In a simulation of seven historical empires (British, Mongol, Abbasid Caliphate, Russian, Roman, Spanish, and Brazilian) competing for global conquest, the Mongol Empire ultimately prevailed due to its strategic geographic positioning and efficient expansion tactics, demonstrating that empires with central geographic locations and the ability to expand systematically across multiple fronts have significant advantages in territorial conquest scenarios.

Simulating WAR With the BIGGEST Empires in HistoryAdded:
All right. I've always wondered what would happen if all of history's biggest empires existed in their peak at the same time. So, right now, I'm going to simulate the territorial expansion of seven massive historical empires to see who would prevail and conquer the world.
Now, as you guys can see, I have carefully and meticulously crafted this beautiful world map that contains seven giant empires. And if you guys can't tell which empires I've done, I'm going to go through them right now, don't worry. As you can see, the Mongols are clearly the blue ones. And then above them, you've got the Russian Empire.
You've got the British Empire in India, in some parts of Indonesia, up in New Guinea, Australia. And of course, they did scatter around here in in Africa.
The extra white bots that you see are neutral bots. So, don't get confused with the British Empire and the neutral bots. I couldn't control the colors.
They had They had to both be white, unfortunately. But they won't be on the same team. As you guys can see on the pie chart, they are still on different teams. It just appears that they are on the same team. And then for black, we have the Abbasid Caliphate, one of the biggest empires in the Middle East. And then the Romans on the left. We've got the Spanish Empire. They do have a little bit of Spain here. And right below them, is the Brazilian Empire. So, that's everything pretty much. I mean, without further ado, let's get this simulation going, right? And let's just watch the initial expansion from far away. You can see on the pie chart here, the British Empire already have 22%, which is a bit annoying, but yeah, it's just how it is. I've tried to combat this by putting a bunch of neutral bots in the in Africa, and obviously in Greenland, cuz they historically didn't conquer that land. So, I just didn't I didn't want to just give it to them. And let's see what they can do here. I mean, they have 23%. They have a big advantage over everyone. But they also have to fight on so many different fronts, on different parts of the world. They've got to fight this Indian front against the Abbasids and the Mongols. And then they've also got to fight the Romans and the Abbasids here. And then up here, they've got to fight the Spanish. We'll probably win this fight, given how much more bots they have there. But let's see the the world has shaped up now. This is what it looks like. How satisfying is this? I actually have no clue who who's going to win in this position. It can go to anybody. It might look like the British are going to win, but you just never know. I'm personally rooting for the Abbasids. I want to see the Abbasids conquer the world from the middle of everybody. Like they literally bought every single empire except for the ones here. So if they somehow get out of this alive and win, I would be very, very pleased with that. The Roman Empire is making their moves downwards into Africa. Actually doing a pretty decent job as well. They've actually got the crown too. Well, and oh, never mind. The Spanish Empire now have the crown up in in Canada or Alaska / Canada. And the British Empire trying to carve through them very slowly, but I suspect that this Spanish Empire guy is going to take up all the land eventually. And the Brazilians down here, they're doing pretty good for themselves. They're slowly carving through the Spanish.
Hopefully they will put up a fight against the Spanish later on and we don't just see the Spanish completely wipe everybody clean. And let's have a look on the other side. We've got look all of Australia belongs to the British.
So they're basically not going to do anything except donate to everybody here. The Mongols are trying to secure this Asian area to make sure they don't have to deal with so many different fronts. And they're doing a pretty good job of containing the threat that is the British Empire. They've got 27% by the way. They're actually technically winning. They're in a very winning position right now. And I really hope they don't win. It would be such a cop-out. The the people that had the most land wins the thing. But yeah, the Spanish taking control of North America, and they will probably even though the British Empire right now are carving through them one by one, it won't be long until the Spanish Empire decides to switch targets to that big British Empire there. And the Russian Empire, they're doing okay. Pretty much maintaining what they had at the beginning. Just slightly changing their borders up a little bit. And it looks like the Mongols are actually losing land here. It looks like the Abbasids are carving through a little bit. And the British Empire starting to make their way up. Even though they have some big players up here, it looks like they're starting to lose a bit of land.
And you know what? The British Empire have got 31%. I'm a bit worried about this.
We we need you Spanish Empire to not lose here and actually start conquering stuff. Okay, the the the Romans have to work with the ambassadors right now and try to take over Africa. That would be one less Oh, you know what? This is a big problem. The British Empire have made their way into Scandinavia and through Europe. That's probably how they're going to win the thing. Okay, Spanish Empire, is it going to be able to take over North America? At this rate, I'm going to have to say no. I mean, they're just too strong right now.
Okay, now I'm I'm hoping that if they will switch targets. They've got 30 Okay, they they kind of maintaining 30%.
They haven't gone up too much higher since 2 minutes ago, but you know what?
I'm still worried. Anything can happen at this point. It's not very clear clear who's going to win yet. Look at this, the Spanish Empire now making moves on the British Empire on the left. He's going down, all right. The British Empire losing percentage now. Finally.
Anyone but the British. I don't care if the Spanish wipe the whole board clean as long as the British don't win. I definitely don't have any bias against the British. It's just It's just because I gave them more land. It's not because I hate British people or something.
