thank you guys so much. Um please do me a favor. Help uh help me out by hitting the like button. That absolutely cost you nothing. And hit the subscribe if you haven't already hit the subscribe button. [sighs and gasps] Thank you, man. 12 on the stream. This is uh this is very very cool. Probably the biggest crowd we've had on one of these.
Um let's see the prepper scenario. So what if it spreads um with a 4 to 42 day incubation uh period? That means uh new cases are possible for way over a month uh for about almost a month and a half for dispersed passengers. And if it and if it mutates, if for some reason it mutates and [sighs and gasps] becomes one of these, you know that movie out, I always remember that movie Outbreak and uh how freaking scary that could be. And if it and if it managed to, you know, mutate into that, man, uh we could be looking at uh we can be looking at killing off what, a quarter of the Earth's population in a matter of a couple of months and people wouldn't even know that they had it for a month in some cases, >> right?
>> [clears throat] >> And then the carriers. Um I would assume there's people who would be asymptomatic and still be carriers of this.
You're the medical guy. You know, >> I I well I I don't know, [laughter] but I uh I would say >> a dumb cop.
I would say that yes, you could absolutely be a carrier of this without showing any signs or symptoms. I mean, if it's got a 42 42 day or up to 42-day incubation period, that's always a possibility. And there's no guarantee that you're going to get signs, you know, the signs and symptoms of it. But I, you know, as with any illness, if you carry it, you could transfer it. But as we read earlier, not through casual contact. It's got to be through prolonged contact >> at this at this point or from what they're telling us. [clears throat] >> Yeah.
>> Right.
>> Uh it says humanto human uh humanto human contact or uh transmission is limited but documented. So watch for any changes in that pattern. And uh yeah no treatment no treatment plus ICU level care is needed. Hospitals will become if this gains traction even if man could [clears throat] you imagine if just a hundred people contracted this this could wipe out uh ICUs across the country cuz I mean that's the only uh that's the only way or the the only way that you can survive this is in an ICU the supportive care preps. You need oxygen, hydration, fever management, and you need and you need to buy time to reach definitive care.
[clears throat] So, wow. Uh it doesn't sound very rosy, but then again, um what preppers can do? Hey, Jeff, go ahead.
What what can what can we as preparedness-minded people do?
>> Um, start off with rodent control. Seal your home and out buildings. The haunt virus already exists in Idaho through deer mice.
Um, cleaning protocol. Wet your contaminated areas with bleach solution first. Kind of like what Serene Pickle mentioned earlier. Uh, wear an N95 or better mask.
Never dry sweep rodent areas. Again, >> the hell is >> what Screen Pickle mentioned.
>> Okay.
>> Meaning wet it down first. Don't Don't dry sweep it so that you dust up in the air.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
Gotcha.
>> Yeah. Yep. So, pretty much Serene Pickle pretty much nailed that head on earlier.
>> All right. Thank you, Serene Pickle.
>> Yes. Uh, mask supply. Uh N95s and P100s are your first line of defense when dealing with rodent contaminated spaces.
Uh know the symptoms.
Comes on with a flu-l like onset. If someone has exposure history and develops a fever and GI symptoms, so gastrointestinal symptoms, uh get to medical care immediately. Time is critical.
uh medical preps, IV fluids. It's a little hard for us preppers to do without a medical contact. Uh fever reducers, oxygen support, build capability to sustain a seriously ill person while evacuating to care.
Isolation plan.
Do you have a protocol to isolate a sick family member at home? Um we kind of manage that. We have our quarantine [clears throat] system.
>> Well, you guys are like all medically put together. That's something that a lot of us, including me, I mean, we don't really have a a protocol to isolate a sick family member here. I mean, uh, my >> You just open the door and kick them through it.
>> Yeah.
>> Right out into the backyard. [laughter] >> Go sleep in the motor home.
Go sleep in the motor home.
>> I'll check and make I'll check you in the morning. See if you're still breathing.
>> Yeah, >> I guess >> um situational awareness is the last one. Um monitor the CDC and the World Health Organization. If persontoperson transmission rate changes, you will want to know about this early.
Um and then going to the comments back on Rumble. Um Serene Pickle again says that the Hanta virus is not very contagious. Uh there has been approximately 900 cases of Hanta in the US. From 1993 to 2023.
So in 30 years there's only been around 900 cases. So it it's it's not a huge thing yet. M >> it may or may not become a big thing.
But um something that KK7RDO said also was um when rodent urine dries and the wind blows, tiny particles float and possibly pass through gas filters and face masks.
Um and uh let's see.
Nico Wolf suggests going outside and enjoying the sun. Get tons of vitamin C and vitamin D and then you shouldn't have to pop a vitamin pill.
>> Okay, sounds good. So, let me ask you guys out in the uh out in the chat there since uh man, let's see, what do we have? 159 people in the chat today or uh watching this.
Uh do you have at your uh at your property, do you have any active rodent control measures at your property?
And what's your current N95 and P100 respirator supply? I have a few masks here. You You're all set up. I don't even know what a P100 is. What is a >> I actually never I've never heard of a I've never heard of a P100 [clears throat] until today. So, I don't know what a P100 is. I probably do, but I just don't know by the name of P100.
