A power management device integrates surge protection, voltage monitoring, and on/off control in a single unit, featuring labeled terminals (L1, L2, ground for input; T1, T2 for output) and monitoring capabilities for voltage, wattage, hertz, power factor, and amperage, while being rated for 63 amps for on/off purposes rather than overcurrent protection.

Power Management Device BUILD 110/220 120/240 LFG LGB
Added:So, I just got an order in for a Mikey Pipes surge protection device. This is the disconnect panel that I make my hand right here in Woodmere, New York. It has the disconnect, it has voltage monitoring and surge protection one device, but he didn't tell me if he wanted a 12 or 10 gauge whip or no whip. Let's give him a call.
Hi, is this Mark?
Mark, it's me, Mikey Pipes.
No, I'm not kidding you.
I did. And I made it to Brooklyn and back.
So, I am I am recording live not live, but I'm recording right now. Right? And uh I have your order for your surge protection device, MP SPD 01. Do you want Do you want a uh you want a whip with it or no whip?
Okay.
Okay, so I'm going to use I'm going to use 10 gauge between between everything inside of it. All you got to do is you know, just you know, follow directions.
There's set of terminals marked L L1, L2, and ground. And the other set will be the output to to the load, but I'm making that right now.
Oh, awesome. Well, you're going to have It's going to be It's going to be mailed out today by the post office uh the whatever priority it is and um yeah, awesome.
I'll send Thank you.
My pleasure, Thank you. Thank you. God bless. All right. Bye.
Bye.
Okay, let's build this, folks. So, in case you're wondering what this is, I build these devices that have power monitor, uh an on-off ability, and surge protection.
Now, I got this idea because RectorSeal makes something similar, right? However, it's about 450 bucks plus tax.
I'm like, this is crazy, right? So, I've sourced the raw components.
Now, nothing has a UL listing, but everything is listed for uh use in the EU and the rest of the rest of the world.
Now, take that as you may, but I make these boxes, and I offer them to the viewers, and I ask for a donation to my nonprofit. And 100% of the proceeds of the making of these go to that nonprofit.
So, I'm not making anything off of this.
Um none of that like that.
Just just offering a product that I think is awesome. I've installed it about four or five times so far, and the clients love them, especially when they see the voltage, the wattage, the hertz, the power factor, amperage, all in this little device right here.
It's awesome.
All right, got a little quality control testing here. We have incoming voltage.
Everything's powered up.
When the unit is has power applied to it from this from the circuit, this will automatically gets power, and so does L1 here. We turn power on at the breaker, we get power to our module and our power monitoring, and L T1 and T2 are energized. All right, I have the Mikey Pipes surge protection device all packaged up. Uh it come you know in the original box it still fits. If if you're adding a whip it's not going to fit in there. Uh but it'll be in the box and I like to recycle. So I'm going to be using some shredded cardboard.
I know it sounds crazy.
Using shredded cardboard >> [laughter] >> for packing material.
See?
Look at that. And we're we're environmentally friendly here at Mikey Pipes. Look at that. A little bit more in there. There you go.
Perfect. This was one box by the way.
So now we have some packing material in there. I got stickers in there ready for my business card, magnets, all that good stuff. If you're interested in this go to mikeypipes.com/shop.
Or you can always email me [email protected] your order and I can take a credit card uh that way as well.
Let's button this up, send it off. One thing I didn't show you is that the terminals uh L1, L2, and ground all are labeled and so is T1, T2. Those who know know what that means. We are good.
Thanks for watching. Here's another look at the Mikey Pipes surge protection device.
We have incoming voltage going to L1, L2, and ground marked with a label on each. Makes it easy for the wires to be connected on the field. You have T1, this is our load, T2 our load, and ground goes together.
So that's our power on and off. It is rated for 63 amps but don't rely on this for amperage over amperage protection.
You should be relying on the circuit breaker itself but it is rated for 63 amps.
Uh I'm just using this for on and off purposes.
When the power is applied to L1, L2, the surge protection device gets power.
And L1, L2 on the top of our circuit breaker is also live. These are off.
That's off.
Pretty cool.
mikeypipes.com/shop for more information. All right, this one's ready to go.
Even autographed with the date.
It's been tested.
It works. It powers up.
Thanks for watching. And in case you're wondering, we also have 110 V models.
Monitoring on, off, and surge protection all in one neat little box.
Nanacleres AC repairs. And that's Daniel's Nanaclare.
And Derek is wearing your grandma on her on his chest.