Can we expect anything from the Russians at this point? I think I think the Russians are going to fall now. I don't think they have much going for them anymore. And even the ambassadors are not looking too hot. The British have started carving through them, and now the Romans are starting to eat up the biggest person or the biggest bot, I should say. So, I think the ambassadors are going to be finished here. And you know what? Because the Brazilians are not big enough right now, I think the Spanish Empire might just take the board. Unless they just forget to vote and they allow whoever's here to just get massive. Maybe the British somehow can make a comeback and win. They still got 26% mind you. They don't look like they're winning anymore, but they still have over a quarter of the board. Okay, Spanish Empire has basically completely destroyed the Brazilians. Like literally, it didn't even take 2 few Now I'm I'm actually worried that the Spanish are just going to win this game really quickly and these guys won't even be able to put up a fight. I did want to see a final showdown between two empires, but it looks like the Spanish are just going to wipe everything clean.
Let's see what happens. They've got 26% for the first time we're actually going to see a different empire in the lead.
From this position the British can't win even though they have 28% of the board.
Uh, all these guys here aren't doing anything. They're just donating troops.
They don't have anyone that's like significantly bigger that can uh, just quickly carve through everything. Let's see. You know what? The Abbasids, I thought they were dead. They're actually alive and well and they might even take over the Romans here. They have more troops than them. It's very possible as long as the British uh, don't start attacking it from the back. And still the Spanish Empire hasn't voted in. What are they doing? They're just sitting there doing nothing. They're literally sitting there doing absolutely nothing.
They're sitting on max cap. They're not They're not donating. They're not doing anything. Okay, now I'm worried about the Mongol. The Mongols are getting big, too. They're They're starting to become a problem. They are bordering the British so they're blocking the Abbasids. Uh, so they're acting as a barrier between them and the Abbasids.
So, let's see if the Abbasids can quickly take out the Romans. Oh, here we go. Spanish Empire is finally voting in which will probably help the Abbasids a little bit. And now we have a fire on our hands. Look at this. We've got basically four quarters of the board.
Once the Romans are gone, the Abbasids might take all of it and we will literally have four exact quarters fighting each other. Amazing. Look at this. Here we go. Spanish have landed and I think this Spanish Empire is not thinking of voting for the rest of the game. He wants to win by supporting the other smaller guy.
>> [laughter] >> I don't know. This is This is This is just how the bots work. And here we go.
The The Abbasids are getting bigger.
They've taken almost all of Africa now.
Question is, will the Abbasids do the right thing and turn their focus to the Spanish? It looks like they're not.
They're going to get distracted by the British now, aren't they? Yes, they're going to get distracted by the British.
So, unless the Mongols do something magical right now and just start attacking the Spanish which I don't think is going to happen. Uh, we'll see We'll see though. We'll see what happens. I think the Abbasids are next to fall and I think the Mongols are just going to win cuz the Spanish the other Spanish guy still hasn't voted in yet.
And out of nowhere the Mongols are just like I didn't think they were going to win at all. They At the beginning of the game they were looking pretty dead. Oh wait, what's going on here? What just happened? The Spanish just decided they wanted to attack the Mongols. I did not expect that at all. Usually the bots just go for the the smaller guys, but they decided to go for the crown for some reason. If they can get rid of that border there, the Spanish still have a chance of winning. It's not over yet.
Here we go. The Mongols have turned their focus to the Spanish and the Abbasids are going to work with with the Mongols to get rid of the Spanish now.
Yeah, and then obviously we're going to see the Mongols just go straight for the Abbasids right after. Okay, the Abbasids lays it lays an attack on the Strait of Hormuz getting a little bit of Caucasia or actually no, it's technically like one of the stans. I don't know which one it is cuz I'm not great at geography as you guys already know. It's like this is Iran and then this is maybe Afghanistan.
I don't know. Yeah, probably is Afghanistan, right? All right, here we go. The Mongols inevitably going to win now at this point. They've got 47% of the board. That was a very fun simulation though. So I guess if all the biggest empires were all around today, the Mongols would just conquer the world.
That was beautiful and they they even expanded like how they would historically just going left to right.
Oh sorry, right to left I should say. If they send another boat into the Spanish, could they make a comeback? No, I don't think so, right? There's no way. There's no way they could make a comeback from this. It would be the generational throw if the Mongols somehow threw this away.
The biggest generational throw though is the Spanish guy not voting in. Oh, here we go. Now the Spanish Empire decided to vote. It's a bit too late now, my friend.
>> [laughter] >> They waited until they were they were completely lost to start voting in and it just swallowed up its boat and is voting back in. Oh my goodness, that's brutal. All right, I want to keep doing this series in the future. It does take a very long time to get the bots sorted out, but if you guys want to see a different set of empires instead of the seven that we did today, like maybe we can add in the Portuguese or or the French or something like that. We can change it up a little bit. Let me know in the comments what kind of setup you want to see. Maybe I can even change the map. I can make it like a Eurasian map, like an ancient or medieval kind of map.
I don't know. Let me know what you guys want in the comments.