>> Okay.
>> I'm looking that up right now. I mean, I I've got, you know, I've got a couple of those little paint respirators. I I don't know if those actually work. You know, we've got the we got the surgical masks that I guess do next to nothing.
>> P100 is a is a uh exactly like what you're describing. It's a It's a multi-purpose um reusable respirator style mask that has the filters that you can take on and off. I I I wasn't familiar with it being a P100, but that's what it is.
>> Okay. So, that's a P100, guys.
Uh do you have a home isolation protocol for seriously ill family members?
And that's something that I need to work on because, you know, you know, uh, we get the the the average illnesses, you know, the colds, the flu around here. And I know uh my wife and I, one of us will be sick and the other we still sleep in the same bed, which is probably not a great idea.
[cough and clears throat] Um, bear 33 Bearer 333 Goons. So, Gene Hackman died after haunt virus SRV, not DV.
Um, >> I think he's saying not the Andes version.
>> Okay. Not the Andes version.
>> And that is that is true. That is true.
That is what him and his wife both passed with.
>> Okay.
Oh, I thought she did and then maybe he just died of whatever. But I guess that would make sense cuz he was kind of uh what? He had dementia or something.
>> Yes.
>> Okay.
Okay, that makes sense. All right. And what is your plan if the nearest hospital is overwhelmed or inaccessible?
Wow. I I mean I I What do you do at that point? I don't know. Um because it's at you know I think if to me and [clears throat] this goes back to situational awareness basic situational awareness if we start seeing more cases uh throughout the country I think at that point you need to start looking at uh what is it called prophylactic care or or uh um you know, you you're not going to you're not going to expose yourself to more public contact than you absolutely have to.
I don't know what you do, you know, about going to work and and doing all the daily things, going to the grocery store. Well, going to the grocery store, that's kind of easy. Um, and it doesn't really look all that all that out of place anymore is you'll now see people walking around with surgical masks. So, you know, hey, maybe you put the surgical mask on or you put the N95 on and you uh you kind of go about your business. Um, the rubber gloves might look a little bit odd.
I you know just saying oh I got a thumbs down [laughter] who's who's got a thumbs down uh trying to stay alive but 34 thumbs up guys. Uh there's 156 of you that are on this stream. I would love to get 156 thumbs up before the end of this uh uh live stream. This that would be insane. That would be so cool. And then you guys over on Rumble, please again uh thumbs up this video. It excuse me. It helps this channel more than you know. It really really does.
Uh, so please, and it doesn't cost you a it doesn't cost you a thing. A click.
Boom. It's done. Thank you.
[clears throat] Um, so the good news.
Whoa. Hang on here. What did I just do?
What did I just do?
>> Zoomed up. There you go.
>> I don't see how that does that. It's not supposed to do that. It's supposed to all be locked in so I can't screw things up just like that. [gasps] Um, the good news and the bad news. The good news is the experts are fairly confident that this specific outbreak will not go pandemic. The virus is extreme lethality is actually its own limitation. It kills people way too fast to spread efficiently. And even on a cruise ship with hundreds of people in close quarters, transmission r remained rare and limited to people with the closest contact.
Um [cough] [clears throat] that said, the infrastructure cascade failure question is exactly the right prepper framing. Yeah. Uh if this mutates, if things start to get, you know, like the movie Outbreak, uh we I think I don't know, Jeff, what do you think? Uh, I mean, how would you deal with, you know, you're you're a paramedic, you know, um, if the hospitals are starting to get overwhelmed, what are you thinking at that point?
>> There's not really anything you can do.
If I mean, really, if if the hospitals get overwhelmed, the best thing you can do is exactly what it talked about earlier. um stay hydrated, maintain fever control, you know, make sure you make sure you're stocked up on your Tylenol and your ibuprofen to try to fight the fever.
>> And you know, I I just hope that the folks that do come down with signs and symptoms of it are are healthy and their immune systems are intact.
>> Yeah.
>> Um because that's really the best thing is your body being able to fight it off.
I can tell you that I are not one of those people right now. I I not healthy and my immune system sucks.
[clears throat] So, um but yeah, that's if the hospitals get overwhelmed, it's this is a different this is a different animal than the pandemic because it's a different treatment and it requires more specialized things that there's less of to utilize. So, >> wow.
>> You get into you start talking about things like ECMO doing the the the heart and lungs for you.
>> Mhm.
>> Like I said earlier, there's only so many of those.
>> Yeah.
[sighs] Man, I mean, it's kind of crazy. I'm glad that the uh the transmission rate right now is super super low and the the experts don't feel that it's like a it's time to panic and and run run things up three notches.
>> Yeah. And and I just want to say just based on some of the comments that that have gone through that I'm not going to dignify on the air, but the purpose of this show that we're doing today is to not gossip and ramp this up and and hype it like we're deathly afraid and we're spreading fear. It's more so informational so that you're aware of what the signs and symptoms are, what the possible treatments are, and just to keep your head on a swivel and pay attention. I don't think that it's time to be worried or freaked out about this yet. I think it's time to pay attention to what the hospitals are doing [clears throat] and and keeping your eye on that kind of news. the hospital starts to get overrun and it makes it onto your local news, then you might want to be a little concerned about it.
