What's up? It's Dumpster Marcus. We got to do a bunch of scrap pickups and let's see what else we get into.
I've been consistently every other day posting in all these Facebook groups and on the Next Door app and I'm trying to be consistent and uh it's paying off.
Uh, I've been getting a lot of calls recently and I'm trying to schedule them all for the same day pickup because right now I'm doing four pickups and uh, you know, trying to save some money on gas just doing like scrap pickups. Like one's a dryer, one's a grill and something else and then one's a stove.
So, I just don't want to be going out doing one pickup. So, I've been trying to I've been trying to uh put them all together as one pickup. So, we got four pickups today. Maybe five, but I'm not sure because the person put it out to the curb. So, is it going to be there?
But it's a block away from my other pickup. So, we'll see.

The streets are so narrow and a lot of times people park on both sides and when they do, I'm stuck. Yeah, they're still there. Can't believe it.

Hey, if not a lot of people watch my videos all the time. I store my scrap at my house because I like to micro scrap everything.
Like these chairs, they're aluminum.
Some people will just bring them in and get dirty aluminum because, you know, they do have some bolts and they have this plastic on it. But I'm going to cut all this apart so it's easy to put in my truck. I fill up these totes.
And when the totes are filled, I bring a whole load of extruded in.
Cuz my a couple videos ago, people are saying, "Oh, I'm not productive."
Because my last cleanout job where I got stuck in the mud, uh, I had to dump the load at my house to go do another job.
That's not being productive. That's me having a full-time job and doing this after my full-time job. The scrapyard closes at 5. I get out of work at 4:30.
The dump where I take trash closes at 3:30.
So, and I do jobs mostly on the weekend.
On Saturdays, the dump where I dump trash closes at 11:00 and Sundays they're closed. And that day, I was doing a cleanout on Sunday. So, the dump is closed. So, what do you want me to do? I have to dump and do another job.
I'm not going to cancel a job because I don't feel like I can't go to the dump because I'm only one person. I only can go to the scrapards on the weekend. So, like right now it's during the week. I have to dump all this stuff in my yard because tomorrow after work I'm going to do a cleanout job. So, I need my trailer empty.
So dumping stuff in my yard, it gives me more time for you to separate stuff because I separate everything. Like this bed frame, that's that's short steel.
What am I going to do? I'm going to cut all this here in the center to make it short steel. I'm just not going to take it in and not get short steel price when it's $50 a gross ton more.
I have all these chairs I got to micro scrap and take apart. all these ones and I have more.
So, I'm a very productive person, but I'm only one person and I only have one trailer. So, if it's filled and I have another job, I got to empty it.
Most of the new washers and dryers, they're all aluminum motors. So, let's test this one.
Oh, and look at that. This is a old washer and it's aluminum.
I get so much slack that I don't check my motors, my washers and dryers just in the last video, but I don't show it on camera every time I do something or check something. I might have already did it, but I just didn't show it on camera. And you always got to check them. But most of the new ones, they're all aluminum. And look, even an old washer, aluminum.
So, I showed it, but now you know.
They work. I had them look them up on eBay real quick just to make sure.
There's only one posted for 40 bucks plus shipping and none sold. So, figured I'd look.
We got a nice extension cord cable.
So, good. good on that. But this hood is aluminum.
That's cast aluminum.
It would be extruded aluminum.

That's sheet. We got cast.
This whole thing's aluminum.

It's newerish. So, it could be aluminum copper.

Double copper. Sweet on that. I got six of those puppies. I got six of the double copper transformers. I got this whole five gallon bucket of extruded, half a five gallon bucket of cast and all this sheet.

Backboard's broken, but I have a brand new backboard at home. I'll show you.
They're like $450 brand new. So, I never bought one. Got one now.
You ever saved something and said, "Hey, I'm gonna use that one day." Well, that one day is this day.
Both of these backboards. This is a 48 in. This is a 52 in. Brand new in Dick Sporting Goods dumpster.
Literally 15 years ago or probably more when I first started dumpster diving. I was 21.
So 20 years ago. So literally 20 years ago this year and I said I'm going to save this because I'll use it one day because they're brand new. That's why you save stuff. I don't know. not made for 20 years, but I just threw it up in my attic in the garage and you know, you just kind of forget about it. And now I got that basketball hoop with the cracked backboard. Now we're going to fix it and me and Cass are going to use it because those brand new are like $450.
That's why I never bought one. Now we got it for free. See this basketball hoop? It's cracked, but the hoop's good. And this goes up and down like it should. And that holds water. So why not save this and me and Cass could play basketball.
Oh yeah. I just got to clean it with Windex cuz it's been sitting up there for 20 years. Maybe I'll repaint this too. But sweet free basketball hoop.
This thing like goes up like this. You just hold this There's 10 feet.
So if I'm playing by myself, I could play NBA style. Or if I'm playing with Cass, you play it with it down. Trash picking.

All right, laid the fridge. Look at that fridge.
I laid that fridge down because I just remembered I'm doing this house clean out and in the basement I got all these five gallon buckets filled to like little pieces of metal and like nails and screws and you know all sorts of stuff. I got 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 5 gallon buckets filled to like nails and screws and little things I just don't want to throw in my dump trailer to have other people run over at the scrapyard. So, we're going to fill that fridge.
I got a decent amount of weight in here.
All filled up.
Smile scrapyard. Not long.

and pull out everybody's play.
Scrap bear wasn't that back then.
Sometimes it's crazy. It's 225 a gross ton. I weighed 2,740 lb for $27522.
So, can't complain on all those pickups.
