How I started.

[00:00:00]I wanted to do something crazy when I was 17 years old. I wanted to open a skateboard snowboard shop. It's going to be called Fatman. And I had all the business plans and everything and I went out to every bank, I went to everyone in my family, everybody who I thought had money, and I got turned down by everybody. My mom watched all this happen. I remember there was one final bank that I went to and they said maybe they wanted tangible real estate as collateral. When I came home, I was pretty depressed. I told mom about this and she says, "Collateral? You mean like our house?"

[00:00:33]Yeah, exactly like that. She's like, "Well, I think this house has enough equity and collateral for that loan. Why don't we do that?" She was that unconditional one. And you know, whether your mom's your unconditional one or not, all you need is one person to believe in you. One person in your life has to believe in you. And sometimes that person is just you.