So, we're not trying to spread fear and hype here. It's just a matter of it's justformational >> about some stuff that we gathered up the data to present so that everybody is aware.
This is a preparedness show and and the idea of preparedness is you are prepared before something happens. It's not, you know, it's not uh to to go the sky is falling uh and and everybody's going to die. Well, I mean, everybody is gonna die eventually someday, but that's not the purpose of this live stream. It's not the purpose of this entire channel.
This is about getting prepared, doing what you can to be prepared in case these things happen. Now, we have this outbreak. It it has happened but good for us the uh the rate of transmission is very very low right now.
I want to walk through two types of scenarios and let me uh I'm going to go through scenario A.
We've got like it is a very limited but sustained spread. Let's say that's the most likely thing. There's a handful of new clusters that emerge.
Let's say 4 to 6 weeks as that 42day incubation period window now plays out.
Uh there's no pandemic, but there's enough cases to uh that trigger something in the health care world. The health care strain. Every serious honorus case will require an ICU level care and potentially ECMO. What? What is ECMO? I don't know.
uh even 50 to 100 serious cases spread across a region. Let's say that all happens in Arizona or California or here in Idaho. Well, our health care system here in Idaho, we are the entire state is considered rural and we have no level one trauma centers and we have very very limited ICU beds in this state. So, man, if that happened, if we had 50 to 100 serious cases here in Idaho, that would be a uh an unmitigated disaster here in California, I think they could probably manage it. Uh especially down in Southern California.
Um but even 50 to 100 serious cases can spread across a region and they could saturate ICU bed capacity uh especially like in rural areas like here um and uh there's no surge room for that aviation and travel scrutin scrutiny passengers from 23 nationalities were aboard board the MV Hondius.
If a second if secondary cases appear on flights, expect health screening at international airports, uh potential route disruptions, airline staff calling out sick or refusing certain assignments.
Guys, if if this starts spreading or it mutates um and you start seeing the flights that get diverted or cancelled or you start seeing, you know, like huge precautions going into airports, in and out of airports and I I don't have a medical background, so I rely on things like, you know, like that movie Outbreak from a million years ago where you've got a guy who's coughing on the airplane flying back to the United States and all of a sudden uh you know everybody on the plane is now potentially getting that virus because that is a closed air system. kind of the same thing with a cruise ship inside, but not not as much.
Uh, international trade friction. If key port nations uh start implementing screening or quarantine protocols, cargo movement will slow. It won't collapse, but it'll it'll create enough delays in goods and services that are already on that just in time delivery uh schedule.
3 days, guys.
A uh uh the grocery stores right now, they run on a just in time resupply.
Three days of no supplies coming into any grocery store in this country. and the the store shelves will be bare.
That's uh and that's by design. That's to keep these these grocery chains from having to have huge quantities of goods to sell.
And that's especially important with the uh you know with fruits and vegetables and meats and and meats, poultry and and fish.
Um, and then, uh, you want to go through the B scenario, dude?
>> Yeah. I want to read a one comment that popped up because this is one that I've heard in several places.
>> Okay.
>> Um, >> you know, the World Cup is supposed to be here this year >> and, uh, with healthy looking people and an 8week incubation period, that that does cause problems. That that's that's an issue that they're concerned about.
>> Oh, yeah. [clears throat] I would be concerned.
>> Um, >> yeah, absolutely. Um, so scenario B, this one's a little more severe. Uh, mutation or increased transmissibility.
It's low probability of it happening, but it has a high consequence if it does.
>> This is the true the true SHTF lens. If the Andes virus were to mutate toward easier persontoperson spread, which it doesn't do now, >> think pre-ymptomatic shedding like CO 35 to 50% kill rate becomes catastrophic at scale. Walk your Oh, yeah. Let's see.
See, so we're going to walk through the cascade a little bit here. um the health care system that will collapse fast and we kind of sort of saw that during co >> what is ECMO >> ECMO that's the ECMO [clears throat] machine that does the the heart lung >> it's the heart lung bypass so it does it does your heart pumping and your breathing for you >> they use it a lot during um bypass surgeries >> uh I don't believe I had ECMO but yeah um ECMO machines are rare uh hence there's not many and they are they require trained specialists to run them. A 35 to 55 35 to 50% mortality rate with no treatment means that hospitals merely become triage centers almost immediately. Staff absenteeism due to the fear alone just like it was with CO it's 30 to 40% as we saw early in CO and that was with a 1 to 2% mortality rate. So it could be worse. Uh transportation, truck drivers, rail crews, port workers will start calling off. Key to efficient transmission is shedding the virus in the preymptomatic phase. Uh if that changes with a mutation, essential workers become both vectors and victims.
Fuel delivery, food distribution, medical supply chains all depend on a functioning trucking workforce. Um supply chains just in time grocery supply has roughly 3 days of buffer on the shelves. Pharmaceuticals, medical oxygen, IV fluid manufacturing are heavily concentrated. Look what happened with the hurricane with the IV facility down in North Carolina that got wiped out. I mean it it it >> it flattened hospitals all over the country because of one facility. Um, a disruption at even a few facilities creates national shortages fast. I just I just brought this up and here it is.
