[00:00:10]So today on Project Shop, we got uh a special guest with us and he brought his silver refining setup. Uh it's like a whole thing he's got here and he's going to show me how to run some silver and then we're going to run some of the silver that I got. See if we can't refine it down.

[00:00:29]Uh he's got like a whole setup with um what is that? A what was it? A scrubber with uh what was it? Activated aluminum.

[00:00:39]>> Activated aluminum. And he built this whole thing basically right here on his trailer. It was processing this stuff, which is pretty it's right up my alley of redneck engineering. Um so we're going to get this off the trailer, go set it up away from everything, and um see if we can't recover some silver.

[00:05:58]>> Yeah. We're going to put uh 50% um acid, nitric acid, a 67% mixture, and then we're going to dilute that in half with distilled water. Do you need some of this still water or you got it? Oh, you got it. This guy brought everything.

We are putting heat on this to speed it up a little bit. So, we're going to dilute it down and then um we're going to uh just see what it does. And if it stops reacting, we just add a little bit more nitrous as we go. Okay. And it'll keep reacting.

[00:13:54]And we already had to uh this thing when we brought it here this motor oil that thing was seized up and wasn't working. I had to hit it with my air hammer with a button to break the corrosion on the on the bearings and lube the crap out of it. So, what we're going to do is lube it before and after every run and spin it so it doesn't get uh we'll just keep a coat of oil on it.

So he actually once he pulls the stuff off he's left with like copper or brass which you can sell back and get and recoup some more money but the lead is not so much. I mean you can still sell it back but it's not going to be as profitable as brass and copper. It's pretty interesting.
