Xenophobia in South Africa, where adults incite children to loot and attack foreign businesses, creates a cycle of retaliation that threatens African unity; when Ghana rejected South African mining leases and repatriated citizens, it demonstrated that African nations will not tolerate discrimination, and addressing xenophobia requires adults to take responsibility, protect children, and recognize that discrimination undermines the very unity that South Africa fought to achieve during apartheid.

"Xenophobia Exposed: Why We Must Face the Truth About Guests Without Papers!"Añadido:
Hello everybody, welcome to the controversial podcast. My name is Benjamin Zulu. Thank you for joining me.
Uh I wouldn't say it is a wonderful day.
Um I've come across this very very disturbing videos.
And uh I'm so disappointed [music] and ashamed as a parent uh to look at uh kids and now joining into the looting.
And it raises questions that what are we doing as adults? For me, I accept that lady hate each other as adults, foreigners in South Africa. Let me beat each other, close each other's shops.
But we don't have the right to instigate kids to do this.
You see that lady who owns that uh particular fruits uh fruit store could be a mother of their colleague.
Could be a friend.
And adults are sitting there videorizing school kids looting the place.
And and some some people I see them online saying yes, they're fighting for their country. No, no, no, kids are not fighting for nothing. Ki- Let kids be kids. You know, if you you are comfortable with your 350 that you get from government and you don't see a reason to go out, just know if things go on sideways, these kids in the future might need to get a job in another country.
And you just want to uh watch them ruin themselves like this because you think they're fighting for anything?
I've even thought that these kids could be friends of my kids. And one day my kids is going to need to have a night out in your house and because they're friends of this child. So are you going to chase my child?
Or am I going to chase yours when they come to my house? I think we really really as adults, we need to keep kids out of this.
These are school kids.
Teachers need to gain control of the kids, principals, adults around. Let's fight one another as African adults where we don't like each other, but leave the kids out of this. If you fail to fight for something, [music] don't involve kids. Have a great day.
>> Look, I think I think what's important here is for all of us to stop being hypocrites, number one.
Both sides of the coin.
Being xenophobic is immoral, it's not criminal. [music] >> Yeah.
>> Being undocumented is criminal, it's not immoral.
But, you are here protecting the undocumented people, which is criminal.
And you're putting the [music] spotlight on those who seem xenophobic, which is hypocritical. So, if we're going to solve issues, let's just face the issues for what they are.
It would be nice in this room to have the very foreigners, whether legal or illegal, standing up and taking responsibility.
I'm yet to see uh foreigners that are documented helping us fight against the foreigners that are not documented.
>> What what do you say to that? What do you say to that? What do you say to that? What do you say >> I I I I think the first thing is uh he's getting it wrong.
Uh when we say xenophobia, it is a criminal offense. You must go and read uh the national I mean the national action plan and the bill.
>> Is that a law? Is that a law? It's just a plan.
>> Yes, I mean now >> [music] >> I'm here Okay, here. Example. Let's say I'm xenophobic. I'm owning up to it. The commissioner's here.
Can you arrest me, commissioner? It's immoral, it's not criminal.
>> [music] >> It's not criminal. Don't lie to us.
>> No, no, no, it is the same energy you are putting in fighting South African issues and you are putting the same energy you must put in in Zimbabwe.
When you speak when you lead people when you incite people [music] to kill other people, it is it is a crime.
>> The problem The problem with us as HUMAN BEINGS >> HUMAN Rights Commission of former, you are being convenient. [music] There is being xenophobic.
>> The problem here >> Yes.
>> I can't have two mics Hold on. I can't have two mics at the same time.
Hold on. I I hold >> Okay, I'm going to listen. I Let me finish the point that Let me Let me finish. Let me finish.
Being being xenophobic is immoral. It's not criminal. You you used to you used to hate >> But you see this is why the country's upside down.
>> Look look he doesn't have the mic speaking. So what must happen now? Must I take the show?
>> No.
>> Is this now a a South African parliament where >> Let him finish. You finish in time.
>> Thank you. Thank you. Respect the man.
This is his show. So you used to hate human rights commission.
You used to hate human rights commission when a South African let us sell out.
Wait.
>> I'm not a sell out.
>> You used to hate You used to hate You used to hate You used to hate human rights commission.
You used to hate human rights >> Hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on >> What did you say or you did >> Finish the point quickly.
>> You used to >> Can we allow him to finish the point?
Sorry. Can you just allow him to finish the point?
>> Don't raise your voice. Raise your point of argument. [music] Now here's what I'm saying to you.
>> This is where the problem is.
>> You used to >> Let us Okay. Hold on. Can can can can >> Okay.
>> Okay. So I just just a quick point.
[music] >> Yeah because I'm not going to allow anyone to speak if this is the nature of how they raise arguments in this room.
>> No make your point.
>> I'm not you definitely. That's why.
>> So you can't stop us from talking.
>> I can. [music] Do you want Do you want me to show you?
>> No guys the show hold on hold on hold on Tansa hold on hold >> There's an intimidation when he says in English who are you?
>> We talk rule of >> Who are you? Who are you?
>> people that stand up to talk uphold the rule of law.