Remember the IV fluid shortage after Hurricane Helen knocked out the [laughter] Baxter plant in North Carolina? That was that was one facility in one storm and it affected the entire country. Um, power grid grid operators require minimum staffing levels to maintain safe operations.
Significant workforce absenteeism at utilities, even 15 to 20%, creates cascading failure risk, especially during high demand periods. There's no grid means no fuel pumps, no refrigeration, no communication infrastructure.
I mean, no power, you got a problem.
>> Government and emergency services, police, fire, and EMS operate on thin margins already. A high mortality respiratory illness with a 4 to 42day incubation window would make contacting I'm sorry would make contact tracing nearly impossible and it puts all first responders in an impossible position.
Um rural Idaho specifically, these are Bob's notes, so we'll talk about Idaho even though I'm far away from there.
>> [laughter] >> Um, rural Idaho specifically, we're already medically underserved. The nearest level one trauma center for most of southern Idaho is hours away. Any surge situation that overwhelms Boise, Twin Falls, or Pocutello, medical capacity leaves rural Idahoans completely on their own. This is exactly why the prepper community exists.
>> Yep. And that's the that is the the whole reason this channel exists. That's the reason I do the the Southern Idaho preparedness net. Uh it is it's a resource for you guys around the country and around the world, but it's a it's a communications and communitybuilt deal here where I live. uh because we're all, you know, we got a bunch of ham radio repeaters connected and it's building building that community that is staying in touch and ready to help each other if something happens here.
Um, hey, uh, I just want to 199 people watching right now. Can Can I get over a hundred just if 50 more of you guys give a thumbs up?
We got a 100 thumbs up on a live that would freaking be insane. Thank you so much. uh 200 people over here. Uh there's Rumble, there's X, there's I mean guys, this is this is awesome. Thank you.
Um and let us know what you think in the comments. You know, what do you think about these streams? Uh do you like this? Do you want to see something else in the format? Is this the perfect format? Um, let us know. And if you haven't already hit that subscribe button, do it right freaking now.
[laughter] [gasps] Ah, [sighs] that's beautiful. That's beautiful. Um, oh, [sighs] how does that do that? It keeps screwing that thing up. I got to lock that. Uh, I have to lock that one down. And I got rid of the thing that that locks it.
So, I don't know how I do that now. Let me just Where's the one? Overlays. Where's my overlays? There we are.
Nope. That ain't it.
Uh, camera effects, sound effects, show preferences. Nope, that ain't it.
Crap. [laughter] All right, you guys have to deal with uh with everything screwing up.
So, it is what it is.
Um, I want to lock.
Okay.
Um, what else? I am looking over here on the uh on comstat. I'm not really seeing. Okay, we got we've got another uh checkin over there on comstat. Thank you. And I don't see anything.
I don't see any checkins here on um on Meshtastic. But hey, I'll keep opening Meshtastic for these things. Go back to our go back to our twoshot.
And uh where's where's everything? All right. Um anybody else have any uh any suggestions, any information for us? And I think uh cuz you know, yeah, we're we're at about an hour and 20 minutes. So hour and a half. Let's uh let's go through some of the comments and uh and talk about those. Jeff, >> knock yourself out. Have you seen that thing flying?
>> What?
>> YouTube comments are nuts. The YouTube comments are nuts.
[clears throat and laughter] Can't even come close to keeping up with that.
>> That's awesome. I will I will mention I will mention one comment that did fly by and and I'm gonna apologize to Pamela because I'm trying to scroll to find it and I'm probably going to misquote it.
Um but it was from Pamela Crabtree and it um it talked about restoration of old vehicles and down in the south apparently they have a lot of issues with old vehicles left in barns that you know have all kinds of mouse nests, rodent nests, >> things like that. and they have issues with uh the restoration of them. So, it's uh common, I guess, for them to always wear respirators and things like that when they are um >> doing restoration on the old vehicles.
And I'm like, you know, that's a good thought. I never really thought about what that would entail. I mean, typically you wear a respirator anyway, but I mean, when you're sanding vehicles for paint prep and whatnot, but >> yes. Yeah.
>> How many times have you gone into an old barn and dug through some old crap and cans and whatnot without even thinking twice about it and stirring up the dust?
>> Uh, you know what? Here's one here. I'm going to put that in the uh the destroyer risher boxes of ticks. Come on, man. It's a setup is always what? Okay, whatever.
But Pamela said in Tennessee, and Pamela is such a wealth of information, man. I I I wish she would just just break down and come on the show and be part of this. Um, in Tennessee, they had bait packets dropped from planes. Holy crap. Uh, dropped on farmland. And that's the regular stuff that goes on in Tennessee.
>> [sighs] >> Holy crap. That's insane.
Yeah, the uh the um um the comments are flying today. I love this. This is this is cool. Uh is haunt virus transferable to birds?
And I do not know that comes uh maybe somebody could do a quick little uh search on that and answer this question.
Is haunt virus transferable to birds?
Now here's you know two things that I just noticed yesterday around here. Uh coming home from running around yesterday there was a uh a dead hawk in the in the roadway. happens, you know.
