Humility is not timidity or insecurity; it is being empty enough to seek, learn, and serve others. A humble person is a seeker who doesn't pretend to know everything, a student who can be corrected, and a servant who uses their gifts to bless others rather than build their ego. True humility can coexist with confidence and boldness, as demonstrated by Moses, who was described as the most humble man yet stood boldly before Pharaoh to demand freedom for God's people.

FULLTANK SATURDAY: Humility Is Not TimidityAdded:
You can be humble and [music] confident at the same time. You [snorts] know, humility confuses a lot of people because we mix humility [music] with other stuff that does not belong to humility. I remember a classmate of mine who was very shy. [music] We called her Isabel the invisible. She was so quiet we sometimes forgot that she existed.
The only reason we knew she was still alive was during roll call. Isabel, the teacher would [music] say, and we'd see her raise her hand just slightly. After that, she'd blend into the gray walls of the classroom and vanish. When we did see her, her hair covered half of her face, so [music] we didn't really know what she looked like. But if you read our yearbook, you'd see this description beneath her photo. Isabel is a very humble [music] person. Why? Because people confuse humility with timidity, but they're worlds apart.
Timidity can be a personality. It can be an insecurity. It can be fear. It can be selfishness, but it isn't humility. In fact, you can be humble and confident at the same time. Yes, you can be humble and assertive at the same time. [music] How do I know? The Bible calls Moses the most [music] humble man on Earth, yet this most humble man stood before Pharaoh and said, "Let my people go."
Woah, if that's not boldness, I don't know what is. So, [music] what is humility? Humility is being empty. Empty enough to seek, empty enough to learn, empty enough to serve. A humble person is a seeker. He does not pretend he knows everything. A humble person [music] is a student. She can be corrected. And a humble person is a servant. He does not use people to build his ego. He uses his gifts [music] to bless others. In today's gospel, the religious leaders ask [music] Jesus, "By what authority are you doing these things?" But they weren't really asking, right? They were attacking. [music] They asked a question, but they didn't want an answer. They wanted to trap Jesus. This is [music] pride. Pride asks questions without wanting truth. Pride listens without receiving. Pride studies without [music] surrendering. Pride says, "Lord, explain yourself to me." Instead of saying, [music] "Lord, teach me." One day, my neighbor died. He was 80 years old. I remember visiting the [music] wake. As I viewed the coffin, I was struck by one fact I never realized before. The old man had a large mole at the edge of his chin. Yep, exactly like mine. In the exact same place. In an eerie sort of [music] way, I felt I was looking at myself in a coffin some years from now.
[music] It sent shivers down my spine. I felt God telling me, "One day, it'll be your turn in that box." My friend, death is the last humiliation. No matter how much money or achievements [music] or success we gain on Earth, we'll be humbled by death [music] and we'll be empty again. So, why wait for death [music] to humble us? Why not choose to be empty before God? Choose humility now. Be a seeker. Be a student.
Be a servant. Here's [music] a big question I want you to answer in the comments. Where is God asking you to be more humble today?
>> [music] >> Write it down and let's pray for one another. Before we pray, can I invite parents? I'm going to ask you this question. What do you think would be the best [music] school for your children?
For some of you, it will be regular school. But there will be some children who will fit more in homeschooling.
[music] The problem is many parents think that oh, it's too strange, it's too [music] weird. But you know what? Why not have an open mind? In fact, I'm going to invite you to be curious [music] about homeschooling. 20 years ago, I started an organization called Catholic Filipino Academy Homeschool. [music] And we have taught thousands of parents homeschool their kids successfully. To [music] know more about homeschooling, visit our Facebook page CFA Homeschool.
Find out when our orientation will be.
Who knows, it might just be the [music] blessing that your children need. I repeat, visit our Facebook page CFA Homeschool. Come, let us pray. [music] In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Lord, empty me of my pride. Make me teachable, bold, and loving. [music] Teach me to seek, to learn, and to serve. I empty myself before you. [music] Come, fill me up. In Jesus name. Amen and amen.
Parents, once again, to know more about homeschooling, [music] visit our Facebook page CFA Homeschooling. I repeat, visit our Facebook page CFA Homeschooling. This is Bo Sanchez [music] here in Full Tank. God bless you and I will see you tomorrow.