>> I didn't you say my name.
I am repeating because they're playing into your hands.
>> I must say a point and sit down.
>> I haven't said my point.
>> You allow >> Zimbabweans >> and the former whatever >> Hold on.
>> talking >> You are talking too long to talk.
>> But I'm not. I'm running the show.
>> Okay. Many are talking while I'm trying to talk.
>> Make your point quickly.
>> Yeah my point is he used to hate human rights commission. In Soweto people die every day called [music] South Africans.
Human rights commission means much to you as the young people Soweto. Part of what you requested is that you bring an office in Soweto so that you can protect [music] the South Africans that are in Soweto. Unless that the definition for human rights is that it's human >> [music] >> rights that are not from South Africa.
Because the South African human rights, they don't respond to us when we don't have electricity. Electricity is a basic human right.
>> [music] >> But when you lack electricity, 8 years without electricity in Soweto in some communities, where's human rights statement around that point? Stop being [music] a hypocrite. If you want to take the country forward, let's meet up for real and not pretend here.
>> We have a major breaking news guys as Ghana rejects the renewal of South African Gold Fields.
Africans must go. We don't need Africans. Ghanaians are also saying that we literally do not need your business as is South Africa in Ghana.
>> [laughter] >> Ghana rejects the renewal of South African Gold Fields. 30 years mining lease from the Damang Gold Mine. And according to the Ghanaian government, officials maintain they are not pursuing blanket nationalization, but rather they want to empower local workers, transfer technologies, and secure greater benefits for host communities.
>> [laughter] >> While the government has stated it remain committed to reviewing the lease for the large Tarkwa Mine, which expires in 2027, they have ruled out an automatic extension.
Gold Fields must now submit detailed investment and development plan to technical committees and the mining ministers.
You see why I keep telling people that if thing that South Africans are doing religiously sink them they think it's a joke. It's coming gradually, but South Africans are going to understand better.
Anyways, like, comment, and follow for more. I'll see you in my next one.
>> So, this Jacinta lady right here is saying that the Ghanaians overreacted by repatriating their citizens from South Africa back to Ghana.
>> [music] >> So, you show videos where you go on the streets hitting foreigners with shamboks and with [music] sticks.
They show videos where you enter Ghanaian shops and shops of other Africans. You loot them dry.
They show videos whereby you enter their homes, you chase them from their homes, and you take everything they've worked for.
They show us videos where you enter into their hairdressing salons, you intimidate them, you beat some of them, and you send them packing, and you take over their businesses. [music] So, you want a situation whereby the Ghanaians will remain and be begging you, "Oh, South Africans, please don't do this.
South Africans, we are sorry." Is that what you want? No African is going to worship you because they're in your country. That is something that will never happen.
>> [music] >> You do not understand. Now, I think the background to this kind of behavior come from apartheid, what you call apartheid.
But, it's apartheid, the correct pronunciation is apartheid. So, you call it apartheid. So, it comes from apartheid, where the first citizens during apartheid were white South Africans.
Number two citizens during apartheid were Indians. Number three citizens during apartheid were colored South Africans. Then, the last bottom of the list were black South Africans.
>> [music] >> That is why um they also want someone to dominate.
They can't be at the bottom of the food chain. They also want somebody to dominate.
>> [music] >> And that is what is leading to them expecting Africans to worship them because they felt according to Bantu education, they felt they were better than all other Africans.
>> [music] >> But when the Africans start coming in educated, good-looking, well-spoken, and quite intelligent, business-oriented, then they felt like no, even these people, I don't think we can compete with them.
And this is why they want a situation whereby they will intimidate, they will undermine, and they will exploit them, and all they they want the Africans to do is to be begging.
Ghana is not going to beg you.
Nigeria is not going to definitely not going to beg you. Congo is not going to beg you.
>> [music] >> Burundi, Malawi, they're not going to Maybe the Basothos from Lesotho will beg you or the Batswana from Botswana will beg you.
But the others will not beg you and thank you for looting. They will not thank you for unaliving them. They will not thank you for going on the street, shamboking them. They will not thank you for that. So, the Ghanaians did well by repatriating their citizens because this intimidation has to stop. And you know there are going to be consequences. So, Ghanaians did not overreact. Ghanaians did what a normal, responsible government should do, and I'm waiting for the Nigerians to do the same.
>> So, you see these people here. You see these three three people [music] here.
Let me tell you something.
It has gotten to a stage where even even See, let let's call a spade a spade.
Do not lay hands on them.
Yeah. Why do I say so? If you lay hands on these three individuals in South Africa, you are going to worsen the matter, the current situation in South Africa is going to be worse.
It's going to be worse.
Innocent [music] inno- innocent foreigners will smell the pepper because these people they have numbers, so they have people already on the street. So, arresting them or touching them will be a very, very, very big mistake. So, let us take note of it.
I I I think the president should come out, address the nation on the concerns these people are raising.
Um and and and and give solutions on how how it will be done. Let the Let them tighten the immigrations. Let them tighten the the borders. Uh those that are illegal, let them let them screen them and and then let the immigration work. If If they see the immigration is working, they will go back home. But, arresting these individual um is a no, no, no.