But last night, I was going out to feed horses and I noticed there's a dead bird out in my uh out in my driveway. So, I'm going to have to go out and clean that up. But yeah, there again, um you know, do I want to go picking up dead animals?
And then I shoot uh we have things called rockchucks out here and they're they're rodents but they're big. They are freaking monstrous.
uh five to 10 lb uh they're as big as a cat in some cases and they dig huge holes and so I shoot them because I don't want my horses uh you know falling in these holes breaking a leg and then I got to put a horse down. Um and uh that's that's why you know I started several years ago I started wearing gloves because you know I was like yeah you know what I really don't want to touch the uh um touch the the rock chucks because who knows maybe I get the haunt virus. Uh [sighs] stock up on bleach tablets. Oh, good idea. Supposedly a single strand virus which Ivormectin can work on.
Um, and I haven't heard that.
Uh, anti- anti-PC.
Um, do you have something that you can uh you could post up there in the chat that would uh that would kind of back that up at all? That's uh that's interesting because we did uh actually Mrs. uh Kasich UDA.
She went with a bunch of friends to go visit one of their somebody's mother in Arizona and they went into uh they went into Mexico and she picked up a bunch of ivormectin and stuff just so we have it.
We got it here.
[clears throat] And that would be really interesting to know if that works on it.
Well, do birds eat rats? Um, no. I as far Well, some birds, yes, do eat rats.
>> Crows eat rats. Uh, the hawks.
>> Crows eat anything dead.
>> Yeah. The the uh the um uh the vultures, they eat rats. Hawks eat rats uh and m and mice all the time. So yes, uh birds eat rats. And then is it transferable from one species of bird to another species of bird? Who knows? Uh large cruise ships use 250 250 tons of fuel per day. Um [laughter] wow. That's uh that's an interesting uh [sighs] that's an interesting concept. [snorts] Uh don't care how much fuel is used.
Global warming is a lie.
Um is it transferable to pets? Corona was transferable to dogs. The untold truth.
Um yeah. I don't know. That's that's an interesting uh interesting comment. And uh yeah, parked vehicles will draw for a long time. Uh they will draw rodents, especially in the winter because the rodents are looking for a nice safe warm place to build their nests.
Just is what it is. Um the Max talked about it. Don't know who the Maxs are.
Um, and to all those that laughed at us tinfoil wearing hat preppers. [laughter] Yes. Thank you. Thank you. [laughter] Good luck. Good luck to you. [gasps] That's freaking awesome. Swimming pool tablets are easy to Yes. Uh that is a basic chlorine. You could drop that in it or break off hunks of it, put it in a bucket, you know, like a 5gallon bucket of water and make yourself up a nice chlorinebased uh solution to uh to clean things with.
You can uh put that solution in a spray bottle and you could spray stuff down.
Like Jeff was saying, um, you want to spray down if you've got, say, a rat or a ratinfested place, uh, room, house, whatever. [sighs] Spray that stuff down before you sweep it up. And, um, what a fear porn title.
[laughter] Hello, we live on a reservation. We got in contact with mouse droplets one day.
One guy there with a virus, but he was taken to the hospital and got better. Good for him. Wow. So, that could have been may have been haunts.
Um, did you find out from this guy?
Was it virus? And uh and then where yeah um from antiseptic or anti-PC um Ibankton has demonstrated a broad antiviral activity.
Let me um singlestranded RNA viruses.
Haunted is listed as a side effect of the Cshots. Oh the the uh Wow.
Okay. The COVID shots. The uh the cruise could be a FF excuse.
>> False flag.
>> Oh, yeah.
Yeah. I Hey, and and I've heard those I've heard those theories and I you know what? I don't say I don't discount them at all. Um, but I'm not going to promote them here right now at at least at this point. Um, at this point the the experts are telling us, hey, very low transmission rate uh very low probability of this being uh the next big pandemic.
[sighs] But we as preparednessminded people want to be prepared in case this one or the next one happens to actually um start taking out swaths of uh of people.
I don't know.
Uh Pamela says uh dogs, cats, uh insects and other animals cannot serve as a source of havirus infection.
Good to know. And what did Bill Gates meant when he said that the next pandemic happens? When the next pandem pandemic happens, people will listen.
Yeah, of course. Bill Gates said that because Bill Gates is evil. Bill Gates.
[gasps] Uh, he wants to reduce the population of the Earth, you know, so he can go live in his freaking uh, underground bunker in Hawaii.
>> Here's one of the most important comments by our good buddy Sierra Slim.
>> Oh, >> funny how all this stuff pop funny how all this stuff pops up when election time rolls around.
>> Oh, yeah. [laughter] And uh good morning, sir. Good to see you in the chat.
>> Yes. Uh Terry, good to see you. Thank you. Uh thanks for being here. Didn't hear you on the radio, though. Um used car sales are not doing so good.
Cars are sitting there brand new. If you have Hunter virus in it, is it a good deal to get a good deal on that car or vehicle?
[sighs] I don't know. [clears throat] Um I guess if it's cleaned up, why would it be if you cleaned up a vehicle that had uh that had mouse droppings or whatever in it? Uh, is that is that still bad? And here's a question that I have with the mouse droppings and and everything.
