[00:00:02]Here's a simple [music] trick. In German, every word has gender. Der represents masculine, die represents [music] feminine, and das represents neutral. It is easy, just look at the ending of the noun. If the noun ends in -ung, [music] -keit, -heit, -tät, -tion, -e, -schaft, the article will be die. If it is -el, -en, [music] -ismus, -ling, -ig, the article will be der. And if it is -chen, -lein, -ment, -um, -ma, the article will be das.