Is it the droppings? And how long does the haunt virus remain active and transferable from um from mouse droppings, you know, after they you would think after they dried up at 48 hours a month, whatever, that they're now just hard little pellets. You sweep them up and you go on with life. I don't know.
What do you uh what say you?
>> I I don't have any idea how long it would live in that scenario.
>> Yeah.
>> Um there is a question in here. Is it transmissible by mosquitoes? I did search that. Says unlike [clears throat] other other diseases, haunt virus does not spread through insect vectors like ticks, fleas, or mosquitoes. Nor is it transmitted from person to person or between domesticated animals and humans.
Now, I'm not totally buying that answer.
That's just a Google search because we do know it's transmissible from person to person with prolonged contact.
>> Yes, >> somehow. I don't think they know how, but it obviously is. So, I don't know that I believe that answer completely.
So, >> I >> the answer is it could be transferred by mosquitoes. Who knows?
>> I would say that >> I don't think they know enough to get the answer right now. I would say pellets of death. [laughter] [gasps] >> Yes, >> that is awesome. You guys, you guys freaking rock. And uh you know what? We are so freaking close. 82 thumbs up so far. Please get me to 100. 100 thumbs up. You can do it right now. Boom.
And then we're gonna we're we're going to blow out of here in a couple of minutes, I think. Um, but I'm just enjoy Are you enjoying the comments today, >> Jeff?
>> Yeah. Yeah, a little bit. A little bit.
There there's a little bit of banter that I could do without, but yeah, for the most part, the comments >> for the most part, man, there's great questions.
>> Steve Steve 00 says, "Does the wind activate the mousedropping particles or indoors? It's fine. Okay. So, I agree with Steve. I think we got the solution.
Stay away from blowing dusty rodent droppings. And the answer is we just stay inside for the rest of the year.
>> Okay.
>> Works for me.
>> That's where we're going at.
>> Works for me. We just stay in. Everybody stay in your houses. Nobody go outside.
>> He says good. He says goodbye summer 2026.
>> Shelter in place. [laughter] Go ahead. shelter in place right now.
We're all going to die. [laughter] [sighs] What if an animal has rabies?
I think uh you know, you probably want to stay away from an animal that has rabies.
If you got a raccoon on your back porch and he's foaming at the mouth, uh, you probably just want to just kill him.
[snorts] Put him out of his misery and put the remains in a baggie and get rid of it. Bury it.
Um, yeah.
Uh, let's see. I have heard there is a cruise that has a stomach virus on it.
I would imagine every single cruise has some kind of minor little virus or contagion that is running around. And I don't care how much they clean it or whatever. People get on, you know, you got what, 5,000 people get on and off this ship every seven days or five days or whatever the the cruise is.
And to [clears throat] think that every single one of them is healthy um is I I think that's foolish. That is a foolishness to think that.
Um [sighs] I don't know, man. We're at 86 thumbs up and I just want to get to 100 and then then you guys can get on with your you could get on with your Saturday.
[laughter] But until then, you're locked in here.
We're sheltering in place till it hits a 100 thumbs up. Can [snorts] you do that for me right now? [laughter] If you're watching on your TV at home, uh, and you you're watching YouTube on your TV at home, click the down button.
It'll bring up that little menu. You can cursor over to the right to the little thumbs up thing and you can go thumbs up and it's done. [sighs] Yes, thank you. I see a few floating in here.
Uh people bring food on cruises, too.
Now, do pe do people actually bring their own food on cruises? I don't know if most cruise lines even allow that.
I think I think the cruise lines kind of have a prohibition of outside food coming onto the ship. Um they want to control, you know, they control their own uh their own food contamination protocols and and everything else. I don't think they they allow us to do that. Uh because I know they don't want you to bring your own booze on the ship cuz they want to sell it to you or they want you to drink their booze. Uh they I don't believe and I don't know if they'll let you on with your own wine.
Um, I guess you know if you're uh if you've got the 1934 Chateau, whatever. Um, and I'm not a wine guy.
Um, maybe they'll let you on with that bottle, but they're not going to let you crack it open in your room and [laughter] and uh and keep it in there. Um, you're gonna have to, you know, give it to the Mater D who's gonna serve it to you dinner one night, I guess. Um, Jeff, you got anything? I I see you're madly typing at people. And uh, >> good thing I can type without washing my fingers.
>> Uh, I can't. And I'm like I'm like one or two fingers on each hand. That's it.
That's all I can. Uh, so uh, Ender Ender with Smith says no booze.
No booze.
[laughter] [gasps] Andre Andre >> uh, Steve uh, 00T again says the UK prime minister would say that we are misinformation conspiracy theorists.
>> Really? We we are for just putting out the information.
>> The UK prime minister would say that we are.
>> Oh, well, of course.
>> Why not? Why not?
>> Because, you know, I could care what he says about as much as I can care what right now the governor of Idaho says.
The uh >> stay home and play the harmonica. Yeah.
According to Pamela.
>> Oh, yeah.
Stay home. Play the harmonica. I love it. I love that. Bring your own booze.
Um, >> take the ferry.
>> Take the ferry. Oh, okay.
>> Bring your own booze. Take the ferry.
>> Take the ferry. Yeah, there you go.
There you go. Take the ferry. Well, we don't have uh we don't have any fairies here in [laughter] Idaho. We have Glenn's Ferry, which is uh is a nothing little town, but we don't have any actual fairies.
Um Oh, 95 thumbs up. We're almost there, guys. You can DO IT. YOU CAN DO IT.
>> Andrew Andrew says he sent the prime minister an invite to the show.
[laughter] That is beautiful. And guys, hey, [clears throat] if you haven't already uh visited the Idaho 2A News if you're a 2A kind of person, if you believe in your rights, um, go visit the Idaho 2A News and give it a give that one a a subscribe and a thumbs up. And if you haven't already, hit the subscribe here.
I don't even know what to tell you. I'm I'm shocked and dismayed because you can help us grow into the jogger knot and get all the correct information and we won't be what the hell was that?
I don't know. [clears throat] Um yeah.
[laughter] Uh, if you do renovations in an older house, you could stir up uh some rodent droppings and urine. Yeah, you definitely could. I think that's why a lot of people are they're using the respirator especially if you go into uh you go into some of these old farm houses and stuff and people you know they start stripping everything and it I think it's just uh it's just good common sense to uh to wear a respirator, wear gloves when you're doing that stuff. Um, why uh why risk it? Why take chances?
[sighs] That's what we do. We're preppers. We prepare for bad stuff to happen. And so it doesn't affect us as much as say the people who have a six-pack of beer and a bag of baloney in their uh refrigerator.
And when there's a hurricane or a uh tornado or a fire and they tell people, "Hey, either shelter in place or bug out. Um they've got nothing and they can't ride out a storm." Um or Yeah, that's the big one is a big storm. They can't ride it out because well, they uh they don't have any they don't have any freaking supplies. They just go through life going.
I don't know.
I don't know. 97 thumbs up, guys. We are three away.
>> Three more.
>> Three more.
>> Away.
>> And then you can all go home. [laughter] Otherwise, nobody's leaving. Nobody's leaving till WE GOT A 100 THUMBS UP.
[laughter] Jean Hackman and his wife died of a mutated form of havirus.
Oh, and was it a mutated form or was it um was it one of the strains one of the known strains? I don't know.
Um [sighs] man, good uh good discussions today. Yay.
Woo. We hit it. 100 thumbs up on a live.
Thank you. That's a new record, my friends. [laughter] That is awesome. Yes. Be sure and like, subscribe, share. According to Pamela right there. Boom. You guys did it. You guys put us over that hundred. And um and I want to thank you all for being here.
Ah, [sighs] just cur I'm just curious, Bob. Just curious.
>> Okay.
>> What channel are you on? What channel are you on?
>> We are on the Idaho Preparedness channel right now.
>> Okay.
>> This are Are you Did I not say that?
>> I don't No, no, no. I'm just wondering if you put it on the right channel.
Remember, we did this once.
>> Oh, you got to be kidding me.
>> I'm just wondering. I don't know. I I'm I'm not saying that you did. I'm just asking.
>> This is on the K6 UDA channel.
>> Well, no, hang on. Hang on.
No, it it's uh this should be this should be on the Idaho Preparedness channel.
I was just watching it on It's got to be because I set it up to go to the Idaho Preparedness Channel.
>> Okay. Just making sure. That's all >> I am.
>> I wasn't trying to scare you. I just was curious.
>> Almost freaking almost freaking Hey guys, >> are you watching this?
>> It is. It is on the [laughter] It is on the Idaho Preparedness channel. I just went back in to go back in there. Yeah.
125 online watching live right now.
>> It's Mine says 159 live.
>> Okay. Well, we'll go with yours. Yours sounds better than mine.
>> Yeah. And then what about 20 over on Rumble over there and I don't know how many on.
>> No, Rumble's Rumble's kind of pled off a little bit. We're only we're down to 11.
>> Oh, well that kind of sucks. But [sighs] hey, you know what? [clears throat] This is a guys, this is a small channel and we really thank you guys for uh getting on here, checking this out, sticking with us. Do you have any preparedness topics you want us to cover because that's what I'm open to. I want to I want to cover the stuff that you guys want want to see. So, put them in the chat. We'll uh we'll hang around for another couple of minutes because now we're over a hundred thumbs up and uh and we're about we're about ready to to wrap this one up. Oh yeah, it's uh 10:30. We've been going for wow an hour and 48 minutes.
[laughter] Pretty pretty good. Um let's see. Andra Andre says, "Excuse me. Probably this was hit."
Um, espionage. It went right or wrong.
The German couple who died and the other, what did they do for work?
Waiting on details. Oh, were they German? I I I didn't hear what nationality they were. So um and I don't think we said anything about what national because they died on the ship.
Oh, well, and the ship I you would imagine if you had three people die on a ship of a haunt virus that they would have locked it down and you know because they did that before I remember they they locked a ship down I think for uh for COVID or something. I'm on the Idaho preparedness channel. Good. Thank you, Mika Wolf. Um, I uh I just wanted to uh to make sure I'm sitting here looking at something and I see that K6 UDA uh channel logo up behind me.
Rice and beans.
Oh, rice and beans won't save your ass.
Deny your flesh, for the kingdom of God is with you. Well, I can't I can't argue with that. But I will tell you that I know a guy who knows a guy.
But no, seriously, we don't know when the Lord's coming to get us, but we do know that we should not be uh we shouldn't subject ourselves to being uh put into FEMA camps for food or having to do what a uh what a government tells us to do. We should be free people to do and live our lives as we want. And if something bad happens, we should be prepared to feed ourselves, feed our families, and help our communities. That's uh that's my take on it. And when the Lord comes to get me, I'm good.
[sighs and gasps] Should we get N95 masks before they're sold out or hold off? Okay, my personal opinion. co taught you that.
>> Yeah, I think uh I think buy your supplies while the getting is good. Why would you hold off on buying on buying possibly needed supplies? And I'm not saying you need cases of freaking masks, but to get a a couple of boxes of masks that you can have, you put them away and if you never have to look at them again, beautiful. Perfect. And if you do have to look at them, if you do have to give them out to your family and your friends, um you've got them. They you Hey, I remember during co uh we had toilet paper. My kids did not.
and the great toilet paper shortage of 2021 or whatever 2020 or 2021. Uh my kids were calling me going, "Dad, do you have any toilet paper?" And I'm like, "Use a rag. Use a rag. [laughter] Get it."
No, I gave him toilet paper.
But I had it. I had it here to give. So, yeah, don't hold off. If you can afford it, if you can uh if you can get it now, if you can afford it, get it before the the Christmas rush. I'm like that with ammo.
I buy ammo. I keep ammo in stock because I don't want it to run uh I don't want it to run out and then everybody's panic buying and then I don't want to get into the panic buy with everybody else and I won't I don't have to.
>> Do you do you reload?
[sighs and gasps] >> I don't really reload anymore. I was kind of reloading a little bit, but I I haven't for I haven't for a number of years. I have a re I have got a reloading kit and I haven't even set it up here. So, no.
>> Wow.
>> Just curious.
>> Do you Do you >> I don't but I'm looking at getting into it. Um, a couple of my friends do and you know, as I'm sure you're aware, the reloading is like pennies on the dollar, especially with the ammo prices going up like they are.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Well, the ammo prices are going up. Everything's going up. Uh, I hear that we're looking at an ammo shortage third quarter of this year. So, and I've been I've been telling my friends that go buy ammo if you can go buy uh you know, pick your pick your caliber. Um, but you know, I'm kind of I carry a 9 millimeter now. I used to be a big 45 guy, but I'm carrying 9 millimeter.
I buy a thousand rounds of 9 millimeter every other month and I probably shoot it pretty much consistently a thousand rounds uh in a month or or uh 1,000 rounds if I go out for a day of training.
I'm stocking up on 22 right now. Um, I'm stocking up specifically on some match grade 22, which uh I'm shooting I'm doing some long range 22 shooting.
And um yeah, we're not I'm not going to get into that right now. But hey, you know, it is what it is. Wow.
>> The numbers are growing.
>> The numbers are growing. 71 people still on this stream. What do you [laughter] I I you know guys, we've been going for so two hours now. We're at two hours, I think. Um [sighs and gasps] Jeff, is it time? Is it time to say goodbye?
>> I don't know, man. It's your show. It's your show. I mean, I thought you were going for 200 thumbs. Thought [laughter] you were going for 200 now.
>> 200. NOW IT'S 200. NOBODY LEAVES TILL WE hit 200. [laughter] >> Yeah.
>> Hey, how do you like this? I'm uh trying to be Santa Claus now.
I decided I'm going to give the face a break for a while. Let >> Oh, really? I'm just I'm just lazy.
I'm just lazy.
>> This is a week. This is one week.
>> So, is what it is. Uh, you can buy canned meats for 20 or 30 year shelf life. Yep, got that. Uh, the great toilet paper shortage will uh where one sheet will cost $50.
[laughter] [sighs and gasps] And uh, Smith and Wesson stock.
Nice. Two of my neighbors reload. That's Pamela. Two of her neighbors reload.
Yeah, I've got uh neighbors that uh that reload. I know uh Sierra Slim, he reloads, but he was reloading for I think a very specific purpose, and that was he was doing that cowboy action shooting.
>> And so he was >> he was doing these loads specifically for that. and they were super super light loads that uh that he could just, you know, like pop off and they would barely hit the metal targets in his uh in his competition. So, kind of is what it is.
>> I I'm not I'm not going to read it out loud because it's slightly inappropriate, but look at the comment right above mine.
>> [snorts] >> Well, hey, you know what? [laughter] You guys can read the comments for yourselves. [clears throat] [laughter] >> Read the comments for yourselves.
>> Go longer.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh, >> rouette ready.
>> Yeah. [laughter] >> All right, guys.
>> Yeah.
>> Hey, I think it is, man. We've been Yeah. Holy crap, dudes. We have been going here for two freaking hours. It is I gotta go mow the I gotta go mow the lawn, mow pastures today. I've got to fix my uh fix one of my tractors and uh and get out there and start cutting alalfa today. So, ah [sighs] it is uh it is time. Thank you all for joining us for uh the sipnet today.
